Arsenal Comeback with a Bang Stoke 2 - 5 Arsenal Amdy Faye 10' Dave Kitson 15' Emmanuel Adebayor 43', 56' Robin Van Persie 45', 73' Theo Walcott 90' ![]() After Stoke went 2-0 up after 15 minutes, Arsenal looked out of it, but an inspiring performance from Theo Walcott saw Arsenal leave the Brittania Stadium with all 3 points. Amdy Faye got the first goal and what a great goal it was. Liam Lawrence beat Gael Clichy for pure skill before crossing the ball into the Penalty area. Kolo Toure left it for William Gallas, who thought Toure would clear, and Amdy Faye capitolised and put it into the net from 4 yards. Dave Kitson then put Stoke 2-0 up as his superb diving header flew past Manuel Almunia after another defencive mistake. Arsenal looked to attack, but it was Stoke who had another good chance, but a good save from Almunia denied Delap. Arsenal pulled a goal back in the 43rd minute as they looked for a comeback. Adebayor ran with Leon Cort before slotting the ball through the legs of Tomas Sorenson. But The Half didn't end there, Robin Van Persie got the equaliser which ended the half with Arsenal drawing with newly promoted Stoke.
The second half was much more exciting as Arsenal took the leag just inside the half with a superb header from Emmanuel Adebayor after a Cesc Fabregas corner. Tomas Sorenson was the man to blame as he was caught in two minds about coming or staying and left the goal open. Arsenal then got a two goal advantage as Robin Van Persie got his second, a superb through ball by Denilson for Theo Walcott saw the young Englishman take on Ryan Shawcross before pulling the ball pack for The Dutchman who hammered it into the top corner. Stoke tried to find a goal from anywhere, and almost found one from Andy Griffin, but his 32 yard effort hit the bar after deflecting off Gael Clichy. Theo Walcott then rounded off the game as Nicklas Bendtner's cross found Theo Walcott, who looked to have slipped, but the ball ended up flying into the roof of the net + Arsenal Goals: Emmanuel Adebayor 43', 56', Robin Van Persie 45', 73', Theo Walcott 90' + Stoke Goals: Amdy Faye 10', Dave Kitson 15' + Arsenal Bookings: Gael Clichy 23', Samir Nasri 74' + Stoke Bookings: Rory Delap 6', Ricardo Fuller 62', Liam Lawrence 88' + Arsenal Injuries: None + Stoke Injuries: None + Arsenal Subs: Denilson on for Abou Diaby 47', Nicklas Bendtner on for Emmanuel Adebayor 66' + Stoke Subs: Ryan Shawcross on for Leon Cort 63', Tom Soares on for Rory Delap 71' + Man of the Match: Theo Walcott 9/10
