FIFA 2010 Suggestions

1. The Arena has the perfect layout for an addition of a new game mode such as single and double cuppies. Everybody who has played football on the park has played this game. Basic rules. every man for himself trying to score past the goalkeeper, generally it is done in rounds e.g. people whyo score two goals go through to the next round and whoever is left in that round is eliminated. Or it could just simply first to score 10 goals. The layout Fifa has from the Be A Pro game mode makes this easily possible online and/or locally with mates. It could also be done in the loading screen if more than one person is playing locally.

2. A goalkeeper in Be A Pro mode would be awesome, admittidly it would be difficult to find a way to do this bould it would be worth it in the long run. This also means if two people are waiting to play each other in the arena in a local game one can be the goalkeeper and one can be the outfield player.

3. I have always thought FIFA lacked a truely well-worked training mode, and on the Next generation consoles there hasn’t even been one, this is very frustrating as since the move to PS3/Xbox 360 the gameplay has been spot on and leagues above pro evolution soccer. But PES still has that training mode, it includes free training and challenge training where you have tasks to do and really helps you learn all the tricks in the game, I used to spend hours on the PS2 pro evo trying to do this and would love to see it brought into FIFA 2010 as im sure many others would.

4. The online problems need to be addressed, it takes quite a few attempts to find somebody to play online, the same goes to say for Ultimate Team and another EA game i have played (NHL 3on3). I also can play some of my mates online but not others and this can prove extremely frustrating.

5. A suggestion for Ultimate Team, I find it ridiculous the amount of people who enter the lowest tournament with 5-star teams, i think that you shouldnt be able to enter certain tournaments with certain ’star-rated’ teams, because it doesnt give anybody a fair chance.

These are my suggestions for fifa 2010. Sorry if already mentioned.

1. Goalkeepers. They are too good. Every time I try dribbling round them, I get clattered.

2. I think it would be a really good addition in edit mode to be able to wear under armour with short sleeves. Lots of players do it and it would look more like them. Also, there should be more types of ankle tape. Look at Ronaldo's ankle tape, completely different to Ashley Young's. You should be able to have the sleeves depending on weather aswell.

3. When celebrating the victory of a tournament, you don't just have the starting eleven in their kits celebrating. There should be the full squad and the substitutes.

4. Classic XI team should have Pele, Maradona, Johan Cruyff, George Best, Dino Zoff, Bobby Charlton, not the players they have.

5. I think there should be the managers on the sidelines. There should be cut scenes of the manager giving instructions to substitutes getting ready and they should show them showing there emotions. There should be a camera in the dressing room at half-time showing what the manager giving his team talk. They wouldn't all be on the sidelines though, some should go in the stands. They should get sent to the stands for arguing with the referee or the opposing manager.

6. The fans seem to just bob up and down, and they all make the same noise at the same time.

I think these aspects would make fifa better although its a quality football game anyway, the best I own.

- Have more individual animations for the fans in the crowd. 09 was a very good improvement from 08 in this area but they still look to synchronised

- Make the Stewards and Cameramen on the touchline animated so they move occasiolalalalalala

- Real ad boards. ie, AIG, Samsung, Northern rock, Vodka Kick, etc.. would give the game an extra layer of realism

- Include the Night feature for every Stadium in the game if possible.

Manager Mode

- Pre season friendlies

- More realistic prices for players

- Job offers from other clubs if your doing very well

- If you get sacked half way through the season, your next Job should start half way through the season

- Have the League play-off final and FA Cup semi finals at Wembley Stadium

- When you draw an FA Cup match before the semi final make it goto a Replay instead of extra time/penalties with the Replay being played mid-week at Night.

- Have a Goal of the Season feature which chooses the best goal from your games and the games which the CPU have played

- Weather Effects in Manager Mode and mid-week Night matches occasionally

- Make it so you can change the EA Trax in Manager Mode without having to Quit MM

- An alternative team sheet in Manager Mode. So when your starting 11 is very tired or your playing in a Cup match for example you can select that team sheet without having to change each player in your squad individually each time.

- In a "ECC" or "EFA" 2 leg cup tie, the Aggregate score should appear on-screen in brackets in the 2nd leg.

Commentary

- Less Generic Commentary. ie, instead of saying 'this team' make the Commentator say the teams name instead. Also if your playing a game which would clinch the League title if you win it, the Commentators should mention this at the start of the game.

