Default Put ManagerMode back on priority list please!

I just want to get people with me on this one. I understand that EA have had gameplay and online modes on top priority since they hit the next gen consoles, but I am just begging that they would at least get us a manager mode that can match the standard they set with the current gen consoles!

Cause as of now, the manager mode has not changed a bit since the first current gen game got released (except the removal of kit numbers, which actually made it worse).

On current gen, you got cool features like edit kit number (yes I had to), pre-season friendlies, transfer summary, top assissts in the top 20 under statistics.

I am begging you EA, please put Manager mode back on priority list! You can not ignore us offline gamers forever, we want our manager mode back!!!

Thank you, and please discuss.
-Glorious90

Here is a list of what we want, based on the replies in this thread (I will add more as they come)
- Changing weather conditions
- Transfer Summary
- Edit kit numbers
- Improved CPU management (pick out the best XI for their team, making transfers for players they need, not just randomly)
- Remove CL/EFA bug where 1 team can be in the same cup twice
- More in depth history database
- Fix player ratings (so that All-league XI isnt 11 reserveplayers that played 1 great game, and also, make ratings more realistic for the CPU's games, where their players have an average rating of 8, whether they are playing bad or not)
- Stadium manager
- Pre-season friendlies
- Have better transfer seasons, so that you don't have to play a game for each time you make a bid
- Realistic board expectations
- Cup finals taking place at real and neutral stadiums
- Practice mode
- Gossip stories in media, and more media interaction
- Being able to have bidding wars with other teams about a player
- Being able to release players
- Being able to make player+cash swaps
- Be able to have a youth squad where you could call up young players when they are ready
- When you win a cup, you see your captain lifting the trophy with the rest of the team
- Night matches in Carling Cup and CL (except final)
- Changing player boots and appearance in mid-season
- Players wearing long sleeves and gloves during winter
- Being able to save additional starting XI, so when play reserve team by just hitting a button
- Realistic player development
- Realistic fatigue
- Edit kit feature (new customisable kit every season or so)
- New stadiums

buy FM 09 would be my tip as they are never going to make it perfect as they would lose money on that

I agree!!

I want to see the standing in other leagues and see who is going to make the CL

transfer summary so I can make changes that can help me counter the other teams transfers in the league...I mean come on.... a small german club bought ronaldinho and I had no clue about it until I played AC Milan

and weather

and random ball option

Didnt say perfect, I said better. And they should at least be able to give us a manager mode that is just as good as the one on current gen consoles.

pre-season friendlys, top 20 assists, transfer summary, why cant they have a patch for this stuff? it would make mm so much better. dont forget about having random weather also. it just seems like these would be easy fixes.

it really seems like ea just doesnt care about the people who buy the game strictly for manager mode. i'm almost to the point where i'm going to put away the game for the year, mm is soooooo boring right now. i have tried online play, i just dont like it as much, the computer never quits on me when i'm leading.

pleae ea, help us offline players out. by looking at some of the threads on these boards, there is a ton of us out here.

Oh yeah, forgot about the weather, which they also have on current gen, but somehow, the worlds two most powerful consoles can't have it? Help me out, cause I dont understand that at all.

Also, many of us have been playing FIFA since long before online came along, and then Manager Mode was the main selling point, and some of us still think it is, do not forget us please! We are like your war veterans, take care of us

never mind back on top of list. They need to fix the simulating crash on it. as at the moment i cant play any more than 2 seasons without it crashing and having to start a new season!

They are aware of the issue too!!!!!

fix the cpu squad management AI. I'm two years into my MM fulham and tevez has yet to play a single game for ManU...robinho hasnt played a single game for city either. and im sick of playing cpu teams with a roster full of players with no stamina. i thought pes master league was getting stale as they hadnt changed much in so many years but fifa's MM has some ridiculous issues.

They've already said that this will be their main focus for FIFA 2010

And they better keep that promise!

And also the stamina problem, CPU play teams with 11 dead tired players, and isnt capable of selecting the best starting XI for their team.

And again, this is something that current gen fifas never had a problem with since FIFA 2004 I think.

This is the single most important thread on this board.

I am disgusted that offline players are not relevant anymore.

I used to have FIFA08 on PS2.

I have "upgraded" to XBOX360 - only to learn that things are worse.

How is this possible?!?

C'mon EA - just put the PS2 game on the XBOX360 disc!

Running List:
- weather
- transfers
- preseason
- kit numbers

To be honest, manager mode as a whole is fine as is. All that is needed is some fine-tuning and minor additions and it should be good to go.

Something i dislike about Manager Mode is say you make a bid for a player and you want to get the deal tied up as soon as possible. You have to play your next game to get a reply to the bid. On manager games you can skip through single days on a calendar, i would like this implemented in the Manager Mode for 2010 amongst other things that most have you guys have already brought up.

Its one of the reasons why Im tempted to buy PES9
Better manager mode and weather

Dont get me wrong I love fifa but as a former PS1/PS2 owner my main gameplay on Fifa was Manager mode and who the hell wants to play online with so much quitting going off.

Its like the weather in MM is a no go

You can only see rain in BE A PRO CAM this is stupid

On Euro2008 you could see rain on any cam

Ea truly naffed up Manager mode on next gen and royale naffed up the weather on FIFA09 compared to Euro2008

And just to point out Im fed up of hearing

'Oh FIFA2010 WILL BE THE YEAR FOR MANAGER MODE'

Well sorry I did not pay £40 for FIFA09 just for online play and to have a ****e Manager mode and ****e weather effects that never work.

First off, gameplay this year has me totally content, the MM has me pretty dissatisfied.
I'd love to see manager mode get some attention from EA.
A couple things i'd like to see are:

Visual stadium upgrades on each level 1-10, through the Staff Upgrades

Improved Cpu Team Management AI, such as actively transfering, rotating lineups, improved player developement/deterioration

Fix the ECC, and EFA problem that everyonce in a while you'll have a team entered twice into the tournament. As well as two matches on one day, usually happens with a league cup and european cup match over lapping.

A transfer summery, for each transfer window

Various Weather conditions

More in depth history database, maybe records of league tabels and cup winners.

Kit number selections

and finally, which is not to big an issue, just silly to have it all cuz it means nothing is.... The all-league XI at the end of the season, it means nothing cuz you can have a reserve play one brilliant game, never see the pitch again and be player of the year. it's just dumb...

Here is a list of what we want in manager mode compiled from your replies so far:

- Changing weather conditions
- Transfer Summary
- Edit kit numbers
- Improved CPU management (pick out the best XI for their team, making transfers for players they need, not just randomly)
- Remove CL/EFA bug where 1 team can be in the same cup twice

- Have better transfer seasons, so that you don't have to play a game for each time you make a bid

Feel free to add more! Keep the thread going guys!

Dude don't do it! The Master League is ok and you get variable weather but the AI cheats. Seriously, PES 2009 is so arcadey that if you score the CPU scores. Honestly, every game is exactly the same, if you score 2, CPU will score 1, if you score 4, CPU will score 3 and so on. Only reason im keeping my copy is for cheap trophies

PES now is everything that all the PES fanboys (including myself) used to slate FIFA for being.

- FA Cup matches before the semi finals which end in a draw should goto a Replay instead of extra time/penalties.

- The Stadium venue for the Play-off final should be Wembley not Ivy Lane.

- The board should set realistic expectations. ie, if your Liverpool they should say 'Finish in the Top 4' not 'Avoid Relegation'.

- In 'Manager History' you should be able to look at the Results from previous Seasons in your Career.
