In the arena you should be able to play more than 1 player so you can have 2 people playing in it.

In Manager mode there should be records so you can break records- e.g most games with clean sheats, most goals in 1 season. There should also be headlines from the league and around World Football e.g transfer news, results etc. Finally you should be able to have mid-season loans instead of only allowing them in the transfer windows.

I love this game(09), it has some features I never expected to appreciate. However, there are some flaws. The game needs a better in game fans( crowds). Less statues playing cameramen and guards. Maybe cut and show the bench once in a while during a match, show the coach? I loved that in euro 08. Show team celebrations, includding medals, after winning a tournament.

One big mistake "ea fifa 09" I am from Cameroon, I KNOW our team Jersey, you GOT it WRONG! Please correct this in 2010 because we are going to the world cup.

more realistic transfers and fees. I can't sign a player for 45 million but another team can sign him for 20 million.

better animations when it comes to subbing, changing tactics. show a manager or subs warming up.

change attacking/defensive pressures on corner kicks. able to only have a few players forward or all players....

put your team screen on the main window in manager mode.

save/load option for team lineups so you can easily pick different players for different games. (normal game, league cup, european cup...)

ability to add real live players into manager mode, that were not available when game came out. Such as Tosic and Arshevan signing with Man Utd and Arsenal...

I think it would be cool if there were more game-add on, downloads.
Such as boots, new hair cuts and other stuffs to use in the editor. Maybe some new goal celebrations to.

And i think that a missing part is the tatoos, i think the only player who has a tatoo is Beckham,but in real life, its a ton of players who has it.. ?

Of course the advantage rule has to be fixed.

It would be nice if the referes where real refs.

In Euro 2008, you sometimes saw the managers with reactions, i think that was a cool dimension, that would be nice to, to make that again.

1. These stadia should be included:
Celtic Park (Celtic FC)
Ibrox Stadium (Rangers FC)
Villa Park (Aston Villa FC)

De Kuip (Feyenoord)
Philips Stadion (PSV Eindhoven)
Luzhniki Stadium (Spartak/CSKA Moscow)

Estádio Alvalade (Sporting Lisbon)

2. The “Create a Stadium” idea is one that I am very much in favour of, it could alleviate a lot of problems as people could create a stadium similar to their own teams stadium if it is not already in the game. With the power of the PS3 and Xbox 360 it should be a simple enough option to include.

3. More weather effects would be an improvement.

4. Lionel Messi is the world's best player, and should be the highest rated in my humble opinion!

5. More emphasis on player likenesses outside the very big English, Spanish & Italian teams. Of the Old Firm teams, only a handful of players look like their real-life counterparts.


These criticisms apart, I wouldn’t change much else as the current version is very good indeed!

Player creation
One should be able to make each created player as good as you want it to be, if you want to give a player 99 on everything one should be able to do so. Like it is in Pro evolution soccer.

Be a pro
Make the players goal much more realistic based on the position he's supposed to play in, not make 3 goals in a game if you're a midfielder.

Career mode
Have more realistic difference between the teams, it's not realistic that Wigan win the Premier league for example.

Make bigger efforts on the graphic, it's not so different from 08.

Get the hair and skin colours right. Its not that hard EA. You just look at a picture of a player notice their skin colour and hairstyle and get it right. The amount of well-known footballers in the game that have the wrong skin tone is a joke.
Maicon,Cavalieri,Marcelo,Mascherano,Carvalho,Felip e Santana,Sinama-Pongolle,Geovanni,Mehmet Aurelio,Luisao to name a few don't have the right skin tones.

And the Hairstlyes....I'm speechless there just awful. Look at Wes Brown for example

And PLEASE EA let us EDIT players faces at least.

And if your going to license a team do it properly. Whats with leaving out the goalkeepers jerseys of 90% of the 'licensed' teams and replacing them with those horrible multicoloured kits. At least make them the colour of the real Goalkeeper Kits if you won't license them

• What I want in the next FIFA or even the one after is:

• Kits to be customizeable, it adds more replay value as people sometimes cast the game a side when it loses the realism by having an out of date kit, where as I think if players could create their own kits it would be a good trade off. There's huge potential in a customizeable kit as you could have download packs with new kit templates, sponsors, numbering and so on, it would be nice say for example you have Real Madrid you could switch their kit make to Nike and sponsor to Samsung or any sponsor that is signed up to be in FIFA and also pick from Nike's kit base templates.

• Expand the Arena mode, perhaps have it a bit more free roam e.g like some of the tony hawk stuff, you have the freedom of the arena grounds, you can walk in and out of the arena perhaps have a kick about in the tunnel or car park outside the ground almost implementing some FIFA street elements.

