Default Ideas

1. There should be varying weather conditions depending on the time of year. Snow and rain should be back, as well as fog.
2. Players should react to the climates and wear gloves during winter and short sleeves etc during the summer.
3. When a player goes down injured and has to come off, the medics carry him away.
4. The simulation should be better for substitutions. You should see the two players embrace and the player coming off be congratulated by the staff. Or if he feels he shouldn't come off then he should storm down the tunnel.
5. There should be a new meter. The anger meter. Each player is given an anger rating. For example Wayne Rooney's anger point would be higher than that of Brede Hangelenad. And when the player is irritated (poor tackle made on him, or his team is losing) then there aggression gets higher. If the anger meter gets too high then they act out. As the player you have no control over the acting out, and your player could well be sent off as a result.
6. Managers and staff should be visible from the game field.
7. You should be able to edit any player on the database.

i think fifa 10 shud have:
  • better whether conditions so like when its raining and the players does a slide tackle they shud have mud on them.
  • more premership teams stadiums
  • and i agree wiv astonusvilla about the anger meter so wen the players get angry wiv the ref they argue and stuff.
  • also i wud like to see stuff like wen there is a corner players are holding on 2 each others shirt.
  • also i wud like to see wen the players injured they go off a bit more realistic.
  • u shud be able to see the manager and subs on the bench and wen there is a sub made the players shud be interact wiv each ova and also the manager.
  • i think there shud be handball situation because on fifa 09 u can see the ball hit the players arms.
i wud like to see some of these changes to fifa 10

Dude, that anger meter idea is top class, some people may not like the idea....could lead to the anger meter being able to be turned on/off?

Still, a great idea

You are joking right?? 2 sections highlighted in bold.

Scenario. You are playing me. I spend the first 20 mins of the game hacking Wayne Rooney. He gets ****ed off and retaliates. RED CARD. And there is NOTHING YOU can do about it?

Worst idea ever.

I suppose I will mention the requisite "Fix gameplay issues." Weather, kit numbers, etc. Now, for my own personal wants: create-a-club has to return, but with better crest and kit choices, as well as sock and short choices. Maybe have so many basic designs from real brands and then edit them. A few more options in terms of created player accessories would be nice, especially for keepers (more gloves/colours). And I still think classic teams would be cool.

i think it would be cool if you could design maybe 2 plays that could be triggered by a button combination... when i used to play in school or recreational leauges, we would sometimes have a midfielder make a switch run with the wing on occasion to throw the other team off for a play or conversely a striker and wing switch... not sure how it could be designed in... i do understand that you can make a run in the game but to design a specific run or play would be awesome! possibly for set pieces or free kicks as well.

Default idea for fifa 10

A create a stadium for manager mode would be nice; and you could use for online too When creating the stadium the more money you've got the more you can spend on capacity and things. And the more different sponsor boards you have the more ca$h comes in

Also being able to make the lay off man (on free kicks) to rainbow flick the ball up and then you could run up and volley in the goal.

Manager mode could also let you create different kits for your club, like after the seasons up, create a new away kit to boost sales, that kind of thing, ya know. And when signing another sponser deal; have the logo on your shirt.

FA Cup Replays would be nice - something which Fifa 08 and Fifa 09 should have had.

Upload club songs - Many clubs have a song which is played after a Goal is scored in Home matches. Include a feature to upload the song for your club. EA could even make some of the songs available for download for a small fee.

Weather in Manager Mode - a must. which is actually visable in Tele cam.

Night matches - In Fifa 09, the grass looks to dull, especially in the corner area's of the pitch. here's a photo of a real life Night match at Old Trafford.

Different size pitch dimensions. Its rather odd that Town Park is the same size as Barcalona.

Save Goal Replays to HDD - a must.

In-game Scoreboard - Make the Scoreboard which says HOME VISITOR in some Stadiums, show the current score in the actual game instead of being blank.

In-game Goal updates - If your playing a relegation decider it adds so much more to the tension if you know what is currently happening if other important games which could decide your fate.

Responsiveness - Professional players are able to turn quickly, when turning in Fifa 09, players move to slow compared to real life.

Skill moves - The CPU teams should use skill moves especially on high difficulty levels such as World Class and Legendary.

Improved AI Free Kicks - The CPU teams on Fifa 09 are often dangerous from corners but they are very tame at free kicks even on World Class. make them much more of a threat. try to get a balance between Fifa 08 and Fifa 09.

Improved AI tactical awareness - CPU teams should make tactical substitutions based on how the game has developed rather than just making them at random. Also they should change their starting XI occasionally instead of using the same team each time.

Improved Ref AI - Make the Ref position himself on the pitch better so he doesnt get in the way of the ball as often. Also the ref should be less 'card happy' so players don't get booked or sent off for no apparent reason.

Crowd Audio - If your the away team and you injure one of the oppositions players and he's taken off, the crowd should boo when the player who commited the foul is on the ball.

