Hey, I like the thought of Northern Ireland in the world cup.
I think they would need a lot of help though.
Keep up the good work.

Rangers Come Back To Win Thrilling Match

Rangers defeated Dundee United today in a stunning match, that saw Rangers go down after half time, but Kris Boyd's two goals ensured Rangers walked away the winners at Ibrox. Derek Johnstone said that his team played with a lot of heart, and showed strength in coming back to win.

"I think that we had the run of the game, we missed a few chances in the first half but i feel that we went into the break as the stronger team. The goal we gave away was a big setback, but we showed the strength of this team when we came back. I would have been happy if we had of came back to draw, but the last goal was stunning, it wasn't beautiful, but it had a lot of heart, it was amazing".

(Kris Boyd, Scorer of 2 goals in today's match.

Rangers Pull Off Shock Transfer Swoop

Rangers have today announced the signing's of two young Englishmen, the first is Manchester City's Daniel Sturridge, who has joined on a four year contract. Rangers payed a fee of 390,000 pounds for the youngster.

However the second transfer is the one that has people talking, as Rangers announced the signing of young arsenal star Theo Walcott, for a fee of only 3.9 million pounds. Arsenal announced that the player put in a transfer request, and that it would not be right to stand in his way.

Derek Johnstone spoke of the signing's at a press conference today.

"We had been speaking with Manchester City throughout the entire off-season and we knew that we had the deal done early on, it just took time to get the minor details worked out".

"The situation with Walcott was pretty simple, we got a call through saying he had requested a transfer, so we had to work fast if we wanted to secure him, as we knew a lot of other clubs would be itching to get him. straight away we contacted the chairman and he made the funds available, we then put a bid through and about an hour later we got a call from Arsenal saying they had accepted the deal".

"It was quite bizzare really, it all happened in the space of a couple of hour's. we didint really know if we had a real chance of getting him, and we thought that our bid wouldent be able to come close to some of the other big club's, but i guess they did not want to let him go to another English club. We will probably see him in action in a couple of weeks after he settle's in to the club".

In other transfer news, Rangers striker Aaron was sold to Reading.

(Daniel Sturridge)

(Theo Walcott)

Great signings but I don't think Theo Walcott would sign for rangers.

Theo Walcott Speaks

We spoke to Theo Walcott today about his shock move to rangers, here is what he had to say.

sky sports: so Theo, did you really think you would end up at Rangers?

Theo: To tell you the truth no, i had been talking with people from a club in spain, i obviously cant say which club, but they said that if i was willing to put in a transfer request they would put in a bid for me. I did so, and i felt really bad beacause i wasnt itching to leave arsenal, i just wanted some playing time abroad. i was so suprised when the club told me i was going to Rangers, i guess the spanish club were not quick enough with their bid.

sky sports: with all that said, will you still work hard here at Rangers?

theo: if course i will be, i am under contract here now and i will play as well as i can for my new club, the manager has ambitions for European football, so i cant wait.

sky sports: ok theo, thanks for your time.

theo: no problem, thanks.

Great story, that would be surpising, to put in a transfer request for one club but go to another. ANd now I see why.
