Everton capture 3 points in Great Game

Yakubu's strike won the game for Everton after an eventfull 90 minutes, both managers said how impressed they were with their teams performance, but Everton came out on top. Straight from kick-offf, Robin Van Persie and Emmanuel Adebayor linked up and they found a way through the Everton defence after superb 'pass and move' play, Van Persie was played through by Cesc Fabregas, the Dutchman passed it into the net and Marco Amelia couldn't believe Everton's start, however, it wasn't as bad as it seemed as Everton won a corner soon after the Dutchman's early strike, and from the corner, a flick on by Tim Cahill saw the ball fall to Marouane Fellaini, who was marked by Gael Clichy. Clichy looked as if he had got there first, but the Belgium did beat the frenchman to the ball and it was 1-1. Superb saves by Manuel Almunia and Marco Amelia saw the game stay at 1-1 until late in the half. Arsenal won a corner, where Adebayor headed just over and a few minutes later, Emmanuel Eboue missed an open goal after superb play by Samir Nasri.
Everton went into half time with the lead however, when Mikel Arteta's cross went over to Yakubu who looked to have miscued the header, however it was a well-timed pass to Steven Pienaar who tapped it in, Manuel Alminuia looked bewildered. At half-time David Moyes was pleased with his team after his team had turned the game on its head. The second half was even more eventfull as Everton started to play attractive football and Phil Neville almost scored after he broke into the box, however Almunia had it covered. Arsenal did get an equaliser however and it was Robin Van Persie again. There was no need for it either, Joleon Lescott passed the ball across his goal to Phil Jagielka who tried to take it round the Dutch striker, however he tackled Everton's defender and rolled it past Marco Amelia. However, the Italian keeper got his revenge on the Arsenal striker, when Van Persie broke free, The ex-Palermo keeper was waiting for him and cleared it upfield. Van Persie fell over and claimed for a free-kick, the ref wasn't interessted. The match winner came with 22 minutes to go and it was Yakubu. It came from a Marouane Fellaini's skill to get past Barcay Sagna and when the Belgian crossed for Tim Cahill, Cahill was beaten to the ball by Kolo Toure, however the header fell into the path of Yakubu and his blistering shot from 14 yards went into the top corner. Everton played passing football and 'keep ball' football until the final whistle, there was one scare for Everton when Manuel Almunia came up for a corner, the spaniard leaped for the ball, but missed it, however Van Persie didn't and his shot from 5 yards was tipped onto the bar by Amelia and cleared by Marouane Fellaini.

Goals: Marouane Fellaini 8', Steven Pienaar 42', Yakubu 68'; Robin Van Persie 4' and 54'
Man of the Match: Robin Van Persie

Next Match is Tommorrow. It will be a Liverpool Live Game at around Midday.

Everton Team News
Jack Rodwell and Danny Gosling start
Phil Neville (knee) and Leon Osman (hamstring) both miss Derby game
Steven Pienaar starts on the left
Tim Howard returns in Goal despite Marco Amelia's superb saves against Arsenal
Yakubu keeps his place after scoring winner against Arsenal

Liverpool Team News
Ryan Babel (hamstring) misses derby day
Javier Macherano prefered to Xabi Alonso
Dirk Kuyt starts on the right-wing to allow Robbie Keane to start his first derby game
Fabio Aurellio drops to bench after late fitness test. Andrea Dossena starts at left-back
Daniel Agger starts ahead of Sami Hyypia

Everton Line-Up
Howard
Gosling -- Jagielka -- Yobo -- Lescott
Rodwell -- Fellaini
Mikel Arteta ---- Cahill ---- Pienaar
Yakubu

Key Clashes
Steven Gerrard & Javier Macherano v Marouane Fellaini & Jack Rodwell
The Liverpool skipper is Liverpool's key player and will look to keep Fellaini out of the game as much as possible, If the Belgian Internation does get through, Macherano will be covering the Liverpool back 4 so Everton should find it hard to get beyond the Liverpool defence. Jack Rodwell was superb last game and will find this game a challenge

Prediction
Liverpool 1 - 2 Everton

Match Predictions
AnuragCR7 = Liverpool 1 - 2 Everton
Hales = Liverpool 3 - 1 Everton
