Breaking News - Newcastle names Ketsbaia as manager

Ketsbaia - Former Newcastle player is now manager.

Newcastle United have named former Anothosis Famagusta manager - Temuri Ketsbaia as the new manager. This is the interview in the press conference room.

Interviewer: Temuri, welcome to Newcastle but how well do you think you can do for the upcoming season? I am pretty sure that the confidence is low at the toon and do you think you will meet the expectations Mike Ashley wants you to?

Ketsbaia
: Well, I am here now yeah? I know a lot of you may not know me but I will give a 101% every game and make sure we take maximum points every time we play.

Interviewer: The squad does look quite incomplete, what are your plans this summer?

Ketsbaia: I do agree with you that the squad is thin, however we have a quality side and all we need to do this summer is to sign players.

Interviewer: For the transfer window, how many players do you think the club needs?
Ketsbaia: Considering that the squad is thin, I think we need at least 5 players and not just normal players but quality players.

Interviewer: What are your goals this season?

Ketsbaia: The main goal is to bring Newcastle back where they belong, which is Europe and hopefully a trophy this season.

Interviewer: Thank you for your time.

Ketsbaia: No problem.

It is no secret that
Ketsbaia is an optimist however if he wants to accomplish his goals he will need to work hard with the players

Newcastle fans not happy with Ketsbaia appointment

Newcastle fans let Mike Ashley hear their anger at the appointment of inexperienced manager
Ketsbaia. A lot of fans have been worrying about relegation dog fight the coming season.

A Newcastle United fan said
"The season is already over as soon as
Ketsbaia was appointed, great player but not sure if he is the one to help us "

It seems like
Ketsbaia is not going to be a popular figure at St. James Park

Newcastle eye Kenwyne Jones

The Sun claim the Trinidad and Tobago international is attracting interest from rivals, Newcastle United. The striker who plays upfront for Sunderland may be tempting to leave the Stadium of Light to be Ketsbaia's first signing of his spell as Newcastle United manager.

The tall and strong striker who scored 7 in his last 33 games have made a name in the premiership after his promising season in 07-08.

Newcastle United seem to have made a bid worth 4 million pounds but will Roy Keane let this talent leave for a relatively cheap 4 million?

Being a Mag myself, I think the Newcastle fans would be a bit cold towards Kenwyne Jones...

Well, watching the match right now, I'd have to say Newcastle have no chance of EVER signing Kenwyne Jones. They aren't being very nice to him so far.

UPDATE:
Possible Spoilers below

Sunderland 2 - 1 Newcastle

Kenwyne Jones is a donkey, we don't want him at St. James Park.

How dare you jip The Toon in a Newcastle thread?

You deserve to be pinned down and forced into listening to the commentary from United's Champions League Final for that like...

Craig's Return?

Craig Bellamy while in Newcastle United

The Sun have reported that Newcastle United manager Ketsbaia is looking to bring back Craig Bellamy back to tyne-side. However this risky decision could cause the fans to dislike him.

The Wales international who had been rocked by injuries might be tempted to leave Upton Park to play in the black and white once again.
