Diving. FIFA 2010 needs diving

3. create a stadium (madden has had it before)
4. penalties in game modes
5. control squad numbers
6. ability to alter kits after every 1 or 2 years.

All ideas posted are good, but i think the only one that's guaranteed to be on '10 is that they'll bring back changing the kit # manually, due to all the criticism. As for the rest, most of them are very unlikely, but no one knows why. EA could create the greatest football game of all time if they did this.

Also, ability to delete players from the squads and not have them go into the free agent pool(like the replacement dutch team, and retirements)

how bout the practice mode. i had to get use to the controls playin exhibition games. if i had the practice mode, like in 08, id have simply played my 11 vs the goalie, and pass around til i got hang of the game. as in practice. in 09, u have to practice while playin the teams. was frustrating for me at first. things never worked out. 1 month later, im whoopin rear ends. stil, id like to have strted whoop rear ends like 1 day after the game is out (i.e practicing).

- 360 degree player movement

- A better sound when the keeper saves a shot

- AI which doesnt make your players play rubbish when you increase the difficulty level

- An option to select EA Trax in Manager Mode

- More pressure from the board when your doing poorly in Manager Mode. ie, in the bottom 3.

- Random Weather in Manager Mode which is regional so its more likely to rain if you play at St James Park than it would at the Emirates Stadium for instance.

- Cup celebrations showing the team lift the Trophy.

- Less Generic Commentary. ie, instead of saying 'this team' make the Commentator say the teams name instead. Also if your playing a game which would clinch the League title if you win it, the Commentators should mention this at the start of the game.

- Different variations of pitch sizes.

- Different types of netting. ie, drooping nets for lower League teams.

- Proper Stadium venue's for games. ie, League Play Off Final and FA Cup semi finals played at Wembley Stadium. Also the venue for the ECC final should change each Season.

- More life-like atmosphere. ie, see clouds moving in the sky, ball boys by the side of the pitch and players occasionally warming up on the touchline.

- Your players shouldn't back up to receive pass on default when attacking. It's stupid. Right now you must hold the sprint button to run towards the ball manually before a defender intercepts it. Stupid

There are more traights in this game than 08 but they are not visable to the player. I know this because I'm a reviewer for the database.

The first touch stat is covered by ball control

the custom manager face was supposed to be blue and now is.

One thing I forgot before: Responsiveness. Fifa 09 is already better than before in this regard, but in my opinion this still needs to be tweaked more. Better the responsiveness a bit more and no one can complain about this important gameplay-factor anymore. PES 5 is a good reference in this regard.

And about the quitters: When someone quits a ranked match on you, it should appear as win in your statistics (as 3:0 for example).

Yes, I think Fifa 09 is not that much better in responsivness than 08. Especially when a defender is closing in, the responsivness is pretty poor. Needs tweaking

i believe that fifa world cup 2010 should be the start of a new generation of soccer for players. there should be a couple of improvements in the game specially since it will be the biggest of the decade. these are my wishes for next years game
#1-i think that the game should be more realistic than it is now, ea should take some ideas from pes 09 and put it into fifa 10, for example there should be a scene of the players putting on thier cleats and uniforms in the locker rooms, a scene of the two countries singing their national anthem, a shot of the players huddling up with children to take the team picture before the game, at the end of the game the players are exchanging jerseys,etc...
#2- i think there should be more celebrations than there are in fifa 09, for example there could be celebrations of a player diving torwards the fans, holding up thier countrys flag and running around the field, taking off thier jerseys and running around, or getting a hug or handshake from the coach.
#3-another feature that ea should add to fifa 10 is a practice arena for the whole team to practice. also they should put penalty shoot outs in fifa 10 like they did in fifa 06.
#4-i think that the menu style should be different because there is not much of a difference in the menu from last years game.
#5-i think that a touch of mild violence wouldn't be bad, like a few pushes, shouting or shuving to the face when they are in asituation of a foul.
#6-i think that players should have more reactions when something happens, for example players should make more of a fuss when they get carded or are fouled and nothing is done, also when a team loses their match, the losing team should react to how real losers react, they cry, make faces, blame the goalkeeper or defence.
#7-i think that the graphics should be more improved in the game, the color of the uniforms and skin, hairstyle and put some additional details in the game like sweat stains, wet hair, grass and dirt stains or wet uniforms from the rain.
#8-new stadiums should be added to the game, maybe stadiums from well known countries, like they should put the maracana stadium and much more.
#9- more weather conditions should be added like strong winds, heavy snow or really wet fields.
#10-there should be a store to buy experience points for a player, and put classic players for each country that qualified for the lasy two world cups, for example, ronaldo, zinedine zidane, agustin delgado, etc...
#11-there should be a feature where you can edit your players style, hairstyle or overall style.
#12-ea should improve the crowds chants, they should be yelling out loud the name of their country to pump up the team. maybe the fans could have a shout out, to see which countrys fans cheer on the loudest.
#13-ea should not make the game too fast like in fifa 06 but not too slow like in fifa 08, the current gameplay speed is good as it is now.
#14-lastly the ea company should show the ball boys on the outer part of the field. also the game should show the managers at the side lines and show the substitutes sitting in the benches.
#15-my last wish is so that ea makes tthe game better than ever. thank you

It would be nice to include the following:

- Include the quitted matches in the match statistics. Right now only finished matches appear in the statistics. You send those results by email, so why not include them in the statistics in the game and on EA sports world?

- Show the skill points and current level in the profiles on EA sports world.

Also I think the way quitted matches are counted should be refined.
The problem is that you're given a loss when quitting even when you're leading before the game quits. I think EA should do something like this:

Since FIFA 2010 will be a World Cup year incorporate the World Cup with the seasons in MM and BAP where international players are not available for some matches and increased fatigue for those players. The World Cup should reoccur on a four year cycle in seasons as well.

* Ai must be able to do skill tricks
* BAPS should be more of a pro footballer simulator (realistic)
* Training mode
* Ability to play as a fixed player in ANY mode. It doesn't have to be a special BAP mode, just fixed player/position like you can do in NHL 09.

Record stats for individual players from previous seasons.

(American) Football lines during autumn months for MLS teams that play in dual purpose stadiums. (Madden does this with baseball fields in Sept. and Oct.)

A "Grab Opponent" feature would be a good addition where you could use it at your own risk of commiting a foul. (NBA 2K9 has a feature like this)

If you DO NOT re-sign with the club at the end of the MM season you should be given a choice of different offers from clubs with manager openings and not just choose any club. If you just managed Chelsea one season there is no way Liverpool will hire you the next and the Arsenal the season after that.

I was thinking this. I want to be able to just search for tall players without having to go through them all.
