(Sebastian Frey to now do his job for Tottenham Hotspurs)

Tottenham Hotspurs today annouced the shock signing of Sebastian Frey from ACF Fiorentina. He joins for a fee around 9 million pounds, many people see this as a cheap price for such quality goalkeeper. Frey also gets 25,500 pounds a week for three years. It has been rumored that Guus Hinddink has been searchign around for a new keeper but no-one has popped up. With this move it has to signal the end of a very short career for Gomes at Spurs.

Frey and Tottenham manger Guss Hinddink have been able to comment on this transfer.

I'm glad I could get him on cheap, also I'd would like to say sorry to Gomes who has been a great keeper so far but i just don't think his up to it, if he wants to leave I will allow him. SAVED BY NOT 1 BUT 2 SUBER SUBS!

Tottenham Hotspurs travelled to Anfield today to face off against Liverpool. What went down as Robbie Keane faced off against his old team and super subs where brought on?

Liverpool kicked the game off, they broke quickly but where closed down, they continued on like that for something like 10 minutes, than Roman Pavlychenko broke down the wing, he crossed the ball in, a defender headed the ball away but Jenas headed it back in, Arshavin chested it down, he shot and scored, TOTTENHAM WHERE UP JUST MINUTES INTO THE GAME! but no the linesman called it off side, the scores remained at 0-0. Spurs toke control of the match from there.

Tottenham where not playing the ball to any poistion favouring playing it all around the field, Bentley got the ball near the half way line he spotted Corluka making a run up the wing he passed the ball to him, Corluka with the ball made a nice run up the wing but he is brought down by Dossena, he sees yellow. Jenas is going to take the free kick, it's near the box but not in shooting distance, he sends a high ball into the box, Corluka up, header just over.

Liverpool gained control from there, a 1-2 between Alonso and Torres got Alonso free down the wing, he decided to send a ground cross in, out of no-where former Spurs vice-captain Robbie Keane was able to get his foot to it, this forced a brillant save by Frey as King cleared. This wasn't the end of Liverpool attacks, as a long ball from a Liverpool defender set up Keane who was able to run around now Tottenham vice-captain Jonathan Woodgate, when Frey saw this he reacted quickly by coming out, Keane got into the box he toke a shot, blocked by Freys left leg, but it's till going in but no it just misses the goal for a corner.

The corner was taken and it was cleared, Spurs looked at the clock only seconds remained till half time, they ran up field with a serious of passes but the ref blew for half time as Bentley was away. Half time score was 0-0, you could say the game was back and forth as Tottenham controlled at the start and Liverpool controlled at the end. One time would have to shine in the second half if they where going to walk out with all three points.

Tottenham shone quickly as a Bentley cross caused troble, as Reina was only able to tap it away but not out, the ball stayed in the air ARshavin headed the ball but it was blocked by another head, the ball was still in the air Pavlychenko was about to head it home when Reina got up and collected the ball. 4 minutes later it got worse for Liverpool as Dossena brought down Corluka again, same sort of tackle as last time and the ref has shown in yellow, which makes two and now red, Liverpool are down to 10 men as Spurs are in control.

This time it was Corluka to send it into the box, Roman Pavlychenko gets his head to it, he hits it powerfully and low, WHAT A SAVE BY REINA! Reina pulls out a out of this world save to give Tottenham a corner and keep the scores 0-0. Bentley sends the ball in, cleaared but Spurs still have the ball they play around with it, they send Bentley in on the side, his free about to shoot but his closed down but Tottenham still get another corner. The corner is cleared.

Nothing much happened after that but Spurs remained in control. Guss Hinddink decided to make three changes,Fergueson, Huddlestone and Geovanni Dos Santos came on for Jenas, Modric and Arshavin. The game remained the same, Spurs where creating more but Liverpools defence where holding tight. Liverpool who where really out of this game in the second half looked to pick things up when they broke Torres but he was called offside, as SPurs continued to create chances.

The game continued with nothing much and in the 90th minute, it looked like Tottenham had broke Pavlychenko but he was called offside, that looked like it would be game over but Zhirkov didn't think so as he ran down the wing but a defender got his foot in and Spurs got a throw in. This would have to be the last chance of the match, as Fergueson toke the throw in, he threw to Huddlestone, who ran abit up field than turned around a defender, he crossed the ball in as Dos Santos jumped up, he got his head to it and IT'S GONE OVER REINA INTO THE NET!, GOAL! DOS SANTOS, GOAL! TOTTENHAM HOTSPURS! that has to do it, as Dos Santos and the whole Tottenham side ran down to there goal to celebrate with the travelling fans, Tottenham had ot have won it as two Tottenham players will go down as suber subs today. Liverpool kicked off as the ref blew for full time, Tottenham win 1-0 here at Anfield today.

Tottenham Hotspurs deserved the goal and the victory here as they worked hard in the second half. Fans, players and manger will have to be happy with a win today.
