LIVERPOOL F.C. - NEWS
Changes Imminent At Liverpool F.C. 30/05/2008 ![]() (Is time running out for Rafael Benitez at Liverpool?) Sky Sports Reports - It is rumoured that owners of English football giant's Liverpool F.C. - Tim Hicks and George Gillett will be in negotiations with a new face as first team manager at the club. The duo have been reported to have "fallen out" with current manager Rafael Benitez who joined the Reds back in early 2004 season. The co-owners have not revealed any names thus far as to who the new manager of the club will be and refused to comment of the dire situation surrounding the ex-Valencia C.F. manager's future in the 2008 - 09 season. Sky Sports correspondant's were lucky enough to catch up with Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez for a chat before heading to a meeting with the owners of the Club. "The situation is not swinging in my favour at present. It [the falling out with current owners] was not a pretty sight, and I for one am not at liberty to give details at this very moment. What i can say is, should my time at Liverpool F.C. come to an end then it is definately for the best interests of the club" Benitez stated direly. Sky Sports asked him if he has had any offers from any major clubs currently. "I have had offers from both Juventus in Italy and Manchester City, but have not accepted any such offer as of yet. Liverpool is still my home, and hopefully will be during the 08-09 seasons" said the 48-year-old. Changes are definately imminent in the heirarchy of Liverpool F.C's management team. Stay posted for more information on this situation. - Chris Teer (Sky Sports) ____________________ Out with the old, in with the new. 01/06/2008 ![]() (Benitez's last press conference as Liverpool F.C. manager.) Sky Sports Reports - Liverpool F.C. owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett have met with now ex-manager Rafael Benitez to relieve him of his first team duties, stating that "his expertise are not appropriate for the direction the club is venturing towards". Rafael Benitez has revealed in a press conference earlier this afternoon that the "bad blood" between management and owners was a result of disagreements in the way new funds should be spent in both transfers and upgrades. "The owners and I had been discussing the need for extra revenue to spend on new upgrades as well as players coming to join this exceptional club. This lead to several disagreements that have obviously not been resolved and has resulted in my departure from the club effective immediately." "I have enjoyed my time at the club, and being manager of some of the greatest players in the world - the likes of Torres, Gerrard, Kewell. It is not everyday you come across an opportunity to manage one of the best teams in the world and I am estatic that I have been able to experience such a feat. I wish Liverpool the best of luck under their new coach." Benitez, who joined the Reds in 2004 experienced several successes as the manager including UEFA Chmpions League win over AC Milan in 2004-05 season, an FA Cup title in 2006 as well as an FA Community Shield in the same year. During his four years at the club, he was unable to secure a title win - possibly another reason for his departure? - Chris Teer (Sky Sports) ____________________ The Reds unveil new blood stream - Brazilian. 01/06/2008 ![]() (George Gillett (left) and Tom Hicks (right) ready to unveil new manager.) Sky Sports Reports - Only hours after relinquishing Rafael Benitez of his role as manager at the club, Liverpool F.C. owners (pictured above) have recently announced the new manager of its first team - Cristian Ramirez. "He brings a wealth of experience to the club, and has a very different approach to that of Benitez. We believe he is the perfect candidate for the job and will push the club towards the direction we as the owners have been aiming for. Whilst not wanting to jump the gun, we are sure he will be able to bring both domestic and European glory to the club. Our full support is behind him!" stated Tom Hicks earlier this evening. Christian Ramirez, born in Brazil has experienced lengthy stints at clubs such as Sao Paulo and Lazio. The 26-year-old was successful at both clubs before signing a new 5 year deal with the Reds. Lets hope he can produce similar results for the Merseyside giants. - Chris Teer (Sky Sports) Last edited by crixxaii; 11-11-2008 at 12:04 PM.. |

Transfer Speculation:
Cristian Ramirez "opens the window". Three big names rumoured for a move to the Red's. 01/08/2008 ![]() Name: Ever Maximiliano David Banega Nationality: Argentinian Position: Central Midfield Current Club: Atletico Madrid (loan) ![]() Name: Dani Alves Nationality: Brazilian Position: Right Back Current Club: Barcelona FC ![]() Name: David Silva Nationality: Spain Position: Central Attacking Midfield/Left Wing Current Club: Valencia C.F. Cristian Ramirez has begun his dramatic entrance into English football with speculations that three big-name signings will be made in the August transfer season prior to the 2008-09 Premier League's season. Ever Banega of Atletico Madrid, Dani Alves of Barcelona F.C. and David Silva of Valencia C.F. have all been rumoured to be in negotiations with the Merseyside giants. Cristian Ramirez has acknowledged that these players are in his interests and that he will be attempting to sign these players in the transfer season. "Banega is an excellent young player, who will add that extra bit of attack to the midfield and who can deliver the two front men with that extra bit of speed and agility." It is unsure who Banega will be replacing - possibly Alonso or Mascherano in an attempt to adopt a more attacking formation. "Dani Alves will give us excellent support in our already strong backline. He is a player who is not afraid to push forward and help out along the wings whenever there is an opportunity. He will be an excellent addition!" Without jumping the gun, it seems clear that Arbeloa will be the likely man to be sidelined for the Brazilian international. "Lastly, David Silva is an excellent winger and can also play in the central attacking midfield if the option arises. He has exceptional speed and is a suburb crosser of the ball." It is also unclear as to who the Valencia player will replace in the first team. Stay tuned for more transfer speculations, as well as the actual signings by Ramirez in this lengthy transfer period for Liverpool F.C. - Chris Teer (Sky Sports) ____________________ Banega, Alves - Liverpool's new signings. 16/08/2008 ![]() ![]() Valencia CF have agreed to accept an offer rumoured to be about $3.3 million for Ever Banega to move from Atletico Madrid where he was currently on loan to the English giants Liverpool. Furthermore, the Spanish powerhouse Barcelona have released Dani Alves to move to the Merseyside club for a signing fee of around $17 million. "Both players have a wealth of experience in their preferred playing positions. Additionally, they both have played for their respective international teams which appeals to me. Both players will bring both youth, and skill into the defensive units of the club" stated Liverpool manager Ramirez. Banega had been rumoured to be signing a new 4-year-deal with the Madrid side which would see him play in Spain until the end of the 2012 season. Ramirez alerted to the fact that negotiations with Valencia winger David Silva were currently ongoing and still required time to seal his signature. ![]() - Chris Teer (Sky Sports) Last edited by crixxaii; 11-11-2008 at 03:12 PM.. |

Got some semi-big clubs and tried to make it seem as if he was manager at them (truthfully we all know he is just made up) - but gives it that extra bit of realism. Transfers being done now! |
