That's a solid result, you should be able to roll Boro' in the final though. If you send me info of previous rounds etc, I could start on a preview for it.

Seeing as this thread is on page five, I figured I'd get it back on the first page with my new graphic:

Also next game is against Everton, Predictions?

Thanks, I think I may need to fix the edges of it though.

Yeah, I have PS2 so I can't play it, but I think building a team in MM would be just as enjoyable as UT.

Default Everton 0-5 Man Utd

The Fantastic 5

^Rooney reels away to celebrate after putting United 3-0 up^

Man United have now extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to 19 because while the rest of the "Big Four" lost their matches in the league, Man United produced one of their most convincing performances of the campaign with a 5-0 win over Everton. In recent years, Man United have struggled against Everton and were even knocked out of the Carling Cup last year because of them but today Everton were blown off the park by United's quick passing and lightning break aways.

Man United started very brightly and had worked the keeper atleast 5 times in the first 10 minutes. Rooney looked to be on top form today and was cutting through the Everton defence at ease and it was his shot that led to Berbatov's first goal. Rooney sprinted into the box past the defenders and was one-on-one with Kuszczak, he managed to save the shot but the ball fell at the feet of Berbatov and he tapped the ball in to give Man United the lead after 16 minutes.

Man United continued to put the Everton goal under pressure throughout the whole first half but they just couldn't manage to extend their lead. The players went into the dressing rooms at half time with mixed emotions, they would be glad to be in the lead but sad not to have extended their early lead.

Everton just couldn't get a foothold in the game and before they knew the second half had even started they were condeding another goal. This time it was Anderson that got the goal. It was the Brazilian play maker's 6th goal of the season. Ronaldo crossed the ball deep into the box for the forwards but the ball was cleared. The ball came out to Anderson though and he controlled the ball on his chest before volleying the ball into the net.

10 minutes later, and things went from bad to worse for Everton. The ball was cleared away from a corner, only for it to be pumped back into the box an Everton defender tried to head the ball back to Zuszczak but he didn't know that Rooney was still in the 6 yard box from the corner, he got to the ball before the keeper and volleyed it past him.

Only 4 minutes had passed since Rooney scored first and he was now doubling his tally for the day. Carrick intercepted the ball in midfield and played the ball to Rooney. He dribbled his way up to the edge of the box and drove the ball along the ground into the bottom corner.

Since Man United had such a comfortable lead, he started to take the big guns off. He took Ronaldo off with 68 minutes gone and put Rafael on the right wing instead of him. Everton pushed forward in the final minutes to grab a late consolation goal but they left no one back to defend. So when the corner came in Carrick rose above the Everton players and headed the ball to Rafael. He passed the ball onto Berbatov and went on a long overlap on the inside. Berbatov continued his run before sliding the ball over to Rafael and he poked the ball into the net for his first goal of the season.

In other news, Man United have left Rodrigo Possebon go out on loan until the end of the season at Empoli in Italy.

Another brilliant result Shorty, but I fail to see how Vidic was the best player in a 5-0 win