You 'could' and just saying 'could' have a split screen for an extra person in the arena for someone else to drop in. Would also be interesting to see if you could take this expanded arena mode and take it online, would offer some opportunities for online mini-games like Wembley singles (old playground game) or Wall Ball (basically like squash with a football, could be played against the stadium outside in the car park). At the moment Arena mode doesn't really add anything of value. Oh and you should be able to choose your keeper in the arena (as far as I'm aware you can't I'm stuck with Kirkland)

• Players to look more realistic, I can't quite put my finger on it but there seems to be something unrealistic proportionally about the players they seem to be perhaps a bit too stocky and have short legs in comparison with their body. Also more player faces, it's a huge shame that big players like Huntelaar aren't correctly represented in the game and have a generic look.

• Don't tell the players which modes they should play: time and time again on FIFA you feel like you are guided or forced into playing certain modes just to unlock something you want to use in another mode, e.g player creation with boots having to be unlocked, stats having to be unlocked, hairstyles having to be unlocked, is it really fair on the players who don't have the time to go through season after season and don't like season mode.

Would it really be that bad to let players create one player, where you can have as much stats as you want and can completely create the player you wan't from the start, it wouldn't be unfair on other players as everyone would get a chance to create their one player.

Not everyone plays FIFA the same some play it for the manager mode, some for season mode, some for online, some for BAP mode and some for the rest of the online and some play it for all of the features no 2 FIFA players have the same preference so they shouldn't feel forced into playing modes they arent too keen on. It's not a point for me personally just while I don't mind playing most FIFA modes, my mate who only gets time to play FIFA for around an hour or two at night tends to only play FIFA online as he hasn't got time to play through the season and he shouldn't have to lose out because he would rather spend time playing online.

• Sort out the AI of players you don't control because it sucks, honestly the amount of times you will get caught out from your defender pulling away from marking a player and letting the guy through on goal is beyond a joke.

• Sort out the freekicks, I don't know what exactly EA have been playing at but years ago, can't remember which FIFA probably 2001 or something, they got freekicks spot on and then for no reason they scrapped it, and replaced it with something that requires more luck then skill.

• Weather, seriously the game is begging for variations on weather like snow, windy, rain, light rain, sun and so on, and it should have an effect on the ball and ground conditions.

• Commentary is almost there at the moment very close, the best bits of the commentary at the moment is the small talk, like "this why when Et'oo's name is mentioned in transfers all the top clubs want him", "Newcastle are a team that have had many star players along the years but for some reason or another they always seem to underachieve". It would be nice if they spoke over replays, have the commentary react more to better goals like shout when there has been a screamer fly top corner and as someone else stated, have them mention the team more instead of it being generic or vague.

• Should be able to save goals to the hard-drive (simple as that)

• Bring back the old European all-stars team and World all-stars team, would really bring in a sense of realism too if they had real kit makes aswell. Perhaps even have a Nike team (the best of Nike's roster), Adidas team, Puma team, Umbro team, Reebok team, after all they do have Nike vs Adidas games in real football for charity. I can't see a reason why it isn't possible being as these brands sign up to partner FIFA games

• Add more realism. more variation on the sponsor boards, subs warm up along the side of the pitch, Ref can be knocked over (If he can block my shot, then it's only fair I can knock him over),

• Diving, lets face it, whether people like it or not it's part of the game now even though it shouldn't be, but to make it realistic there should be some way of being able to dive like one of the older FIFA's where if you did it badly you got booked, perhaps if it was really obvious with no-one around it could be straight red.

• Add controllable celebrations at the end of the match too, in BAP mode if a team mate scores I should be allowed to celebrate how I want and perhaps do flips too rather then be limited to the basic celebrations.

• Add facemapping to the game, so you can have your own face in the game if you have a PS3eye or Xbox camera or you could even let people do it from EA's website by uploading a picture from a digital camera that can then be downloaded from the console.

• Simple one that I think everyone wants....we should be able to control the keeper in BAP mode.

• Would be brilliant to create your own stadiums, it would be fun just for the over the top side, you could create something like a 200,000 seater stadium, the noise and atmosphere would rightly be immense

• Bigger variation in your defence of freekicks, it's frustating you can't move the wall or even break away from the wall.

• Advanced online settings so if you have a team in unranked match you can decide whether you are willing to play someone with an enhanced team, e.g players who create their dream team and have all-star Manchester United teams, and you can filter those types of players in or out, it then stops people *****ing when they play someone with a team they didn't realise was an original one.

For example, I play with a team online in unranked and I have just two players who aren't in the original team who are only ranked around 82 and are swapped for players who were of equal skill and if I beat someone you always get the little brats who can't take losing sending abusive messages stating that you cheated because you didn't have the original team, surely if you can filter people out then there is no longer a case of that as there is no arguement as they could of filtered you out or you could filter them out.

• Perhaps have the camera cut to the bench reaction when you score.

