1st Half

1' - Rooney and Tevez are in the centre circle and will get us under way now from left to right

2' -Tevez plays a through ball over the top to Giggs and he trys to cross it into the box but it is blocked and it goes out for a corner

4' - The corner leads to nothing but Anderson gets the ball again and his cross his blocked for another corner

6' - Green comes to get the ball but flaps at it!! Rooney tries to head it back to a United player but Davenport clears

12' - Ronaldo cuts in from the wing and tries a shot but it's deflected and bounches nicely into Green's arms

25' - Faubert gets the ball on the wing and hits a long shot but it is straight at Van Der Sar

28' - Goal!! Tevez has the ball on the wing chips the ball into the middle for Rooney and he bicycle-kicks it into the bottom corner. MU 1-0 WHU

39' - Goal!! Etherington gets the ball on the wing and dribbles down into the corner. He then turns, crosses it, Cole jumps above Rafael and the ball loops into the top corner. MU 1-1 WHU

45' - Carlton Cole has the ball at his feet and dribbles into the box. Vidic makes a last ditch tackel but the ball still keeps on rolling towards the goal but Van Der Sar just gets back and grabs it.

Half Time

46' - West Ham get's the second half underway with Man United going from Right to left

51' - Tevez chips the ball over the top for Rooney to run onto and he's one-on-one with the keeper. Green goes down well and saves the shot, Corner Man Utd!!

55' - Van Der Sar has to make two saves to deny Ashton and Ethrington.

58' - Goal!! Man Utd quickly break but lose the ball to Davenport, he gets tackled by Rooney though and he chips Green. MU 2-1 WHU

59' - Boywer and Mullins come on for Faubert and Noble

66' - Rooney has the ball on the edge of the box and has a snapshot and Green saves it suprebly

84' - Illunga has just come on for Matthew Upson

90 + 3' - It's over Man United are through to the Semi's. It has finished here MU 2-1 WHU

After Sir Alex named his starting XI for this match there was no doubt in anyones mind that Man United were really looking to win this. He named the complete starting XI and he didn't regret it after the match because Gremio played the best football that they could.

Gremio started the match well. They pressurised United and were having a few chances to score. This payed off in the 12th minute when Gremio took a deserved lead. Perea got the ball and ran at the United defence. He got past Rio Ferdinand and was one-on-one with Van Der Sar, Evra was running beside him though and just when it looked like Evra would get the ball Perea faked a shot, leaving Evra on the ground. He them smacked the ball into the top corner giving Edwin Van Der Sar no chance at all of saving the shot.

United were woken up by the goal and slowly started to come into the game. In the 24th minute, Ronaldo equalised for Man United. He had been leading most of the attacks for United so far and now he had got his goal. He had the ball on the wing, dribbled towards the corner before cutting into the box, he smashed his shot off the bar but the ball just bounced over the line then back out again.

This goal gave Man United the confidence that they could go on and get the goal that would put them ahead, but the Gremio defence held firm and the teams went into half-time 1-1. The second half started the same way as the first ended with United pushing on to get the winner but Gremio were still frustrating them.

United fans were very relieved in the 79th minute when they finally got their goal. Ronaldo cut in from the wing as he had done so, so many times in this match and unleased a blistering shot, it was saved by the keeper but it fell to Berbatov at the back post and he nodded it in.

United brought Giggs and Scholes off for Park and Anderson after the goal and they started to play more confidently and got through on goal more time but couldn't extend thier lead and it finished 2-1 to United and they go through to play QLD Roar

Man Utd made a few changes coming into this match excepting QLD Roar to be an easier match than Gremio in the quaters. Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs, who are finding it hard to play two matches in one week, were replaced by Anderson and Nani who are in very good form at the moment and would be looking to impress the manager and trying to get into the team more often this season.

Both teams started brightly but not many chances were being made from both sides. There was a couple of long shots from both teams but nothing clear cut. It toolalalalail the 34th minute of the match for the first goal. Anderson got the ball in mid-field and dribbled towards the goal. He got past one defender before smashing the ball with his left foot into the bottom corner of the goal.

Man United nearly added to their lead 3 minutes later when Berbatov hit the post. He got the ball on the edge of the box and tried to curl the ball into the net with outside of his foot but it just caught the post and went out.

There was a bit of controvesy towards the end of the first half when Vidic got sent off. He had tackled the player and had got the ball but the referee said he had come from behind and was sent off. This was the second time that Vidic had been sent off in the FIFA World Club Cup Championship.

Man United went into half-time 1-0 up but would be feeling slightly sadened by the loss of Nemanja Vidic just before half-time. They were going out for the second half knowing that if they put on another performance like that then they would be going through to the final.

It was only 4 minutes into the second half and Man United were 2-0 up and cruising. United had a corner but the keeper managed to come and collect. He then through the ball out to one of his defenders but Nani nipped the ball away from him and slotted it into the bottom corner like a centre forward.

Man United took Nani and Berbatov off in the 70th minute for Park and Welbeck. The match had been 10 times more comfortable for United than the match against Gremio. They nearly grabbed another 6 minutes from time. Anderson latched on to a lobbed through ball but his volley came back into play off the post. The game finished 2-0 and Man United advance to play Pachuca in the Final.

Pachuca V Man Utd LIVE!!

Hello, I'm Richard Keys from Sky Sports just a couple of minutes before kick-off in the FIFA World Club Cup Championship between Pachuca and Man Utd. Here's a couple of interesting facts about the tournament so far. Pachuca have not conceded a single goal during the competition, The chosen home team have always lost and not a single player has scored 2 goals there is 9 on 1. We will just have a quick look at both teams before crossing over to Andy Gray and Martin Tyler.

60' - After a good passing move from Pachuca, Van Der Sar is forced to make a good save to keep his side level

67' - Both sides are making substitutions here. Torres and Cardenas are off and Caballero and Perez are on for Pachuca. Paul Scholes is brought on and Anderson departs for Man United

77' - Goal!! Man United have finally broken the deadlock and it's the substitute Paul Scholes! Rooney had the ball on the wing and played it across the box for Paul Scholes to smash into the bottom corner

87' - The ball is crossed into Man United's box and Alvarez volleys it!! But it just goes wide of the goal

87' - Pachuca make their final substitution and bring Gimenez off for Mendivil

90' - [] Ronaldo is too quick for Rodriguez and pokes the ball past him but Rodriguez brings him down. He gets his second yellow of the match and is sent off!!
