Sky Sports August Review

Hello there, here we are for the August review for Chelsea.

The Matchdays

The season kicked off with a strong 3-0 win against Premier League new boys West Brom who have bounced back and forth between the Championship and Premier League for quite a few years now.

Then in 3 days time Chelsea traveled to Anfield and drew in a very strong performance with rivals Liverpool. With nothing much to talk about that week we move to Matchday 3 where Chelsea whooped mysteriously struggling Aston Villa an incredible 4-1.

On that same day at Old Trafford Liverpool put on a show crushing last season England and European Champions Manchester United 3-1!

And on the second to last day of the window Chelsea pulled out a 1-0 win thanks to a Deco free kick being scored by Didier Drogba against Newcastle. Again on Matchday 4 Manchester United struggled and tied 0-0 against Portsmouth. Matchday 4 saw 5 draws in all but 2 exciting matches came from West Ham's demolishing of West Brom 4-1 and Arsenal's man handling of Blackburn 4-1.

The Transfers

Robinho to Manchester City as he signs for money, Jesus Navas to Chelsea, Alessandro Nesta to Liverpool, Berbatov to Manchester United OH MY!

This transfer season was one for the ages as Chelsea were proved not to be the richest club as Manchester City overtook them setting a British transfer record on the way signing Robinho from Real Madrid for 32 Million Pounds.

Chelsea made 2 key signings bringing in winger Jesus Navas from Seville FC and Jozzy Altidore from Villarreal. Jozzy will play backup to Drogba & Anelka and Chelsea scouts say he is a very promising talent.
Jesus Navas was signed to cover out of form winger Florent Malouda who was speculated to leave Chelsea in favour of PSV Eindhoven or Celtic FC. Eindhoven had reported interest after seeing him play against them in a preseason friendly.

Robinho eluded Chelsea in favour of higher wages for the blue side of Manchester in a move that shocked the footballing world and crushed Scolari after Big Phil had been trying to sign him the whole summer.

Sorry I havent been active guys. Ive been super busy. My teachers have suddenly decided to give me 3x the homework over the last 2 weeks then I usually get. Tonight Im taking off and may have updates on this (September calendar, preview of Middlesbrough match, that is if I dont go out dinner which I may). I will be concentrating on this now and making it a lot better hopefully.

I need more commenters!!!
