I've read a lot of good suggestions that would be welcome, but this is the least I expect from the game:

- The FIFA 10 engine (sounds pretty obvious but they've made some crazy stuff in the past).
- All the 32 teams that classify with real kits (with extra detail in the kits and the players faces, I mean it's just 32 teams) and final rosters for the tournament (they could come as an update, since the final rosters are normally revealed close to the tournament). Also the real coaches.
- The option to play the world cup with the real schedule.
- All the world cup stadiums.
- Anthems for all teams.
- Official music from the tournament and maybe some extra tunes that reflect the spirit of the tournament.
- As mentioned earlier, have the option to change any part of the kit separately(shirt, short and socks).
- All of the latest boots from major brands (in all colors) and the ability to edit them on all players.
- Joseph Blatter to give the world cup to the winning team.

Also, it would be great that, at the end of the tournament there is an update with the players stats that reflect how they did in the tournament, there are always surprises in the world cup, there are players that enter the tournament as relative unknowns and end up with a contract in a big club.

Where is this thinggg???? The actual world cup is starting just a few months from now, and still no announcement and not even speculation about it from anyone ANYWHERE! Has EA and the rest of the world abandoned the world cup game tradition?

I think the main reason no announcement has been made is because they want everyone to buy FIFA 10 first instead of waiting for the World Cup game (which is what I'm doing, as the Serbian national team wasn't included in FIFA 10 )

One of my favourite suggestions made so far has been "World Cup Legends Mode" - definitely would add depth and make the game very interesting. It would be good if you could take a legendary team to the 2010 World Cup and see how they fare against modern players

On that note, I also think it would be awesome to include a tribute to the first ever World Cup (Uruguay 1930 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1930_FIFA_World_Cup) as a game mode, and maybe even have all those teams playable as legendary teams. Although they might want to save this for Fifa World Cup 2030

As for including every national team, I completely disagree. I think that should've been done with FIFA 10 rather than the World Cup game. The World Cup edition should be focused on the World Cup aspect and making that AS DETAILED AS POSSIBLE! Real sponsors, real players, real kits, the lot. Teams that narrowly missed out on qualifying could also be included, as well as regional giants that miss out (for marketing reasons).

All teams should be included in the World Cup game. The reason the EA World Cup games are generally so popular is due to the fact that the vast majority of nat. teams are included; that way, all the football fans can finally have a chance to play with a team they actually want to play with (instead of having to play the "classic" FIFA series teams and leagues...which are nice, but gets boring after a while if you're not from those places).

I wouldn't buy the game if the vast majority of national teams weren't included. The FIFA WC 2006 was a great game, and EA should expand upon it (not minimize it).
