Post Match Interview -
Newcastle vs Stoke City

Poor Newcastle United fans have to suffer a home loss to newly promoted Stoke City, however
Ketsbaia believes that they will take maximum points against Middlesbrough.

Interviewer: Unlucky about the loss there, fans are unhappy about it and do you think you gain win some respect from the fans?

Ketsbaia
: Definitely, the season is not a sprint, it is a marathon. Of course we would love to start the season with a bang but it is most important to be consistent, and we will have to show that.

Interviewer
: Joey picked up an injury, will he be back for the next game?
Ketsbaia: Tough to say, it did look bad but once we receive the news on him we will announce it..

Interviewer: Any news on the transfer window before it shuts?

Ketsbaia: We are a quality side but there will be some leaving the club and hopefully at least one coming into the club.

Interviewer
: How do you think the team played today?

Ketsbaia: It wasn't what the fans were looking for. We took control of the game until the last 20 minutes. Which we played disappointing, but we cannot let this get in our way. We will have to move on to the next game.

Interviewer
: Thanks for your time, and once again good luck to your next game.

Ketsbaia: Thanks and no problem.

Newcastle suffers a embarrassing loss but will they able to bounce back against Middlesbrough?

I Want Trophy!

Newcastle United's boss wants trophy

Newcastle United have promised the fans to win a trophy this season. He believes that Newcastle United will be able to bounce back from the Stoke defeat at St. James Park and that a trophy this season will be realistic

Newcastle United's boss said

"Life is hard for a geordie, they all want success like all other fans. Lost against Stoke may be hard to take but we will bounce back"

"I believe this is the time for me to make a name in the world of football, I want trophy"

Strong words from the manager but will this be a dream come true?

if anyone realises, I actually change the manager from me to temuri ketsbaia because i find it hard to find a picture of me to post for interviews. therefore i chose temuri ketsbaia to be the manager, i edited all the post to change the name from Douglas to Ketsbaia. It is also more realistic

Carroll is not that great, he was never going to turn out great, even in real-life Zamblera is the real deal

Premier League - Match Preview
Middlesbrough FC vs Newcastle United

Barclays Premier League
Matchday 3
23/8/08
Riverside Stadium

Kick off time: 15:00

Team News
Newcastle United's skipper will return to the bench however Joey Barton will be left out due to a injury.

First Win?
Newcastle have yet to get their first win under
Ketsbaia but will this be the time? Against one of their rivals, Ketsbaia will definitely be going for the win and it will be a great time to do it as well.

Catastrophic Defense

Newcastle have one of the worst defense in the past few years, will Ketbaia fix Taylor and Coloccini up or will it be another blunder pair?

Predicted Newcastle United starting eleven
Shay Given, Habib Beye, Steven Taylor, Fabricio Coloccini, Royston Drenthe, Aaron Lennon, Nicky Butt, Danny Guthrie, N'Zogbia, Obafemi Martins, Craig Bellamy

Subs: Steve Harper, Sebastien Bassong, Jose Enrique, Damien Duff, Jonas Gutierrez, Alan Smith, Michael Owen

Key Players:
Middlesbrough - Afonso Alves - The Brazilian striker looked good in his first season in the Premier League last season, this would be a major threat to the Newcastle's "Paper Thin" Defense.

Newcastle United
- Obafemi Martins - The Nigerian striker found the net in the last game and look like a big asset to Newcastle. If he could keep it up, Middlesbrough will find it tough to take on his speed and trickery.

Score Prediction: 2-1

Premier League - Match Preview
Middlesbrough FC vs Newcastle United

Barclays Premier League
Matchday 3
23/8/08
Riverside Stadium

Kick off time: 15:00

Team News
Newcastle United's skipper will return to the bench however Joey Barton will be left out due to a injury. Newcastle will make two changes to the starting line-up, Jonas Gutierrez will start over of N'Zogbia and Nicky Butt will take over the injured Joey Barton.

Newcastle United Line-up:

------------------------Given-----------------------
Beye-----Coloccini-------Taylor-----Drenthe
Lennon------Guthrie-------Butt----- Jonas
--------------Bellamy----------Martins--------------

Subs: Harper, Enrique, Bassong, Duff,
N'Zogbia, Smith, Owen

First Half
Middlebrough kicks off

4th - Newcastle United starts the game on fire - Nicky Butt takes a shot but fires way wide of goal

12th - Afonso Alves has a chance from a corner! but headers it just a little bit too high

17th - Bellamy runs down the right hand side, crosses a low ball in but it was cleared away by Wheater

29th - Arca takes a shot! It nearly lobbed the keeper. Good Effort

33rd - Jonas Gutierrez cuts in from the left and takes a shot! It hit the post! How unlucky!

43rd - GOAL - Arca scored for Middlesbrough, good pass from Alves who created this golden opportunity for Arca.

1-0

Half time whistle blows!

Second Half
Newcastle kicks off

46th - GOAL! Martins have done it again! What a beautiful ball crossed by Aaron Lennon which met Martin's header. Wonderful goal straight after the kick off.

1-1

51st - Oh my lord - How did Sanli manage to miss that 1 on 1 opportunity? He was unmarked, no pressure and he just hoofed the ball above the crossbar.

58th - Martins takes a shot after getting past Wheater! But good hands from the goalkeeper.

66th - Aaron Lennon runs down the right - crosses it in! Met by Bellamy! Oh good save from the goalkeeper! Could of been Newcastle's lead if that have went in.

Substitution: Lennon off, Duff in

79th - Damien Duff hoofed the ball up to Bellamy! Good control by Bellamy but amazing tackle from Huth.

84th - Arca has a chance to make it two for him, but it was Given who saved Newcastle this time.

Full time whistle blows and Newcastle have yet to find their first win. Ketsbaia really needs to sort the defense out as they have leaky holes throughout the whole game, maybe a sign of a new signing?

Match Ratings
Given - 5.5
Beye - 6.5
Taylor - 7
Coloccini - 8
Drenthe 7.5
Lennon - 7
Guthrie - 8
Butt - 8
Jonas - 8
Martins - 8
Bellamy - 8
Duff - 4.5

Man of the Match

Newcastle's legend in the making - Obafemi Martins

Final Score - 1-1
