no problem mate, and heres the last update for back pagers...
![]() January 4th 2009 Johnson Signs Up! ![]() Johnson snapped coming out from his medical in Bradford Royal Infirmary £300,000 In an incredibly talented move by Stuart McCall, our manager has managed to snap up Jermaine Johnson from Championship side Sheffield Wednesday back to us here in League 2! The manager told us he used a lot of cunning tactics to sign the Jamaican international: “First I cleared everything up with Law and showed him we had the right money for Jermaine. Then I sat down to have a chat with him. I told him he would have first team matches coming out of his ears, and that we’re going up in the world fast. That and nostalgia brought him back to Bradford I think.” After a much publicized turbulent time at Sheffield Wednesday, Johnson has come back home to West Yorkshire. “It feels right at this club at the moment. Stuart is a great friend of mine and we’ll be back up to the Championship in two seasons anyway!” the optimistic winger told us today. He will be taking over from Daley immediately on the left or right wing, and should start in 4 days against Rochdale. Sharry leaves for Barnet ![]() £50,000 Fringe midfielder Luke Sharry has left us for another League 2 side Barnet, citing a need of first team matches as his reason for leaving. “I was getting nothing here at Bradford. I enjoyed myself but against the likes of fan favourite Mclaren and the youngsters Dean [Furman] and Lee [Bullock] it just wasn’t working out. Hopefully at Barnet they’ll find a good place for me.” |

![]() ANOTHER DRAW ![]() In an average game of football from both sides the game ended in a 1-1 draw thanks to goals from Dagnall and Thorne. Conlon finds himself out for 2 weeks because of recurring thigh injury sustained from a bad fall. Bradford were playing at home to Rochdale, and were again wary of in form striker Le Fondre. Jermaine Johnson started his debut on the right of midfield, and in a cheeky move by the manager Omar Daley started what might be his last game for Bradford on the opposite side of his replacement. The first half was goalless, but was still exciting as Peter Thorne and Michael Boulding both came close to scoring. Barry Conlon was injured very early on in the game so the latter was brought on. Peter Thorne came the closest of the two as he hit the post twice in quick succession after 20 minutes. The ball did go in the away net but Thorne was just offside as the ball was played to him. Bradford started the second half strongly but on the 65th minute it was the away side who got the opening goal. The ball was pinged around the Bradford goal area before a header struck home for Dagnall and Rochdale. It took under 10 minutes for the equalizer however as in the 73rd minute Peter Thorne latched onto a pass and unleashed a shot from 18 yards out into the top corner. The match was tense but neither side could work another goal and the game ended in a poor draw for Bradford. Full Time: Bradford 1-1 Rochdale ![]() Thorney's stunning strike levels things for City Player watch Jermaine Johnson The new winger wasn't really that impressive in his first match in office, and was almost upstaged by his fellow Jamaican internation Omar Daley before the latter was substituted off. It may take a couple of games for the winger to adapt to a more physical game but we're sure he'll become a great player. |

![]() HECKINGBOTTOM IS GONE! ![]() We have been informed that Paul Heckingbottom has been sold for £18,500 to fellow League 2 side Lincoln City. The Left back had been at Bradford for 2 years after playing at Sheffield Wednesday and Barnsley, but recently competing with Carlos Zambrano and Luke O’Brien has proved too much for the ageing defender so he has been sold on. |
