Everton | Evertonian Revolt | ![]() About the Club Everton Football club has been playing in the top flight of English Football longer than any other team. They are located in Liverpool and were founded in 1878 as St. Domingo F.C. Liverpool, their rivals were founded 14 years after Everton and shared a ground known as Anfield. Everton have had many recent successes after qualifing for the UEFA Cup and Champions League. Everton will be looking to cause distress to the top 4 this season The Gaffer David Moyes has been manager of Everton since he was appointed the job after Walter Smith was sacked. Moyes had a superb first season in charge almost clinching a UEFA Cup spot, unfortunately, Blackburn got their first. Moyes was wondering what he had done wrong as Everton slumped to 17th and were favourties to be relegated next season. However in the 2004-2005 season, Everton weren't relegated but found themselves above Liverpool in 4th. Since then Everton's target has always been Europe. David Moyes will be looking to repeat the Season of 2004-2005. The Ground Anfield was the home of Everton until 1892 where Liverpool got full rights. Everton moved into Goodison Park, which is still their Home Ground today. Ever since Anfield was given to Liverpool, the rivalry has developed into one of the greatest derbies of all, The Merseyside Derby. Goodison Park has staged more top flight games that any other stadium in Britain. It also hosted the 1966 World Cup Semi-Final. The capacity of just over 40,000 is the 9th biggest stadium in the Premier League, however it is well above 9th best. The Squad Goalkeepers - Rating - Age 1. Carlo Nash - 69 - 34 12. Lassana Diarra - Where should I go? ![]() Real Madrid Juande Ramos is looking for a new Midfielder and Diarra seems intreaged by the boss, the club and the pay-check Manchester City Mark Hughes has been a fan of Diarra since he was at Chelsea and tried to sign him when Hughes was at Blackburn. City have the money and they have the talent. Diarra could be on his way Tottenham Hotspur Harry Redkanpp signed the French International from Arsenal two years ago. Now Redknapp is at Spurs, Diarra may join his ex-manager again. Arsenal Arsene Wenger is looking to re-sign the Frenchman. Wenger has spoken to the press and has revealed that Arsenal could pay 15 million for him Everton David Moyes could be interessted in signing a defencive midfielder to go alongside Fellaini in the Everton midfield, Moyes has said that if Diarra did come, he would be an istant hero Portsmouth
Or Lassana Diarra can stay where he is, at Portsmouth. This looks doubtfull as Portsmouth are holding talks with several clubs this week about Diarra

Last Minute Drama ![]() Tim Cahill scored in Added-Time to give Everton all 3 points. It could have been more if Everton hadn't have hit the woodwork three times, and Mikel Arteta's penalty which was saved by Sorensen. The games started with good attacking football from Stoke and could have been a goal if Kitson had hit it better. A long Rory Delap through almost proved costly as Howard tipped over a Higginbottom header. Pienaar broke through after a superb ball over the top from Fellaini, however the South African Internation could only hit the post. Yakubu could have sent Everton into half-time with a lead after he took it round the keeper, but his shot ended up the worng side of the post. Everton were pushing hard and were rewarded with a corner after Jack Rodwell's shot was tipped over by Sorensen. The inswinging corner from Arteta landed straight on the head of Joleon Lescott, whos header hit the bar. Louis Saha and Leon Osman came on for Piennar and Yakuba and Osman's first touch of the ball resulted in a penalty as he got the ball, took it down the wing and was fouled by Leon Cort. Mikel Arteta stepped up and hit the bar from his penalty, the ball bounced back into play and stoke cleared it to safety. 3 added minutes were on the board, when Tim Cahill recieved the ball 20 yards out and hit it through a maul of players, somehow it found its way into the back of the net. Goals = T.Cahill 90'
Man of the Match = Marouane Fellaini

Moyes first signing ![]() At the Press Confrence Today, David Moyes revealed that Everton have just spent £4 million on Henrique from Bordeaux on a two year deal. Moyes said this of the centre-back, "I think he is an amazing talent and will feature massivly in the season ahead. I hope the Everton fans realise what a great signing this really is". The Brazilian Centre-Back will be starting this weekend for Everton when they play Aston Villa at Home. He had this to say "I have always dreamed of playing for Arsenal or Manchester United, but playing for Everton against them is just as good, this is a fresh start for me".
