Man United have progessed to the 1/4 final of the Champions League after a 3-0 win over Wisla Krakow and a 9-0 win on aggregate. Man United could have easily lost the match if they hadn't got Ben Amos in goal. He was terrific for the whole match pulling off some magnificent saves.

Man United went down to 10 men in the 24th minute when Jonny Evans slid in from behind a Wisla Krakow striker in the box. The referee pointed straight to the spot and gave Evans the red card. Amos saved Evans from the embarrasment as he dived into the bottom corner and saved the penalty.

Ryan Giggs gave Man United the lead on the stroke of half-time. Rossi used his pace to speed away from his marker. He then tried to go round the keeper but the keeper saved it, a defender then kicked the ball off Rossi and it fell to Giggs for him to poke it into an empty net.

Nani and Rossi extended the lead in the second half for United. Nani scored in the 64th minute when he smashed the ball into the net at the near post. Rossi scored 2 minutes from time when United broke quickly after a Wisla corner.

Even though United scored 3 goals today it was the performance from the defenders that won the match for United. Amos made tons of fingertip saves and capped it off with a penalty save in the 24th minute. O'Shea, Pique and Evans all made last ditch tackles to keep out the Wisla strikers.

Default Man Utd 3-0 Chelsea

Chelsea blown away

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/telegraph/multimedia/archive/01013/berbatov_1013240c.jpg
^Berbatov celebrates after his goal^

Man United have progressed to the Semi-Final of the FA Cup with a 3-0 win over Chelsea. Man United controlled the game and were never in any danger of losing. Ben Amos had to pull off a couple of good saves in the second half but they were nothing to worry about.

Man United got off to a fast start today, having a couple of early chances and they managed to put one of those chances away in the 7th minute. Evra crossed the ball into the box and everyone thought it was too long but Ronaldo made a late run at the back post and headed the ball into the top corner, giving Cech no chance.

Berbatov had went close twice before that. The first chance was in the second minute when Ronaldo crossed the ball into the box, he headed the ball down towards the bottom corner but it was just a fraction wide. The second chance caught Chelsea by surprise. Berbatov was being forced wide by Terry but somehow he managed to spin and have a shot but fortunatley for Chelsea the shot hit the side netting.

Carrick nearly doubled Man United's lead in the 18th minute but was denied by the crossbar. Giggs whipped the ball into the box from a corner and Cech came out to gather it but Carrick got their before him and headed the ball against the crossbar. Man United did get their second goal on the stroke of half-time. Berbatov was fouled on the edge of the box and everyone thought that Ronaldo would take the free-kick but Rooney was the man to take it. He smashed the ball, it hit the woodwork and flew into the net. Cech managed to get a touch to it but he couldn't keep it out.

At Half-time, Sir Alex must have been delighted with the way his side had performed but he knew that they would have to keep it up in the second half if they wanted to win. And they did, Rooney went close early on from another free kick. He smashed the ball just like last time but this time Cech's touch was big enough to pulalalala onto the post and back out again.

Man United were abit sloppy with their passes near the end of the game but that didn't stop them from getting another goal. Carrick crossed the ball in, Rooney headed the ball against the post but Berbatov was there to flick it in.

Guys, I was thinking about doing box scores for the matches against Derby and Newcastle, then doing a live for my Champions League 1/4 final. What do you think?

Default Champions League 1/4 Final Draw

Thank You, Everyone for joining me here in Monaco for the draw for the quater final of the Champions League. Ajax, Benfica, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Porto, Real Madrid, St-Etienne and Tottenham are all still in the draw. Manchester United and Ajax both came out comfortable winners in the last 16 but Tottenham, Bayern and Benfica all had very nervy matches. I will now hand over to the president of UEFA, Michel Platini.

Ok without futher a do lets begin the draw.

The first team out is........
Benfica and they will play .....
defending champions Manchester Utd

The next team out is......
Porto who'll be against.......
Real Madrid

The teams that will contest the 3rd match are......
St-Etienne and.........
Ajax

That means the last match will be
Tottenham against...
Bayern Munich

There is some very interesting ties in there but now i'm sorry that is the end of the draw so you may now leave and Good Luck to all the teams.

Reaction: (Sir Alex) Benfica are a very good team and we've played them a few times over the past few years and most of the times the match was very tight. I still expect my lads to go out and beat them though
