Hello and Welcome to sky sports for this season opener at Anfield between Liverpool and Chelsea. Both teams will be looking for a good start as both teams have new managers. Both teams have had a great preseason but that means nothing right now. We go over to the managers now for their thoughts

Walsh: I am looking for a good start. I know the players very well and I think we are strong in all areas. I have just seen the Chelsea team for the game and they look very good. That is why they are 2nd best in Europe and England. I think if we can stop Drogba and Deco we will win. We just need Torres and Gerrard to fire. I am predicting 0-0 though.

Scolari: I am new to the role and so I excpect the team to impress. I am no Avram Grant so I wil get them playing. Lmpard for me is our main man and Gerrard is theirs. It wil be tough. Both are England players and will be hopiing to impress. Liverpool are a good side. You can never discount them. 3rd in the league last season and semi finalists in Europe. I think we can win though. I think it will be 2-1 Chelsea

So mixed thoughts from the managers. We will take a short break and then the game will begin

The Kop as the teams come out

Liverpool kicked off in this premier league game and kicked the ball between each other. And infact they almost scored with the first effort of the game. Riera put in a cross and Torres smacked it on the haf volley. Cech made a great save though. Torres almost scored on 9 mins though. A great break after a Chelsea freekick hit the wall. His shot hit the legs of Cech though. Torres and Gerrard found a partnership though. A John Terry freekick sent everybody forward. Malouda lost control though and Gerrard played a fine chip for Torres to run onto. He did but went one step too far and hit his shot at Cech.

ON 28 mins Chelsea had to make the first sub of the match. A late tackle by Skrtel on Deco on the edge of the box and Deco was injured. He was replaced by Ballack. On 33 mins Frank Lampard stole the ball off Walcott. He then ran to the edge of the 18 yard box and smashed home a shot past Pepe Reina. 1-0 Chelsea

Then on 30 mins Mascherano fouled Drogba. And he is Off! The tackle wasn't that bod but was deemed dangerous by the referee. Lampard then hit the freekick against the bar. Lampard then got a repeat of his goal but it was a pass from Ballack that got him it. 2-0 Chelsea

2-0 Chelsea at half time. They deserve to be level though. Gerrard ended the half with two shotlalalala at Cech

The start of the 2nd half at Reina saves a Ballack screamer. |from t he resulting corner Skrtel clears a header off the line. 59th minute and Benjani and Babel have come on for Keane and Riera. And Liverpool won a corner from a Gerrard Shot. Hit puts it in low. Walcott has a shot which is blocked by Terry. But it rolls over Cech and Torres taps it in. 2-1 with 30 mins left.

On 66 mins Babel makes a great run from the back. Plays it to Benjani who is out wide. He runs into the middle and hits a shot low into the bottom corner. Cech had no Chance. 2-2 and Liverpool even with 10 could win this

With 5 mins left Gerrard spotted Cech off his line. SO he took a shot from 45 yards and Cech couldn't get back in time. A wonderful goal for Steven Gerrard who could have just won the game for Liverpool

Chelsea however got a penalty on the 90th minute. And Reina was sent off, despite getting the ball, Carragher goes in goa to save the penalty. And Lampard Scores

No joke but the game has frozen as the ball goes in
