Benitez Saga Continues

MELWOOD PARK today had a larger crowd then an earlier FA Cup round at Anfield this afternoon as Liverpool took to the park with the aftermath of the Managerial problems on their back.

If the Champions League winning coach was under fire it wasn't showing as he took the training sessions Liverpool well, even at one moment looking like the young sprite he was during his playing days in Spain.

Several of the Liverpool players were heavily questioned by the media of many newspapers, to the exent at one stage where captain Steven Gerrard was boxed in by the marauding media. In response he waved conservativley and revved his V10 Bentley Motor, quickly discoraging any further media advances.

A man that doesnt just have to deal with the pressures on the football pitch.

However there is some good news for Benitez supporters as Tom Hicks, the co-owner of Liverpool said that if Rafa was to leave the club, it would be on personal levels not performance wise. "You cant say he hasn't done anything for the club, Tom Said. "He has won us a Champions Legue and an FA Cup."

It's believed that the matter will be resolved within the next few days, so that in the event of the second managerial position left vacant this season - David Moyes left for 'bigger things' at Rochdale - there will be time to recover for the season opener.

Tom throws 'some' support behind embattled manager Rafa.
