Default Liverpool 0-5 Man Utd

^Rooney celebrates after scoring the 3rd of the game^

Team Changes: Man United came into this match as favourites but they knew that it wouldn’t be easy. Man United were forced to bring young defender Jonny Evans into the team after Nemanja Vidic was sent wrongfully sent off last week against Aston Villa. Giggs went into the centre for this match with Sir Alex opting for speed on the wing. Nani came into the team on the left wing but Carrick had to make do with a place on the bench as Giggs moved into Centre-Midfield.

This match was expected to be a close contest but that was definitely not the case. The match started at a high tempo with both teams trying to get an early advantage. Liverpool looked good in the first few minutes but they just couldn’t get the final ball right and it made it a very easy day for United.

Man United were having all the chances and Reina was forced to make some very good saves to deny United. Man United did take the lead in the 32nd minute though Rooney took a shot and Reina saved it but the ball fell to Berbatov and he smashed it into the net. The remainder of the half was mainly contested in the middle of the pitch but Man United were still getting the better chances.

With just 11 minutes gone in the 2nd half, Man United extended their lead. The ball was crossed the ball into the box by Ryan Giggs and Berbatov headed it. The header hit the foot of the post though but Ronaldo came in and tapped the ball into an empty net. 6 minutes later, United were 3-0 up. Reina received the ball back from Carragher but Reina messed up his kick and the ball fell to Giggs. He played the ball into the path of Rooney and he slotted the ball past Reina.

United then brought on John O’Shea and Michael Carrick for Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs to give the more experienced players a rest. Man United grabbed another goal in the 80th minute. Rooney fizzed a ball across the box and it was going to go out but Reina decided to hit it and the ball went straight to Berbatov and he scored one the easiest goals of his life.

Things went from bad to worse a couple minutes later when Dossena brought down Rooney on the edge of the box and the referee gave a penalty. Ronaldo stepped up but missed. He made up for the miss in the 90th minute when Skrtel’s back pass was too short and Ronaldo poked it past Reina before he could get to it.

Man United have the other Liverpool team next week when they play Everton at Old Trafford.

Default Man Utd 1-0 Everton

^Rio Ferdinand won the match for United in the 89th minute^

Team Changes: Man United have struggled in recent times when coming up against Everton. They were the team that knocked Man United out of the cup last year in the semi-final of the Carling Cup. Man United brought Rafael into the team at Right-Back as United rested Gary Neville. Nemanja Vidic came back into the team after being suspended for the match against Liverpool. Nani and Evans had to settle for a place on the bench. Carrick came back into the first XI after starting on the bench against Liverpool. Giggs moved back out to the wing and was named captain as Neville was left out of the squad.

This match was a very good one but it was also very tense and tight. In the first half, Man United had most of the possession but just couldn’t find the back of the net. Ronaldo had a very good chance to give United the lead in the 21st minute when Rooney was brought down on the edge of the box. Everyone thought that it would be Giggs or Tevez since it was only 20 yards out and they thought it would be too close but he stepped up and smashed the ball across the goal. It was destined for the top corner but at the last moment Ex-United keeper Kuszczak.

Tim Cahill should have given Everton the lead just before half-time. He was one-on-one with the keeper and Van Der Sar was rushing out. He just had to lift it over the keeper and score but he dwelled on it too much and Van Der Sar was out quick enough to block the chip and Nemanja Vidic came in to clear. The two teams went into the break after a very boring first half with only 2 real chances but they were two good chances and in could have been 1-1 but it was 0-0.

The second half was much the same with the match being played mostly in the middle of the pitch and no team could take a hold of the game. It was the 87th minute and Man United were attacking. They thought that it would be the last chance to win it. Rooney had the ball and saw an unmarked Ronaldo busting a gut to get into the box. He played the ball right into his path and Ronaldo flicked it up and volleyed it towards the top corner but Kuszczak just tipped it over for a corner.

Man United brought on Berbatov for Tevez in the last minute to give them some height in the box. The defenders came up and the Man United players were desperate to win. Carrick curled the ball in towards the back post. Ferdinand met it firmly with his head and it went into the back of the net and sent the United fans crazy. They held on for the last few minutes and kept their 100% record going. United have LeicesterCity away in the Carling Cup next.

Default Leicester 2-5 Man Utd

^Nani celebrating after scoring the 5th goal of the match ^

Team Changes: Man United came into this match with a much changed side from the one that played against Everton. Rafael and Fabio started at Right and Left-Back respectively with Neville and Evra not even in the squad. Jonny Evans and Gerard Pique were the centre-backs and Tevez started upfront with Danny Welbeck. Nani replaced Ronaldo and Park came into the team for Giggs. Anderson was partnered in the centre by Owen Hargreaves. Tevez and Rafael were the only players to start this match and the Everton match. Owen Hargreaves was named as captain for the first time in a United shirt.

Man United got off to a really good start with United going 1-0 up with only 5 minutes gone. Tevez was one-on-one with the keeper and just slid it into the far corner giving the keeper no chance. United were 2-0 up 5 minutes later. Tevez again got down the wing and was one-on-one but this time he cut the ball back for Anderson and from 24 yards he hit the ball into an empty net.

In the 18th minute, United were 3-0 up Tevez got the ball on the edge of the box and smashed the ball into the bottom right corner. Tevez had been running the show for the whole 20 minutes so far. Man United dominated the rest of the half but just couldn’t extend their lead. United went into half-time 3-0 up and had a comfortable lead.

The captain, Owen Hargreaves got his goal in the 52nd minute when the controlled the ball on the edge of the box then turned and fired a shot low into the corner. Nani put United 5-0 up in the 62nd minute. The ball was crossed into the box for Anderson but his volley was saved. The ball fell to Nani even though it was a very tight angle and there was a man on the line, Nani managed to smash the ball into the roof of the net.

Man United then brought on Darren Fletcher and Wes Brown for Anderson and Rafael for the last 15 minutes. LeicesterCity managed to pull two goals back in the last minute when Wes Brown headed the ball down for Fryatt then Howard and the match finished 5-2 to United

I'm gonna let you pick the team against Charlton so tell me a player that you want to put into the team and I'll put him in.
