Fifa 09 Interactive League

It a good part of the game but the thing wroung with it is, that it is closed for ever on the fifa09 game and alot of people never got the trophy/achivment for it. The two main reasons are:
1.you never told us we have to get it in a certain time because it wont carry on for the 2010 season.
2. Alot of people was winning more that 5 matchs and still never got it

ways to fixs this:
1.re-open the interactive leauge
2.make a patch for the game that allows you to get it automatically

If you where to do this it would make all the trophy/achivment loves more happy that they can fainlly get the trophy/achivment so they can carry on getting all the trophy/achivment for the game.

100% agreed, I have most of the trophies and if i dont get this one i never get the platinum trophy!

EA open the leagues, the season have already started.

Guys I tried phoning EA Customer Service and they said that the leagues would not be opening for Fifa 09. I suggested patching the game and he did not seem to hopefull on the idea and said the best place to put my ideas across was on the ea forums.

i went there and saw that of course, there was already a thread regarding this with no reply from any developers on the situation.

I have now emailed the Fifa UK Community Manager with a long letter about this and he has promised to look into the matter and speak to the game developers.

the letter is detailed below:

Hi there,
As Fifa’s UK community manager I wanted to pick your brain about a certain issue which has been pointed out by quite a few users on your forum as well as others. This is regarding both the PS3 and XBOX 360 Fifa 09 Trophy/ Achievement entitled “Real World Winner”. This trophy stipulates that a player must win 5 online interactive league matches, but unfortunately this is unfortunately now impossible as these leagues are closed. Because this trophy is required to achieve the platinum trophy for Fifa 09 this is also now impossible to obtain.

For some this may sound a trivial matter, but for many others, pursuit of these achievements adds to part of the enjoyment of a computer game. There are many people on several forums across the internet who are trying to find out what EA will be doing about this to no avail. Here are just two of many links that illustrate this point.

I rang a member of customer service (reference number: removed) who explained that the interactive leagues would not open for fifa 09 which I understand from a licensing point of view, but was unable to give me an answer on whether this problem would be able to be solved through the means of a patch (of which I have several ideas that I will detail below). They told me that the best place to get this resolved would be the EA forums, where members of the Fifa development team regularly visit to read feedback. I went to the forum and discovered that there was already quite an extensive thread on this issue, but no feedback from a member of the Fifa development team to help any of the users who had posted there, hence why I am contacting you.

I am a PS3 user myself and for fellow users like me this trophy was only available for a 3 month period of the games 12 month existence. Trophies for Fifa 09 were only introduced in March and the interactive leagues required to attain this trophy were closed in June. This sort of time limit on a trophy is unacceptable from a user’s viewpoint.

As these leagues are likely not to reopen, I have several suggestions to help solve this. They would each come in the form of a patch but I do not know which one would be technically the best option for EA:
1. Patch the trophies so everyone has the trophy “real world winner” obtained
2. Patch the trophies so that “real world winner” is not required in order to obtain platinum
3. Patch the trophies to remove “real world winner” as a fifa 09 trophy
4. Patch the trophies so that “real world winner” is “win 5 online league matches” rather than “win 5 interactive league matches”
Personally I am guessing that option 2 would be the most convenient to employ.

I fully understand that Fifa 10 is likely to hold quite a foothold currently within the interests of EA’s staff, but I would hope that like all the best companies EA would put the customer first and help resolve this issue many people are experiencing. There is still a month left of Fifa 09 being the most recent and highest played of the Fifa franchise so I hope this issue can be resolved before the release of Fifa 10 where I fear any further queries may be ignored.

Maybe you are not the person to contact but I am hoping you can help. If you cannot, can you point me in the direction of a member of EA’s staff who can help resolve this issue, the more senior the better. Any replies I would prefer to be directed to my email if possible at removed. I would also be happy for you or someone who could help to contact me by phone on removed if you need clarification on any issues I have raised.

PLEAAAAAAAAASE make a patch so everyone will be happy and can get their hard earned Platinum Trophy. I have fifa 2009 and I am stuck at 97% trophy completion because of this Real World Winner interactive league trophy.

yeah every forum i go to its all about this trophy and i cant understand as to why ea are not doing anything about it, ive contacted them on a few occasions and basically ignoring my messages, well if ive learnt anything is that i wont be buying any more fifa games i be buying pes games from now on if ea cant be bothered to look after their customers then i just take my custom else where thats not a problem maybe they would listen if everyone gets on there back, anyway may as well forget this trophy as it will never happen. I bet konami are laughing at ea thinking completely cowboys!! COME ON EASPORTS BECAUSE KONAMI ARE LAUGHING AT YOU!!!
