![]() Cranky Frank leaves Lang Park Frank Farina today refused to comment Coach of two seasons, and former Australian soccer golden boy Frank Farina has left Queensland Roar on what are beleived to be 'mutual conditions'. It is beleived to be not to be due to a lack of results in prior seasons, but a lack of financial backing for his marquee and youth marquee signings. There are many rumours of past players taking over the new vacated role. The top of the list is that of former coach and supposed Gold Coast United coach Miron Bleiberg. This is due to the fact that his team was left out of FIFA reccomendations as a controllable team in 2009. Other possible names as new coaches include former Socceroos Mark Brusasco and Craig Johnston. Others have speculated the possibility of having capatin Craig Moore take on a 'coach captain' role. Only time will tell of the new coach. ![]() Miron Bleiberg playing down speculation of an A-League return |

![]() Roar Unveal Top Kop Coach ![]() Craig Johnston today Queensland Roar have annouced that Craig Johnston is set to become the new coach. Earlier today Queensland Roar officials named the former Liverpool legend Craig Johnston to fulfill the job last filled by Frank Farina.Craig is famous as a player, scoring the winning goal against rival Everton in the 1986 FA Cup final. "This will be a big challenge for me as a person to perform well for all the Roar Fans", Craig stated in his opening conference. This will be his first managerial position of a professional club, after securing several UEFA coaching licenses while back in Europe. Miron Bleiberg has been named as assistant coach to Craig and will 'guide' Mr Jonhston should the need arise. Miron has told Fox Sports that the team will begin a transitional stage now, with many players coming in and out of the club before the 2008/09 season begins in a few months. "Expect to find us in Asia as we find the best ways to make this club excel," the normally outspoken man claimed. A possible Asian Tour? Stay Tuned to find out!

Captain Craig Moore has publicly welcomed Sepp Blatters decision saying "Before the game can go forward in Asia it must be pulled into line. Once the match fixing probe has finished (only) then it will be a time to celebrate."