- Make the Commentators know your season, ie. if a certain striker on your team doesnt score until the 9th game of the season, the Commentator should mention this and say how relieved he will be to finally get off the mark. or if you have 2 games remaining in the season and you only need 1 win to win the League, the Commentator should be aware of this and discuss the huge importance of the game.

Training

- A full Training mode where you can practice corner routines, free kicks, passing, skill drills, etc... in the Stadium of your choice.

- Make it so you can use the plastic wall in the Arena to practice Free Kicks with. Dribbling Practice- Have a mini game in the Arena which allows you to put cones exactly where you want. ie, walk to the spot and hold down X to put down a cone or you can just use the default setting so the cones will be placed automatically.

Editing/Creation

- Have an option to edit the unlicenced Tournament names such as the 'ECC', 'EFA' and 'English Cup'

- A "Create a Team" and "Create a League" feature which would allow Fifa players to Create teams and League's then upload them to share them with the rest of the Fifa Community if they want to. details on this here

Other

- Saved Goal Replays to HDD

- Different variations of pitch sizes.

- Different types of netting. ie, drooping nets for lower League teams

- In game Goal updates from other games appearing on-screen in important matches such as relegation deciders. also Martin Tylor could even mention the Goal scorers name.

- For Stadiums such as 'Anfield' move the crowd closer to the pitch

In Manager Mode it would be great to do training for player and do the players skill better in training mode too, for FOR,MID,DEF, GK and there should be 3 or more different commentators and you can choose one of them!!

I think the shooting is bad long range, it justs rises like a fly-away ball, or a balloon. You can't score screamers unless you curl them. And the free kicks arn't very good.

I am SOOO agreeing with you....especially on the bolded things....and the things with an underline are just MUST.

And i'll add some things of my own:

- Edit the team kit in manager mode....but only once a year.

-Exept of the pre season frienlies, friendlies during the season could be great!

-Youth team in manager mode! also a MUST thing.

I think they could introduce new online multiplayer games such as keepy-ups using sequences of the buttons and right stick.

Other games such as: (Known as cuppies, We all play it at the park )One keeper and 1 net like in the arena, but with 2-6 players taking shots playing against each other, maybe play first to 5 goals goes through into the next round. Last person to score 5 is out. Maybe have variations lalala teams of 2 and if you go out you can do keepy-uppies together or you can have a football each and take shots in goals.

Make the arena online multiplayer

Add a training mode to practice free kicks and things. Be able to have your whole team against one keeper so u can practice.

some times when your onside in be a pro it says your off and the
Commentators just say stuff that hasnt happened like u instersept and they go fanstastic takle. and the refree seems like he hates you at times u get fouled so badly and he doesnt even give play on the u tackle oppositon from infront standing tackle and u get booked for it dunno if i just my game cause my game has had disc reading problems before!!!

Imagine with me; being referee or linesman, giving fouls and cards, and after the end of the match a report will show you if you're something like Colina or only a mad...

some fantastic ideas in here,the 1 thing i would love too see improved is the individuality of the players exp.

ronaldo is not so flashy and skillful even on world class level.

long tape on players ankles(torres,ronaldo,riera,adebayor etc)but make this optional so there is still the short tape which is in fifa 09.

tattoos.

players running style,passing stye(alonso,xavi,)

more detail in the celebrations.like if it was an imprtant match and you score in the final minutes have the whole team including the keeper sorrounding the goalscorer!

in fifa 09 in anfield the fans are too far away from the pitch but in the real anfield the fans are so close to the pitch,it is the same with some other stadiums!

the commentators get boring after a while,make them a bit more interesting and say different stuff in the games.

and another thing i foun strange is when i was playing in mangaer mode and i was liverpool versus barcelona in the champions league final the ref was spanish althuogh he wasnt to biasd haha.

also in manager mode it is very hard to loan players,the response is always "this team would rather sell this player",for example i tried loaning danny wellbeck,rafel and el zhar and the response was "this team are more interseted in selling this player" .personally i dont think rafa and fergie would want to sell theese players.

well first of al i think ea sports did a great job on the next-gen fifa series, especially fifa 08 and fifa 09. these are the stuff i think they should improve on:

let's take a look back at fifa 08. the running animations. they were more realistic and better animated. in fifa 09 when they run, it looks like there hopping like a bunny on a grass landscape. i think they should take the running animations of fifa 08 back and improve it or leave it like that. i also noticed when you change the difference when your running, your player can turn without a foot on the ground making a other direction animation. the player just turns and not even bend a bit to the direction he is going to change.

