Default West Ham 0-5 Man Utd

5 Star Perfomance

^Ronaldo scored 2 goals today to cap off a wonderful performance^

This win was all down to the form that the front 3 showed today. All 3 of them had an almost telepathic connection today. The flicks and little passes were a joy to watch because the receiver would know exactly when it was coming. This kind of play was too good for West Ham and they couldn't cope with it.

Man United started the match in very good form, and Rooney managed to hit the post with only 5 minutes gone in the match. Villa backheeled the ball into the path of Rooney, without even looking but Rooney's finish couldn't find the net and it went out for a goal kick off the post.

Two minutes later and Man United were ahead. Wayne Rooney chipped the ball over the West Ham defence for Villa to run onto. He used his pace to beat the defenders to the ball, volleyed it over Green and into the net.

Even though they were playing so well together as a team, the front three seemed to be trying and compete with each other at every chance. In the 21st minute, Rooney scored with a volley of his own. Evra sprinted down the wing past Behrami and crossed the ball over to the far post. Rooney set himself and then smashed the ball back across the face of goal and into the top corner.

Five minutes before half-time, Ronaldo got his name on the score sheet. After some quick exchange of passes up the field, Villa played a through ball right into the path of Ronaldo and he took one touch before curling the ball, with the outside of his foot, into the net.

Man United went into the dressing room at half-time much the happier team and the United fans would be hoping to see that kind of play when the players came out for the second half. West Ham did trouble the United keeper a couple of times but they couldn't find the net because of the big Dutchman in goal.

Ten minutes into the second half, Ronaldo doubled his tally for the day. He got the ball off Villa on the right wing before cutting in to have a shot on goal. He dribbled up to the edge of the box then smashed the ball with his right peg past Robert Green and into the back of the net.

David Villa made it 5-0 in the 76th minute. Giggs dribbled into the box and had a pop at goal, he ball came back to him but it he hit the bar this time, it fell to David Villa though and he tapped the ball into the net from 4 yards.

West Ham managed not to concede anymore goals and the match finished 5-0 to United.

Default Man Utd 3-0 Fulham

Championes, Championes!!

Man United were crowned Premier League Champions today for the 15th time. Even though Aston Villa beat Bolton earlier in the day, United managed to beat Fulham to secure top spot in the league for themselves. The league always looked like going to Man United it was only a matter of when would they seal it.

United started very brightly and were nearly ahead inside the first five minutes. Rooney broke clear of the Fulham defence but with only Mark Schwarzer to beat, he hit the post. They did go ahead in the 20th minute through Paul Scholes. Ronaldo went past his marker and swung the ball into the box. Paul Scholes then managed to flick the ball into the bottom corner with the back of his head.

Berbatov got his name on the score sheet just before half-time. The ball was crossed into the box and it was headed clear but only to Scholes, he volleyed the ball only to see it saved by the keeper fortunatley for United, Berbatov was there to tap the ball into the net and put United 2-0 up.

Rooney sent the party into full swing 3 minutes later as he netted his 39th of the season. Ronaldo, who was having it all to easy on the wing, crossed the ball into the box and Rooney rose above his marker to head the ball beyond Schwarzer. "We've won it 15 times" and "Championes, Championes" were being sung all around Old Trafford as they knew that they were going to win the league for the 6th time in a row.

In the second half, Man United started to ease off Fulham and started to pass it around the midfield, showing off for their fans. Berbatov nearly doubled his tally for the day later on in the half with a spectaclular bicycle kick but Schwarzer got hands to it and pushed it out for a corner. With only 5 minutes to go, Sir Alex brought off Scholes, Giggs and Ronaldo for Hargreaves, Park and Nani to give them a well deserved rest.

Man United held on to win 3-0 and the league. We caught up with Ryan Giggs, captain for the day, after the match. He had this to say about the win “I’m delighted to get another winner’s medal. Even though I have won so many, each of them are as important as the other. I have won the league alot of times but I've never won the league this early in the league and I believe that it is a record time in England. This is some players’ first trophy and hopefully they can win a lot more with United. There are some good, young players at this club and I think that they have the quality to keep winning the league and make sure the trophy stays at Old Trafford. I have a couple more years in me and hopefully I can experience days like these a couple more times in my Career. Our next target is to win the Champions league for a 5th time and that is a very realistic target for us. That is also a very big objective because it will mean that we equal Liverpool's record”

Default Wisla Krakow 0-3 Man Utd

Amos - ing

^Giggs celebrates after scoring in the 45th minute^

Man United have progessed to the 1/4 final of the Champions League after a 3-0 win over Wisla Krakow and a 9-0 win on aggregate. Man United could have easily lost the match if they hadn't got Ben Amos in goal. He was terrific for the whole match pulling off some magnificent saves.

Man United went down to 10 men in the 24th minute when Jonny Evans slid in from behind a Wisla Krakow striker in the box. The referee pointed straight to the spot and gave Evans the red card. Amos saved Evans from the embarrasment as he dived into the bottom corner and saved the penalty.

Ryan Giggs gave Man United the lead on the stroke of half-time. Rossi used his pace to speed away from his marker. He then tried to go round the keeper but the keeper saved it, a defender then kicked the ball off Rossi and it fell to Giggs for him to poke it into an empty net.

Nani and Rossi extended the lead in the second half for United. Nani scored in the 64th minute when he smashed the ball into the net at the near post. Rossi scored 2 minutes from time when United broke quickly after a Wisla corner.

Even though United scored 3 goals today it was the performance from the defenders that won the match for United. Amos made tons of fingertip saves and capped it off with a penalty save in the 24th minute. O'Shea, Pique and Evans all made last ditch tackles to keep out the Wisla strikers.