Crowd Animations - More realistic reactions from fans in the Crowd. In Fifa 09, i was playing an away match and one of the players on the Home team got sent off but the shot of the crowd just showed the fans sitting still like they were at a funeral. Show the realism of passionate fans who are angry at their team going down to 10 men.

Commentary - Needs improvements to. way to many bugs. A new Commentary script would be ideal but if EA do recycle the same script please fix the bugs.

- It would be good if the Commentators mentioned the actual Cup competition in finals, rather than just having a Generic Commentary sample for all finals.

- When you sign a player who scores on his debut, the Commentator will talk about how estastic he will be to score in his first match for the club.

- When playing in 2 leg Cup tie's, ie. the Elalalanockout stages. the Commentators will be fully aware of the current situation and in the 2nd leg will talk about what is required from each team to progess. ie, if the 1st leg was 0-0 and your losing 1-0 in the 2nd leg, Martin Tylor will say 'insert teams name' need just one goal now to progess into the next round, can they find that vital goal from somewhere'. Then Andy Grey can put in a comment about the likelyhood of you getting a goal taking into account how the game has developed so far, how many shots you've had, etc...

- Occasionally talking about the League table situation and reflecting accurately on what result you need and can realistically achieve - especially when your either challenging for the title or in a relegation battle.

- If your management is poor ie, you choose a bad formation which results in you conceding a few goals they will talk about the bad tactics employed by the manager and mention exactly where it went wrong. ie, you failed to get any service to the strikers

Custom Tactics - In Fifa 09, each time you start a match it reverts back to your Default Custom tactics instead of your Saved Custom tactics. The ability to start every match without having to change it back to the Saved tactics manually would be good.

More Customization -
Goal Replays. A setting to change the length of Goal Replays and change the camera angle for when they are shown after a Goal. so you can see the build up of Goals and select your prefered camera angle.

Throw ins. A setting which ables you to choose Throw-in takers, plus a stat should be added for Throw-in takers ability.

Free kicks. The ability to move your wall from side to side when facing a free kick.

Trophy Celebrations - In Cup finals show the winning team lifting the Trophy. Makes the feeling of winning it so much better!

Player ratings need to be fixed. Not their overall rating (82, 73, 88, etc.) but their match rating. Keepers who aren't contested all night shouldn't be penalised and given a 6. Every time you get a clean sheet, the keeper and the defenders should get at least an 8.

that is a great idea, like if chelsea were playing there last game and coming 2nd and need man utd to lose n you get goal updates that would be fantastic.

1. weather (including night games) ex. almost all champs league games should be night games, also have the same format as champs league (can't play team from youe league in first knockout stage)
2. subs on the side, and show them warming up. I think you should elect players to warm up on the side, and then when they come into the game they have more energy than say someone who comes on straght from the bench (similar to relief pitchers in baseball if that helps)
3. edit the look of all players in player creation
4. create a stadium? this would be cool
5. like the idea of in-game updates from other games
6. PRE-SEASON MATCHES!!! This HAS to be included, you can schedule like 3-5 matches pre season, whether it be againslalala division teams, or teams from different leagues
7. Better commentary - update a lot of the commentary, i've heard enough of Andy Gray calling Fabregas a teenager, since when were 21 year olds teenagers?
8. realistic money amounts - for salaries, transfers, all that.
9. Better player development - rate of gaining experience should differ depending on age, ex. van bommel doesn't get as much experience from playing a game as kroos.
10. more decisions as a manager
11. longer injuries
12. CPU doesn't play the same 11 every game of the year

And in the end, how many of these will be attended to? We'd be lucky if 2 of them were addressed

The manager mode should have a difficulty setting.

EG; Easy, Start Will Any Club, Unlimited Funds, No Job Security, ect ect

Med, Start With Any Club, Medium Funds, Not much pressure on Job Sec, ect ect

Hard, Start with a realistic club, ie bottom half of league, realistic funds, lots of pressure on job sec, ect

Expert, Start at the bottom, right at the bottom, obivously v. low funds, Unbelievable pressure on job security, just like it is now in the real world. if you loose your job, you need to build your self back up again,

Also other little things
player morale to take a massive effect, injurys to last a realistic length, pre season games, which for some reason are on the PS2 and PC version

Player managers?
Weather
All mid week Night or to get dark during the game ie august sep
Some games to have TV: coverage, money income, fewer crowd? time off day ect
Save replays to HDD< must have
Love the anger system suggested but should have a slow build up
More transfers out of your own team, ie from X to Y when you are playing as Z
a manager option, watch game from sideline, and shout commands
should be able to have Keepers sent off, and other players to go in goal
players should not be locked out of areas around free kicks ,pens, ect but should get warned by ref if they do go to close maybe even carded
highlights from other games, goal of the month season ect
should be able to hold talks with other clubs outside transfere window

Theres my rant anyway!

Very good idea, 3 difficultly settings on MM. Playing on hard and starting out with low funds, etc.. would make it all the more satisfying when you win the League and cups, couple that with Trophy celebrations and EA are onto a winner.
