Portsmouth unveil Winger

Tony Adams stood next to newest signing, former Blackburn winger Morten Gamst Pederson. Pederson signed on a two year deal, in a deal worth 4 million. Both clubs and the player are happy with the deal.

Pederson will play on the left said Adams. Before joining Portsmouth he played for Tromse before joining Blackburn. He was signed by Portsmouth for 1.5 million. While sitting next to each other at a press conference this is what they said

" Its great to get Pederson at the club, he is a fantastic player and will fit well into our team.

Pederson speaks

" Its always a good feeling to sign for a big club. This club is big and they proved that by winning the F.A Cup last year. No disrespect to Blackburn but this was my chance to sign for a bigger club. I have deep respect for the club and its fans.

Pederson made the left wing his own after playing amazingly well in Blackburn colours. He has made great strides in his international career by earning 42 capps. His right foot is his natural kicking foot but his coach at the youth teams always trained him to use his left foot.

His favourite player is Marco Van Basten, in 2006 he scored a goal against Hungary which was somewhat like Van Bastens goal at the 1988 Euros. He was nickname Gamsten by major newspapers.

Match 1: Cardiff City (Home)

Match 2: Real Murcia (Home)

Match 3: AS Roma (Away)

Cardiff will give the F.A Cup winners some compition against a good side.

Real Murcia seems as though they are easy compition but they have the players to cause a shock.

AS Roma will be the hardest of all the fixtures. Not only is it against one of the best teams in Italy but the match is in Italy

Portsmouth players in bar brawl

Portsmouth new player Morten Gamst Pederson was taking a night out with two other portsmouth players. These players were Glen Johnson and Peter Crouch. These players were in the "east side bar" when the fight broke out. According to witness's a gang of four people were jeering and shouting at the Pompey players.

Police were called out to the scene. The police said no major damage was done to the bar. A eye witness report said this

" I was sitting across from the Portsmouth players. They were sitting talking, when this gang of 4 men starting shouting and jeering towards them. Eventually one of the men went over to them. I could hear what he was saying but I don't want to repeat it. The man started saying racist things to Glen Johnson. Pederson stood up and punched the man in the face. Then the rest of the gang came running over. Glen Johnson looked as though he had punched of one of the guys face. Once the police were called the men ran away except one, he was probably still feeling the effects of the punch by Johnson. It looked as though the Portsmouth players won that fight."

All of the Portsmouth player's were released and we got a word with Crouch and Pederson.

Crouch said: " We were sitting quitely having a few drinks then they came over started annoying us then a fight broke out.

Pederson said: " I have made friends with almost all the portsmouth squad. So, when they started chanting racist remarks to Glen I lost it and hit one of them.

All the men were caught and are in custody.

Portsmouth player sold

Portsmouth have sold Croatian Niko Kranchar to Bolton Wanderers in a deal worth 5.2 million. We got the news this morning, this means Portsmouth have sold on of there best players to Bolton. We can reveal he signed on a 4 year deal

We are told that it was the club that sold him and he did not want to leave the club. We had a chat with him later on in the day.

Kranjcar said
" I was suffocated at the club, I didn't feel i was wanted so i thats why i accepted the offer."

We have reason to believe other clubs than Bolton wanted his services, these clubs were Fulham, Sunderland, Real Zaragoza and Espanyol.
Now that Kranjcar has left the club, we think Portsmouth will buy anither player to fill the gap.

Some newspapers are even saying Morten Gamst Pederson caused him to leave.
