August
Man Utd started the season very well taking 9 points from a possible 12 and winning the Community shield. Man Utd won the FA Community Shield in a 6-1 trashing of Aston Villa last season's runner up in the league.Man Utd brought this good form into their first home match of the season against Sheffield Utd. They won that match 5-1. They then had 2 big games back to back, Arsenal and Chelsea. Man Utd beat Arsenal 3-0 but couldn't produce the goods against Chelsea and lost 2-1. They rounded off the month with a convincing 3-1 win at home against Blackburn Rovers.

September
Man Utd started September the same way as August scoring 6 goals in a match. They then had another good performance and won 5-1 against Bolton at the Reebok. Sir Alex played his reserves against Bournemouth in the Carling Cup 2nd round and it payed off as Man Utd won 2-1 at Old Trafford. Man Utd took maximum points in the League in September and finished off the month with a 3-0 win at home to QPR and a 4-0 win at Eastlands in the Manchester Derby. They also got their Champions League campaign off to a good start with a 3-2 at Home to Juventus but a dissappointing 0-0 draw with Rapid Wein.

October
They started off the month well again, which was becoming a habit for United, with a 4-0 win at Home against Wigan. United produced another very good performance against Middlesboro' away from home and won comfortably. They also eased past West Brom in the Carling Cup beating them 5-0. Man Utd won comfortably at home to Fulham but could only manage a 1-0 win at Upton Park against West Ham. Champions League qualification was hanging in the balance after a 2-2 with Anderlecht. Man Utd finished off the month with a 2-0 win at White Hart Lane against Tottenham

November
Man Utd scraped past Sheffield Utd in the Carling Cup 4th round with a nervy 1-0 win. Man Utd sucured Champions League qualification with their biggest win of the season so far, a 7-0 thumping of Anderlecht at home revenge for the draw in October. Man Utd then brought that form into a league match with Liverpool and trashed them 4-0. They scored 4 goals the next week aswell winning 4-0 away at Reading. Man Utd had another big win at home in November this time it was a 6-0 win against Crystal Palace. This was a fabulous month for Man Utd winning 5 matches out of 5, not conceding a single goal and scoring a total of 22 goals.

December
The month started well for United but ended up being the worst month of the season so far for United. They started the month with a convincing win against Rapid Wein. But then Man Utd came up against their bogey team, Everton. Man Utd were losing 3-0 in this match but nearly managed a draw but they could only pull back two goals in the last 10 mins. They bounced back well though winning 4-1 away from home to Juventus to secure top spot in the group. Man Utd only managed a 1-0 win at home to Portsmouth but then beat Aston Villa 4-2 the next week. Man Utd then knocked Arsenal out of the Carling Cup, in the Quater-Finals, 4-2. Arsenal got revenge though as they beat Man Utd 6-3 on Christmas Day.

Can Man Utd continue this good form and win the league for the 5th time in a row
For Last Pagers

@ Aguero Thanks

Default Man Utd 2-1 Bolton

He's Back With a Bang

^Rooney secured all 3 points with a 90' strike^

Man Utd went into to this match after just being knocked out of the Carling Cup 1/2 final by Everton and needing a confindence boost to get their title challenge back on track. Man Utd went in to this match without Ronaldo and Berbatov who were rested but welcomed back Wayne Rooney who had been out of action for 3 weeks with an injury.

Man Utd were given an early scare though, with only 7 minutes on the clock Davies was given room to shoot and his shot hit the post before being cleared off the line by Micheal Carrick. This was really the only chance Bolton had in the whole match.

With 22 minutes gone Tevez received the ball and turned his marker superbley to get one-on-one with the goalkeeper. He ran to the edge of the box and smashed the ball across the keeper into the far bottom corner for the opening goal.

Man Utd were clearly the best team in the first half but in the last minute Vidic slid in for a tackle but got only the man and he was given his second yellow of the match and United were down to 10 men. Sir Alex didn't take off one of his strikers instead he tucked Neville into centre-back and this worked a treat.

The second half was alot like the first with Man Utd pressing and pressing only to be denied by Al-Habsi. But in the 83' minute diaster struck the ball was played back to Van Der Sar but he messed up his kick and it fell to Davies who slotted it into an empty net. Just when it looked like Man Utd were going to drop more points. Tevez dribbled up to the edge of the box but he was tackled. It fell nicely for Rooney who absoutley leathered it into the bottom corner from 20 yards.

Can Man Utd take this result and build on it in their next match against QPR?

Default QPR 0-2 Man Utd

2 Goals, 2 Mins , 3 Points

^Berbatov Celebrates after scoring^

Man Utd welcomed back Dimitar Berbatov and Cristiano Ronaldo into the squad today and what a difference it made from last week where they had to scrap for the points. Today was a very different story as Man Utd dominated from start to finish not letting QPR get a sniff.

The match got off to worst possible start for QPR as they were a man down in side 10 mins, this really sealed the outcome of the match. Rooney turned Fitz Hall with ease but before he could shoot Rooney was chopped down from behind and Hall saw a straight red. QPR took off Blackstock and put on Ex Man Utd player Gareth Bale who was in for a very hard time indeed.

Man Utd took the lead in the 11' minute when Berbatov got one-on-one with Cerny. The keeper got a hand to the shot but it wasn't enough to stop the ball going into the back of the net. Man Utd were 2-0 up a minute later when Berbatov backheeled it to Rooney on the edge of the box and Rooney smashed it across the goal into the bottom corner of the net. It could have been 3-0 5 minutes later when Giggs ran onto a chipped through ball but couldn't put it in the net.

Agyemang nearly pulled a goal back for QPR in the 2nd half but his shot was tipped onto the bar by Van Der Sar. Man Utd could have scored in the 58' minute but for some fantastic saves by Cerny. Every one had a go but no-one could put it past the big Czech. It was Cerny again that denied Ronaldo a goal when Berbatov pulled it back to Ronaldo but Cerny somehow palmed his shot onto the post. The next match for United is a FA Cup match against Stoke.

Default Stoke 4-3 Man Utd

Man Utd Out!!

^ Rooney thought he had forced extra time^

Man Utd were knocked out of the cup by Stoke today through a Rory Delap strike in the 90' minute. Wayne Rooney was the only first team starter in the team today and that proved to be the downfall because Man Utd lacked quality, pace and creativety.

Stoke started very brightley. A shot was deflected and looped up onto the bar then came out to Fuller who's volley smashed off the Bar again before Rafael slid in and gave away a penalty. Ben Amos managed to save the penalty from Liam Lawrence. Man Utd did go behind in the 9' minute when the ball was bouncing around in the penalty box and Faye came in and volleyed it into the top of the net to put Stoke ahead. Tevez got inured and Man Utd were down to 10 men for a couple of minutes. While Tevez was off injured Stoke took advantage and scored again, this time it was Dave Kitson who smashed the ball in off the post from 20 yards.

Berbatov then came on for Tevez and he immeadtley(sp?) ran the pitch and scored. Just before half-time Man Utd managed to get level Rooney was tackled in the box and it trickled across the box to Berbatov and he slotted it into the bottom corner.

Early in the second half Stoke were down to 10 men when Leon Cort went in 2 footed on Rooney and got a straight red. Faye gave Stoke the lead again from a header. Just when it seemed Man Utd Rooney smashed the ball into the bottom corner of the goal to make it 3-3 in the 86' minute.

But just when it seemed the match was going into extra time Rory Delap popped up and struck the ball into the top corner to send United out. Can Stoke continue their good run and knock Chelsea out of the FA Cup aswell and can Man Utd beat City in the Manchester Derby?

Todays updates
