hello im new here, and this is my first manager mode story, so any advice or help, that would be greatful.
osasuna Full name Club Atlético Osasuna Nickname(s) Los Rojillos (The little red ones) Founded 1920 Ground: Estadio Reyno de Navarra, Pamplona, Spain (Capacity: 19,800) Chairman: Patxi Izco Manager: José Ángel Ziganda League La Liga 2007-08 La Liga, 17th History 2005/2006 campaign 2006/2007 UEFA Cup Osasuna were drawn in Group D of the UEFA Cup 2006-07 along with Parma F.C., RC Lens, OB Odense and SC Heerenveen. They successfully qualified to the knock-out stage, finishing second in their group, and were drawn against FC Girondins de Bordeaux, who had dropped into the UEFA Cup following an unsuccessful Champions League campaign. Osasuna progressed 1-0 on aggregate, drawing 0-0 away before winning 1-0 in Pamplona. Next up were Scottish side Glasgow Rangers F.C., and the Spanish side again progressed, following a 1-1 draw in Scotland and a 1-0 win at home. They were drawn against German giants Bayer Leverkusen in the quarter-finals. Regarded as severe underdogs, Osasuna not only progressed to the semifinals but did so in style. A 3-0 win in Germany had virtually sealed the tie, but Osasuna also won the second leg, 1-0. In the last-four round, Osasuna was drawn against [[UEFA Cup 2005-06|current holders and fellow Spanish side Sevilla FC. Osasuna were 1-0 victors in the 1st leg at home, however the dream ended in the return leg. Sevilla recorded a 2-0 win, and returned to the final of the competition where they played another Spanish side - RCD Espanyol - becoming winners on penalties |

Star factor:Influential veteran central defender, Cruchaga has spent his entire career at Osasuna and has made over 230 appearances since making his first team debut in 2000. He is the current captain of the side and has played an integral role in the defence for several years. Last season he made 28 appearances, scored 1 goal and was one of his team's most consistent performers in La Liga. Cruchago has a commanding presence, good strength, he reads the game well and adds valuable experience to the defence.Star factor.Accomplished young central defender, Flano progressed through the ranks at Osasuna before making his first team debut in 2004. He has made excellent progress over the last two seasons, during the 2007/08 campaign he produced some good form and made 28 appearances and scored 1 goal in La Liga. Flano is a mobile defender who reads the game well and is comfortable playing against quality opposition.Under the microscope: CA Osasuna, defense Last edited by matta89; 04-10-2008 at 02:36 AM.. |
