Default Chelsea 2-3 Man Utd

^Scholes celebrating after scoring his goal^

Team News
-Rafael starts at RB instead of G. Neville
-Ronaldo is rested and Nani takes his place
-Giggs is also rested and Park replaces him
-Vidic returns after his suspension

Chelsea played a lot better than they did in the first leg. This was mostly because Man United were less attacking and Chelsea knew they had to attack from the start if they stood any chance.

The first half was not very exciting but Chelsea had the most possession and the best chances but Man United managed to take the lead 4 minutes from the end of the half. Berbatov was one-on-one with the keeper and just lifted the ball over the head Cech.

Chelsea managed to equalize in the 45th minute when Joe Cole smashed the ball across the face of goal for Drogba to smash past Van Der Sar and both teams went into the break all level.

Man United restored their lead in the 52nd minute when Ronaldo crossed the ball to the back post and Paul Scholes headed the ball into the bottom corner just out of the reach of Cech. Man United sealed the win in the 72nd minute when the ball was crossed into the box and Rooney scored with a diving header which left Cech rooted to his spot.

Chelsea got a late consolation goal when Van Der Sar scuffed his kick and it went straight to Essien, he headed it to Drogba and he tapped it into the net.

Default Man Utd 2-3 Reading

^Doyle tackles Park^

Man United brought back their normal team for this match. Ryan Giggs came back to replace Ji Sung Park. Neville came back to replace Rafael. Also Ronaldo returned to replace Nani.

Man United were wasteful with their chances in the first 15 minutes and they paid for it in the 18th minute when Reading took a short corner to Bikey and he crossed it to Convey and he volleyed it into the net to give Reading an unexpected lead.

Berbatov nearly equalised for Man United 5 minutes later when Hannemahn just managed to tip Berbatov’s header onto the bar from a corner.

Man United kept on attacking but they couldn’t find a way through and went into half-time 1-0 down. Reading extended their lead in the 53rd minute. Vidic was tackled on the edge of the box and the ball went to Doyle. He just had to tap the ball into the net.

Berbatov pulled a goal back a minute later after Berbatov dribbled past the defenders he smashed the ball into the bottom corner. The keeper thought that he was going across the goal but went for the near post instead and was caught out.

Berbatov equalised in the 76th minute when Rooney’s shot was saved but the save went straight to Berbatov and he tapped it into the net. Reading restored their lead a minute later. Doyle went on a brilliant run past all the defenders before slotting it past Van Der Sar to give Reading a memorable win. This was also a great day for Kevin Doyle who supported Man United as a kid.

Great win against Chelsea, but tough loss against Reading off the back of it.

You need to pick your pics more carefully, from what I can read Park wasn't involved in the Reading game

I think i'm being overly picky though

Default Man Utd win the League

^Ryan Giggs celebrates after winning the league for a 14th time^

Man United have managed to win their 5th FA Premier League in a row today, and their 14th overall. They thought that they would have to wait until next week to retain their title, after their 3-2 loss to Reading, but news filtered in during the match that Chelsea were drawing with Man City and this meant that whatever the result Man United would retain the title. With 3 games to go for Chelsea, Man United are 11 points ahead and have a game in hand meaning Chelsea can’t catch up with United. This was Ryan Giggs’ 14th minute League trophy and he did an interview right after the match, this was what he had to say “I’m delighted to get another winner’s medal. Even though I have won so many, each of them are as important as the other. This is some players’ first trophy and hopefully they can win a lot more with United. There are some good, young players at this club and I think that they have the quality to keep winning the league and make sure the trophy stays at Old Trafford. I have a couple more years in me and hopefully I can experience days like these a couple more times in my Career. Our next target is to win the Champions league for a 4th time and that is a very realistic target for us.” Man United finish off the season with games against CrystalPalace, Everton, Portsmouth and finish the league campaign with a home game against Aston Villa.