• Instead of arena mode while the game loads in BAP mode, you could have a similar thing before the game starts like a warm up on your side of the pitch like in real life before kick off, where you have a kick about with your team testing out, and warming up the keeper (who like mentioned should be player controlled)

• BAP online mode should be sorted out, not so much the gameplay just the parts leading up to it, theres nothing more annoying then the players who won't pick a team and wait in the middle untill the timer runs out (players should be kicked out if they remain inactive for a certain amount of time while in the middle), the method of selecting positions should be sorted aswell it seems like people with a better connection have a better chance of getting the position they want, or players that react quickest which just always ends up being everyone rushing to be a striker.

maybe it should be done in a more civalized way by the captain picking each players roles, that way you won't have people running down the timer because they are having a strop as they didn't get the position they wanted.

It would be nice if there was some way or resolving people running down the clock in a childish manner and ruining it for everyone and the scramble for position selection, and in game kickout the players who remain inactive during the game, I know you can kick out players but I played an opponent who set up the match who wouldn't kick out the player on our team who was inactive and controlled the majority of the team because it made it an easier game for them.

• Skill moves easier to pull off, I can pull them off but the majority of players I play against obviously can't and it seems a shame that something that could add to the game, with your opponent being able to try a trick against you would be more entertaining and more likely especially if they are controlling Ronaldo who tries tricks in nearly every game in real life and because the opponent can't pull of a trick it seems to take the realism away a bit.

• Visually, it would be nice to see more noticeable mud marks on kits after a player slides, flowing fabric on the shirts, variation in kit fabrics because not every shirt should be the same fit, some are tight fitting while others are loose,

• Keepers should all have different ranges of their goal kicks most goal kicks reach around half way and that's it, where as anyone will know there are some keepers who can practically kick it the length of the pitch in real life, so why not in the game?!?

• Real Keeper's kits

• Would be cool to see marks on the pitch from slides or players scuffing the grass.

• Another thing someone else said, it would be cool to have an option to hit the ball with the outside of the boot, rather then have it happen randomly.

• Improve the running, there is something a bit off about the way the players run, even the best players like Ronaldo have really poor agility for players who are meant to be agile and in be a pro mode you don't really get a real sense of speed when you are running, it seems like a strange slightly fast jogg.

• Allow more acrobatic air moves to more able players so if there is a corner floated in towards that player you can hold a combination of shoot and another button to pull off an acrobatic volley

• Bring back indoor mode that used to be in FIFA 98 road to world cup it was brilliant, it would be amazing to have that online and pick the players you want in your indoor team.

Big list I know but these are things that immediately strike me as lacking or needing to take to the next level

Personally i think Fifa 2010 was a vast improvement on the previous titles, there are still problems however. Fifa 2010 seems like the best time to iron out ALL of the creases, as pro evo seems to be moving backwards in quality, so Fifa can start dominating once again. Here are a few suggestions i believe would help future Fifa titles, I won't go into too much detail as i think most of them have been covered by other posts on this site.

- Stadiums -
I think that in a domestic season in manager mode in all the top flight leagues, all the stadiums for every team should be available. Theres nothing worse than starting with a team not to be in their home stadium. I realise that this could prove difficult, so maybe these additional stadiums could be part of a download, or just part of the release in that particular country. eg English release would have every premier league stadium etc.

Also I don't think that there is enough colour in the background and in the stadium, It all seems a bit too grey so it loses realism.

Stadiums should also improve if you have taken a smaller team to the top. You shouldn't still be playing in someones backgarden. perhaps have different stadium phases for each generic stadium, so that they will improve as you put more funding in during your manager mode.

- Kits -
First of all i think that you should once again be able to create a team and create a kit for that team. There are so many liscensed kits and kit styles on fifa, with a wide variety of brand names and logos. Why not use the kits already being used by official teams as templates for your own. Giving you the option to change colours, stripes and styles etc. This would allow your own team to have a real feel of authenticity which i know many people get most of their gaming pleasure out of. This would also make for extremely good and competitive online play. Again more kit templates could be available for download.

I think everthing else has already been covered by everyone else but if i think of anything else i will post a reply. Any thoughts on this? let me know.

I think that FIFA 2010 should have more detail. The create a player is cool, and you can look identical, but there should also be create a team/stadium. On be a pro matches, there should be a camera type that enables you to literally look through they eyes of the player, and use the right stick or something to turn the head. Also, you should be able to be a goalkeeper. More on the goalkeeper thing, gloves and jerseys should have more detail too, to be honest, it kind of ****es me off (as a keeper) not to be able to be a keeper or atleast have detail for keepers.

Also, some leagues need to be added.

Greece, ARGENTINA, and Conference National

Need more stadium choices- from real stadiums to "Euro Park" and "Ivy Lane" type stadiums. (Also create stadium)


Manager mode- you should have to be a prestegious manager to sign with big clubs.