another issue they should change are the skills. it's very fun to do so much skills but some or really unnecissary. the triple flip-flap. i've almost never seen someone perform that trick and also it's just a bit to fifa street. keep it realistic, more speed tricks, like oversteps, just 1 flip flap, the reverse one, 360 turn, mcgeady spin. but not the flick over head tricks or almost impossible tricks like that. they also need to introduce the faillure of tricks again, like in fifa 07 (ps2). for example when you do a flip-flap and your player is not that technical it will almost everytime fail. even if your player has ball control like ronaldo it still can fail.

another thing i want to see back is the fanshop. and this time make it overload with unlockable things. boots, shirts, 3rd kits (if the team has one). i really like to see a big collection of boots. they should make it able if you choose a boot like nike vapours, you can choose the colour you want to have: orange/white black etc.
also it would be nice if it should be able to download boots on xbox live. this way you can update your boots. it would then be nice if the old boots like in fifa 07 adidas f-50 tunit's would be made for the game and you could download them.

if you look back at pes 5, they had a option before the match started to swap between home and away shirt, but not the whole kit but you could also play with home shirt and away shorts or socks. i think this option should be great too if ea would introduce this to fifa 2010.

and if it comes to be a pro mode, i have a great idea for it (i think). when you starting you start at a low level club, you can chose which you want(fifa 2005 manager mode style) and then you can work yourself to the top. you will acquire salary based on the club your playing for for example barca big salary, and then you will have a mini shop where you can buy boots for your player, you can change your appearance, like hairstyle and stuff. and also buy upgrades for his performance.

something i forgot. a new gameplay improvement. make players like messi, c.ronaldo or other players with a incredible dribble ability have a enormous sprint/dribble ability. when they run the ball keeps close to there feet so they can change there direction at the last moment, and turning and other stuff becomes more easily for this players. this way the big stars could be more advanced from other attackers, or dribblers. but don't just make this able for the big stars. if the dribble stats are higher than for example 85 and ball control and sprint also, this sprinting/dribbling skill becomes available for that player. players below those stats has got the normal sprinting/dribbling style.
an extra would be to give the dribbling style a new sprinting and dribbling animation with more arogance, like arjen robben or c.ronaldo.

also the player celebrations needs to be improved. take a look at PES player celebrations and compare it to fifa, then you will know what i mean

more hairstyles, when i look around there are a lot of players/people who has got the c.ronaldo hairstyle or old beckham hairstyle, so put more hairstyles in it, and also more realistic, some look like there bald from a distance and the hair colour isn't always right, sometimes players has got black hair colour and in the game brown.

more physic editional options. options like neck widt and stuff like that. take a example of pes.

make it harder to score goals. it's sometimes so easy to score a goal. but what needs to be redone are the goalkeepers 1 on 1, it's way to hard to pass the goallie 1-on-1, this should be much easier like when you perform a fake shot, the goallie should fall into that trap.

better trophie celebrations, make scenes where the captain of the team receives the trophy and the crowd goes wild and the all the players and staff beginnes to jump. take a examples of PES(again) or World Cup 2006. also when you win a cup you get much more money not 2 million or something but for example when you win Champions League you get 110 million or sometihing like that.

manager mode create your own manager. when the ball goes out or substitute is being made by your team you see him talk with the player who is going in, or when ball goes out you sometimes see him walk alongside the side line giving some tactical advice or yelling. when your team is performing well you won;t see him so much yelling at the sideline, when the team is performing bad you will often see him more yelling and angry. just like in uefa Champions League 2005-2006

another thing that came up, i recently played a old fifa classic, fifa 2004. there was this tackle build in the gameplay that when you tackle or run against the back side of the player that's in possesion of the ball the player will fall and it will be a freekick or penalty when it happens in the box. this was a great way to make the defending more challenging and i think this gameplay detail should be brought back, with this defending will become a lot more challenging than just holding down the a button or x button till you in possesion of the ball again.

another thing that should be brought back are the in-game behaviour of players when they miss a chance. in the old days with fifa (fifa 2003 & 2004) when you missed a chance, there wasn't a scene when you saw the player cursing because he missed but you then saw the camera zoom in on the player and you saw the player shake his head and turn around or curse. this should be done on the goal celebrations also as i said before. take a good look at PES. all the player behaviours and reactions or celebrations are in-game and not with scenes. with this in-game actions it makes it much more realistic than when you missed a chance and the player was already walking back-wards and then you will still see the scene where he is in the box again and cursing or when you scored a goal and your player ran to the right corner flag and in the scene he was at the left corner flag or alongside the goal.

