![]() Harvey impressed with Glory players ![]() Bolton chief scout Colin Harvey is impressed with the skills that the Perth Glory players shown against Bolton at the 1-1 draw at Perth. "They certainly impressed me with their skills and their teamwork." Harvey said. "To be honest, I am surprise Bolton had to come from behind to get a draw but this shows how the margin between a Premier League club like us and an Australian side like Glory is not very wide." When asked about which players impressed him the most, Harvey said that Tando Velaphi and Nikita Rukavytsya are the ones that caught his eye during the match. "Their goalkeeper certainly saved a lot of goal-bound shots from us and he is still young so I am confident that he can only get better. The lad who scored for their team is very fast and he knows where to be to receive his teammates' passes and to score goals." When asked whether he will offer a loan to those 2 players, he said that "It all depends whether Gary Megson wants them". When asked whether he has other transfer targets, Harvey did not give an answer because he does not have "enough information to provide an answer". However, he has stated that he is looking forward to listening to the fans and hearing their suggestions. "We are doing this for the fans, aren't we? So let them speak and let them suggest some of our transfer targets. I don't see any point in getting someone who the fans don't like." |

![]() Yeah that is true, I doubt anyone would know Perth Glory besides Australians xD However, I am also going to bring in some players that are well known as well to make it balanced. |

![]() Megson urges Striker Struggles to end ![]() Bolton coach Gary Megson urges strikers to end their scoring drought and start scoring goals. Megson said this after the strikers fail to score in the 3 games this season and a 0 shot attempt first half against Manchester City. The 2 goals from Bolton this season are from midfielders Gavin McCann and Ricardo Gardner. "It's really disappointing when our goal to game ratio fails to reach 1." Megson said. "The strikers' job are to score goals, simple as that. When they don't, it means they are not doing their job." Currently the strikers that are in the Bolton starting line-up are Kevin Davies and £8m signing Johan Elmander, but Megson warn that it could change. "Ricardo (Vaz Te) and Ebi Smolarek are both working very hard and I am not ruling out the possibility that they could start in place of the strikers we have currently next match." He also hints that they will buy a new striker and a defensive midfielder in the upcoming January transfer window. "Maybe the lads need a bit of competition and if someone who has a good Premier League goal record is on sale at the transfer window then maybe we can consider him. If we are to continue our current formation with 2 defensive midfielders, we also need to buy a defensive midfielder in case Fabrice (Muamba) or Gavin McCann gets tired or injured. However, if Joey O'Brien and Jlloyd Samuel continues to work hard and shows potential to be a defensive midfielder then we might just use what we have instead. " He has also confirmed that several young players will be going out on loan soon. "I have had several teams contacting me to get some of young players on loan and I have accepted some of their offers and said 'no' to some. It all depends on whether I need the player currently. They are all part of my future plans." Bolton faces Middlesbrough at home next week. |

You took my advice, and added extra updates, rather than just matches. Not only did you take my advice, you made some damn good updates. Awesome victory against Boro, I hope you keep this up

![]() Megson delighted with Strikers ![]() Elmander - Benched in favor of Ebi Smolarek Bolton manager Gary Megson is delighted that his strikers have ended their scoring drought. After urging the strikers to end their scoring drought, Megson put Ebi Smolarek, who is on loan from Racing de Santander in the starting line-up and replacing £8m signing Johan Elmander. Smolarek responded to the change by scoring 2 goals while Kevin Davies, the other striker in the starting line-up, was the provider for all 3 goals in the 3-0 win over Middlesbrough. "I am delighted that Ebi responded to being in the starting line-up by scoring 2 goals while Kevin (Davies) put in some nice passes for Ebi so he deserves some credit for the goals as well." Megson said. When asked about Elmander's future, Megson stated that Elmander is still definitely in his future plans. "The lad needs time to adjust, that's all. There is a lot of pressure on his shoulders as well, so I am just easing some of it by putting him on the bench. He is still definitely in my future plans and I hope when I call on him from the bench he can score and regain some of his confidence." Bolton travels to face Stoke next week.
