[BUG] Offside Rule

I think this was mentioned in another thread, but not in the feedback forum.

Anyway, in fifa 09 (not sure about other years) on the ps3 it gives offside when you're in your own half. its correct in that i was behind the last defender, but when i'm in my own half it shouldn't count.

Also, i'm not sure on this one, but i think it just happened to me. basically, when the keeper went up for a corner i nabbed the ball back and sent it downfield and was given offside even though i was in front of the last defender (in the opponents half this time), but the keeper was still well into my half.

it would be nice for these glitches to be patched. one can only hope...

1st reason: the decision to give you offside was incorrect because you can't be offside if you are in your own half, if this was the case, EA SORT IT OUT!

2nd reason: you got offside here because you have to be behind TWO of the defending teams players and the goalkeeper is usually always behind the last defender so because he was up there and only one defender was back, so it was right to call offside

yeah something like that happened in real life recently and it was incorrectly called as onside

ahh, i didnt know about there having to be two opposing players for it to be onside. in that case the second one is solved, but the first one is still valid.

Also, they detect humanly impossible offsides. I was a half a foot in front of the last defender and they caught me offside. ????????