I think that the Romanian League, Liga I, should be added! Many of my friends, as well as myself, would like that! I'm sure many around the globe also. The league is the 7th in europe (UEFA Rankings) with 5 teams in the UEFA and 2 in the Champions League of 2009.They have some great players, if you're going to include the national team, why not include the league where many Romanians play in? Many Brazilian players also play in Romania. Have you not seen how well certain teams can perform against other international teams? For example, when cfr cluj played AS Roma, from the serie a, they defeated them by a very good margin, and that's just the start. If you're going to include some austrian league or belgian league or english league 2 with only 1 or 2 okay or good teams, then why not include one like Liga I, with more than 7 great teams, who regularly make international championships. Who even plays with a team from the fourth division in england? Not many; for enjoyable game, at least include the first division of Romania, you should get a broader enjoyment than the fourth english division and better leagues.

So I had the greatest idea come to mind that they could put in the next Fifa:
Have a section of some of the greatest teams ever that you can play with and make their ratings equivalent to like if they were playin now, like 04 Arsenal, 99 ManU, 94 Milan, 74 Munich, 03 Madrid, 95 Ajax, 85 Juve etc.

First you guys should make manager mode more realistic in general, i.e., trades, being offered jobs from other clubs, have other clubs offer to buy your players even if they are not in the trade list, and most important! dont make it so repetitive!!!!!!!! please.

Second, add the Argentinan League, Ukranian League, Greek League, Russian League as well as more important teams to the Rest of the world list.

Third, add WAY more national teams. There are some important ones that have been left out. Also in manager mode, have a replay of the best three goals of your club in the season. This would be plain awesome!

In FIFA 2010 there needs to be some serious changes the shooting in 09 was horrible e.g when you shoot from outside the box all the ball does is rise straight over the bar. the creators need to study a variety of shot techniques including outside of the boot, curling, knuckle ball (no spin on the ball random movement. like Ronaldos free kicks) putting dip on the ball an chipping. the fine shot in 08/09 works nice an looks good until u look at it in the replay and u find that the ball hardly curls and they kick it strangely it should be the inside of the boot and sometimes e.g when the player is 1 on 1 with the keeper he opens himself up before slotting home with the inside of the boot.

SOUND EFFECTS The PA announcer was a good idea but not all of the players names get read out after scoring. When you watch football on tv and a shot goes wide hitting a sign-board it makes a thumping noise which they done have in fifa games also when you watch football when a player smashes the ball into the net this also makes a noise. in fifa the nets do make a noise but it doesn't sound right. Players making noises when tackled especially when near the touchline microphones. Stadium silent when away team scores

FREE KICKS When u look at the way Ronaldo scores that free kick against pompey u just cant do that in Fifa. shooting with no spin just dip an random movement on the ball. More special run ups for main free kick takers e.g Ballack, Van Persie, Gerrard, Elano, Alex,etc etc + Having a choice of free kicks to edit to your favorite players. Also more special lay offs

GOAL NETS/STADIUMS/CAMERAS One thing which could really make fifa the best game in the world is if they studied the camera angles at stadiums and had the right one for each stadium for example when your watching live games on sky sports some cameras are higher up at different stadiums and at different angles. Each and every stadium is different some crowds are closer and some further from the pitch it takes time to study every stadium but it takes time and effort to make the perfect game. Also every stadium has different goal nets and goal frames e.g the goal nets at Stamford bridge,Anfield.and the Emirates arn't very deep were as at Wembley the goal nets are very deep and the lower league teams have different shaped goal nets cheaper ones also some goal nets are different colours at champions league finals goal nets are black also at Man citys ground they are black this needs to be taken into consideration maybe pre match when you are selecting the weather and which ball to use u shuld be able to select what colour the nets are how packed the home and away crowd is this all needs to be looked at to edge the game over pro evo.

GOAL KEEPER The keeper in fifa 09 are too good no keeper catches every ball they go to claim the ball is sumtimes dropped under pressure when u put a long ball into the box near the keeper it is 100% guaranteed he will catch it with no problems witch in real lie does not happen. the keeper should be more unpredictable make mistakes from time to time try to surprise the player. the goalkeeper and the ball also seem to be a bit magnetic when a player goes 1 on 1 with the keeper and the player tries to take it round him the keeper seems to smother the ball with no problems every time which again does not happen. ALSO THE GOAL KEEPER SHOULD BE ABLE TO BE SENT OFF!!

