A way to stop quitters
I have Fifa 09 PC for quite a few months now and I've seen the rank ladder being invaded by Quitters and cheaters, and although EA says it takes the quitters very seriosly I havent seen it take any action against them. Probably a platonic thing I gess. What if all online games where saved (like C&C battlecast) and everyone could have acess to the game in the Fifa site. This way players that felt cheated could flag that game for the community to see and decide, by vote, if the quitter cheated. Only the ones that played the game couldn't vote. Everyone that saw the game (or at least the moment of the quitting with the result, time, etc) could vote if player X cheated or not. Each player would a score, an evaluation of fairness, kind like an ebay evaluation of buyer or seller. This is nothing new. In C&C Tiberium wars you are invited to rate your opponent fairplay at the end of each game. What to do with this score of fairness? Simply display it so that you know what kind of player your up against? Take the unfair player out of the ranking? Take points from them? Ban them for a period of time? Cut the quitters (foot)balls and stick them to the wall? ... Anyhow, the basic idea is make the community an active partner of EA in the fight against the infidels,.. sorry, the quitters. Please comment Best regards, Nufiol |
