SCOTT SACKED!

Brentford FC manager Andy Scott has been sacked from his post by the Board of Directors after finishing a disappointing 14th last season. Chairman Greg Dyke says, “We really need to push forward into League 1 and even further.” “We came so close a few years ago to promotion to the Championship through the play-offs and just plunged down the leagues from there” “14th in League 2 isn’t good enough for a team who were so close to the Championship in 2004-05. It’s time to go back up the leagues.” “Myself and the Board of Directors have came to the decision that we cannot do this with Andy Scott as our manager.”
”I am obviously very disappointed at the decision but I can understand why it was made. That’s all I’ve got to say really, I’m speechless.”

Brentford are now looking for a new manager. Who will it be?

RICH AS RUSSIA

Russian Billionaire Andrei Sanuyk has inputed £10,000,000 to the budget of Brentford. Sanuyk works in the oil industry and has a rich family. When asked why he gave this money to Brentford he said (translated), “When I was doing business in London, my base was near Griffin Park, the stadium of Brentford FC, and I went to a match. Ever since then I’ve tried to look out for their results. I’ve heard of their relegation and failure to win promotion, and I want to help them out. If they use the money wisely, they could make a profit. I’m doing this for the football reasons as I’m a big fan but even though I don’t need the money, there could be a profit in this for me as well.” “I’m not taking over the club, I’d leave that to Bees United and Greg Dyke. It’s just a helping hand to climb the leagues again.”

DAVIES A BEE

New Brentford Manager

Scottish Manager Billy Davies has been appointed the new manager of Brentford FC. He previously was without a job since November 2007 after being sacked by Derby County. He joins a week before the new season and has pledged his future to Brentford by signing a five-year contract.
He says, “I signed as manager of this club because this club has a lot of potential for success. I’m sure we can go places but the first thing I’ll do is bolster the squad to give the team depth for the promotion push this season. Yes, that’s my main objective, promotion. I made my objectives clear with the team and backroom staff, but obviously I will be my fault if we don’t make it to League 1 and further.”
Transfer Talk

“Me and my scouts are heading back up to Scotland this week then down to the south of England. I know who I want to sign and with the money put forward by Andrei (Sanuyk) will help to go one step ahead of our level. The board have assured me the money and their support is behind me for the transfers I want to take through. Now it’s just up to the club(s) to accept our offers and the player(s) to seal the deal.”
“But to end this news conference, I’d just like to say I’m delighted to be the new manager of Brentford Football Club.”