REFEREE the ref in 09 isnt bad but i personally think the ref shuld make mistakes aswell because they seem to make mistakes all the time in real life. also it would be good to see more cut seens involving the ref after issuing an red card or before more players surrounding the referee making more of a seen and players complaining about red cards. also it would be nice to see more of the linesman maybe making penalty decisions or handball that the referee hasnt seen involving a cut seen of the ref running to the linesman then making a decision causing more suspense for the player

CELEBRATIONS Authentic player celebrations should be used e.g Anelka twinkle fingers Lampard pointing to the sky Robinho sucking his thumb etc etc

SHOOTING Shooting needs an all round upgrade because it is near impossible to score a long range goal in 09. a special button should be used for outside boot shots aswell

PENALTIES Penalties are one of the hardest things to take as a footballer they are taken with alot of pressure and emotion. i think it would be a good idea to show more of the players nerves as he steps up e.g camera zooming to his face to show if hes looking confident or not. almost to put the player under just as much pressure. the goalkeeper should be able to play mind games moving accross the goal line pointing jumping up and down waving arms delaying tactics again causing more suspense

COMMENTARY the commentators need to sound more like their at the game not just watching highlights they need to sound more shocked at decisions an mistakes by the ref

EXTRAS playing surfaces at different stadiums should be different lower league teams should have a poor playing surface causing players to slip in bad weather conditions and this seriously needs to effect how the ball moves on the ground. When a player is booked on a live match on sky sports it comes up on the bottom e.g Jose Bosingwa a picture of the card and 4th booking this season also when players score this should happen during celebration. This do your own celebration is a waste of space i an im sure every one else would rather the player done his own authentic celebration rather than run around the oppositions keeper a hundred times + more dramatic celebrations should be used for 90th minute equalizers players should go crazy take their top off and get piled on by all his team mates
after making a tackle and the ref blows his whistle you should be able to protest your innocence with the ref sumtimes resulting in him not booking you or seing that you have gone too far an sending you off. handball needs to be introduced to the game aswell


the creators of the new game seriously need to sit down for a week end and just watch live ford football special an study it all weekend long all the little bits the player arguements kicking the ball away bits and bobs like that

PLUS!! all player boots should be correct!!

1 thing for the gameplay when one on one with the GK you should be able to outplay him easier then in this fifa...

My idea's for Ultimate team because I love the mode!!!
If you're not keeping UT in it, I would go crazy it's sick!

* you should be able to create your own stadium like mentioned before..
BUT you have got to spend coins on it in UT and put those items in packages instead of gameplay cards ( these are rubbish really ea nobody likes 'm)
* you should be able to create your kits and sell them so you could buy cool kits... (bit like car creating of forza motorsport 2) and again unlock some colours or something in packages
*same for badges
* when winning a tournament ofcourse a coin bonus!
* Prizes of players like torres in UT now are halfed since the beginning which sucks, this all because there are to many packages bought..
so my idea is to put minimum prizes voor players (example: torres cant be sold under 30k or something like it...)
* When winning cold cups let the manager ans subs run onto the field
* when having the cup don't let the players sit on the circle.
* the shirt of celebration should be in it and get booked but sometimes the booking doesn't matter
* when online let it search for teams that are around you teamrating...
* Commantary should scream with better goals!
* Player voices should be louder...

Does EA read this? If so here are my suggestions.

*Instead of LB selecting the player your facing to make a run. Hold LB down and use RS to choose which player to make a run. So players behind you can make runs for you without having to turn to them.

* Be able to change players at anytime. Sometimes you cant change players when the ball is in the air, a real annoying bug.

* When changing players, specially defender. They should not just freeze but rather keep moving to the player with the ball for example. Tht split second usualy costs you goals.

* To help address the issue above, maybe have a transparent arrow above the next players head which you will be changing to. Avoid a lot of confusion and unneccasary player switching.

*Important 1. Improve the short passing game. Sometimes players are to slow to react and the ball just bounces of them, or they cant perform simple passes and there way to slow to reach the player and by the time they do it been intercepted or closed down


Obviously a lot of other small or big things that could be added, but by far best fifa we have had in a long time, keep up the good work EA.
