Stoke 1-3 Tottenham

Lennon(right) assist king.

Match Report:

Tottenham remain the top dogs of the premier league after another good win and this time it was alot easier to breathe with the scoreline it ended as.

Spurs were comfortable through the game, playing nice football & defending well as a unit. Cesar was i goal for another game and he played very well saving 2 deflected shots. He may have parried them both but it was enough to keep spurs in the game and go on and win it. The first goal came on the 5th min of the game when kitson was played in by Olifinjana and slotted from 6 yards out and set the home team off to what they thought a winnable match and it was..

For tottenham that is. When Lennon(the assist king) these days set all 3 goals up. First was from a header by Bent and it was in the place where he is most dangerous, the box outside the 6 yard box and the goal came on the 20th min. Again, Lennon broke on the left steaming past a couple of stoke players with his pace and with quite alot of space infront of him he jogged into the box and it looked he was going to shoot but when he seen Bent open he played a fast, strong low pass towards bents feet and he blasted the ball in to make it 2-1 to the visitors and all the stoke players heads started to drop and spurs started to do what they are always good at and that is counter attacking.

On the 67th min stoke managed to get a corner, with hardly any possesion of the ball in the first half this was there 1st chance of the half, swinging ball in from Soares found woodgates head which was headed out of the box and then fell to the pacey lennon. He ran and ran through the middle of the park and to the left of him they was no one other than Bent once again, Making a run through meite and griffin to find space and a through ball lob found his feet as he was just inches onside and with his pace he ran a few more yards then took a shot on goal from 15 yards out & this gave spurs a 3-1 scoreline and 2 goal Cushion and spurs played the passing game for the last 20mins or so creating a few runs into the stokes half but nothing was really made. With Campbell and Jenas both coming on to make there first debuts of the season it was time for the final whistle to play for full time.

Match rating – 9/10.

Might just rotate. Lennon has the impact when he starts, Some games he does well.. Usually vs teams that are under par. Bentley is taller, and stronger but just a inch slower but that wont stop me playing him either.

It's hard to choose they are both good players. I usually bring either one of them on when i get to ht or 60/65mins and both do something when they come on..

The player who scores a few but i dont play ball to much is Di Maria, I might try Lennon on the left one game and bentley on other..

Tottenham 3-3 Arsenal

Tottenham players celebebrate comeback.

Match Report:

The 3rd local london derby this season & it was at home once again this match had all the makings for a classical deby game and it was a brilliant come back from Spurs.

The 1st half wasn't to be for spurs as 17th place Arsenal ran ragged againslalala place spurs. In the first half it looked like it should have been the other way round in the league. Arsenal opened the scoring from a goal by Van Persie and was assisted by a long throw into the box from Sagna and from close range the creative striker had the last touch to take the lead. The 2nd goal also came in the 1st half and it was a stunning volley from the future world class fabregas. Letting it fly from around 30 yards out pinned into the top corner, Gomes knew nothing about it and let stunned as spurs go 2-0 down. Soon after it looked like they wrapped it all up with a second strike from Van Persie just before the half time.

Fans are leaving white hart lane at half time.

All spurs could do now is come out in the 2nd half and try and not conceed but score a goal or 2 and maybe, just maybe get back into this game. Bentley & Jenas off for Lennon & Mikel. The game soon changed tempo and spurs scored with there first attack, This was set up from one of the best performers so far this season and with what he does best. Runs past players and crosses or scores and today he scored a goal which was made by himself. He picked the ball up from 35 yards out and skipped past Wilkshire and Cligchy on the left, then cuts in and thought about one thing and that was shooting and it went in! 3-1 now and with 40 mins left there's still time to get another couple.

And that is what spurs did, This time it was through Bent and another player who is in top form this season. Scoring a header from Di Maria's cross which looked like a shot too. The fans which left at half time don't know what they are missing & with 10 mins to go it was another goal and all the players, fans, manager are delighted when they secured a point and a what a come back is was when bent was played through the centre from Mikels lob through ball and bent got the better of Gallas and on the half volley from 12 yards out slots the ball home!

Spurs were lucky, very lucky and it's going to be a toughie next game which is away to Liverpool.

Match rating – 10/10.

Liverpool 2-4 Tottenham

Bent with team-mates after he scores the 4th goal.

Match Report:

A brilliant game but for the liverpool fans it was not a day to be proud of with the defence being ripped apart through out the game and with scoring 2 goals through there best players torres and gerrard it didn't stop spurs putting in the goal with there best 2 players. Bent & Lennon both scored a brace each which moves spurs back onto the top of the league.

Usually, Spurs conceed first in the game but today it was totally different and this time it was liverpool to feel what its like going a goal down. Conceeded from an 8th minuite corner from Bentley and Bent got an head to it the keeper was left strandered but luckily carragher was on the line to head it back up but there was Lennon open with no marker to just head it to the floor and it ended up squeezing past Riera who was marking the left post to set spurs onto a 1-0 lead. At the restart liverpool earned a free kick which was in Gerrards place where he can strike them. The line was made of 4 men lennon, bent, modric and woodgate made up the line. Keane, Former spurs favourite and gerrard standing of the ball and it was only going to be one man and that was gerrard to strike it. What a peach it was too screaming just past lennon and into the top corner coming off the bar to make the scoreline 1-1.

Into the 2nd half it was an half to remember for spurs but to forget for liverpool even though they lead with a nice finish from Torres which came to him for an half volley just 6 yards out from a cross by gerrard and to make the score 2-1 to the hosts. They was 2 goals ready to come from Spurs and this let them take the lead and make it 3-2 and the goals from Lennon and Bent set this off o maybe another win for the spurs. With 10 mins left had the makings of a exciting ending. And it sure was with 2 mins to go and this last chance for spurs to wrap the whole 3 points up to take back to london with them surely came when Bent added another goal to his tally of 15 for this season.

Spurs celebrating win against Liverpool.

Match rating – 8/10.

Yeah I think Bent is a very good striker, probably good enough for strikers for a long time with all the talent you've got.
