A week before the new season starts, Sunderland have put in bids for 2 players that Roy Keane thinks will make his side stronger and will add depth to the squad.

Matthew Upson
The West Ham centre back has been on Roy Keane's wishlist for some time now and the Englishman has been told he can leave for the right amount of money. Sunderland have offered £4,300,000 for him and the player has said he would enjoy playing beside Anton Ferdinand again.

Eric Djemba-Djemba
The Ex Manchester United and Aston Villa Midfielder has impressed Roy Keane in recent performances for Odense Ballklub. Sunderland have offered £900,000 for his services and many would love to see the 27-year-old back in England.
