A better gameplay presentation. It should be noticed that EA does a really good job with their presentations. One thing that should be added though is a better broadcast. There should be more replays at the end of each half. I have noticed a slight disappointed scoring 5 goals, all of them being great goals, and noticed that not all of them are shown in the end of the broadcast.
A really specific addition should be to have a close up of the ball before kick-off. Just like it was nicely done in FIFA WC 06. It brings a plus in presentation and it shows how vivid the game is to the real thing. I enjoy playing the game as well as seeing replays and a better presentation. It should be noted to developers if they want to improve in some areas of the presentation aspects. Edit: In terms of gameplay. When using first touch with the right analog stick, the ball should vary depending on how much the analog was moved, because there are times where I feel I should pass a defender with a slight touch, but what ends up happening, the ball goes to far and the defender easily steals the ball.

I think the most important thing to be addressed is tackling. Refine tackling, make it harder, then driblling can progress and it will make for more freedom. When I defend against the computer on World Class I don't have to concentrate, I just have to get near to the player and press x. Tackling should be hard!

I don't know if it has been addressed already.
But i would like to see a less biased referee. I seem to get beaten up all around the park, players getting hammered by the cpu (I mainly play only manager modes and Be a Pro seasons). When i say beaten up and hammered i mean tackled aggressively, and from all angles: From behind, taking the legs out from the side and all. And when i tackle back, it could just be a little leg out to tackle the player and the ref blows the whistle. It is really annoying. I would like a less biased ref. Also, when i am shooting in/around the box and i am just about to shoot, and a CPU player tackles me from behind and because i have shot the ball (the ball goes off a wild direction cos of the tackle) at the same time as the tackle the player doesn't get a penalty. This is also annoying. -On that topic** Something i would like to see is player on player interactions, like cut-scene during game. Say a player gets a nasty tackle on him, he gets up and gets in the tacklers face. No physical assaults or anything but letting the bloke know he didn't like that at all. Even have other players coming in to break things up. Just an idea to put a bit of drama into the match.

- ECC and EFA matches should all be played at Night - An option to edit the names of the unlicenced Tournaments - The AI teams should play a slower, more technical style of football like European teams do in real life - The ECC final should be played at a neutral venue in Europe which changes each season - Ideally there should also be different commentators for EEC and EFA games - There should be in-game goal updates in big European games, especially usefull if your playing in the group stage and the table situation is tight and your relying on another teams result for you to qualify. - If a team in real life has qualified for the Champions League ie. Manchester United, they should be in the EEC in your 1st Season on Manager Mode instead of you having to play through the whole of the 1st Season to qualify - Trophy Celebration showing the winning team lift the Cup

Save Replays: Excellent on other fifa's and great to show other people or just marvel at some skills.
Kit Numbers: Lionel Messi as #2 playing up front in manager mode is very annoying. Also Riodan being number #01 for Hibs but #13 on the game. Player Speeds: Chasing a ball with Fernando Torres or Theo Walcott and Walcott works in the first two difficulty levels, but chasing down a ball in Professional against any defender, they run at the same speed no matter how rubbish/slow the defender is, Torres should be able to outrun slower players then him. Weather: I agree that weather is random but certain grounds only have certain times of day to play and certain weather to play in, gloves in snow and during winter, also more night games in manager mode in Europe. 5 A Side Mode: If anyone had fifa 98, there was an indoor mode which was great for practicing skills, bouncing the ball off the walls and choosing a keeper and whatever 5 outfield players you want, kind of like fifa street (without the stupid power ups and that) Better Subs Videos: Showing more of the players coming on and off. Aggregate: Playing in a second leg, CPU teams should react to the score from the first leg e.g if they are losing 2-0 try to get the away goal. I have had the CPU losing 2-4 from the first leg and winning 2-0 against me in the second leg, needing just one goal, yet the team sits back on the 2-0 lead. Change 'keeper in Arena Mode: Sick of Chris Kirkland Training Mode: A chance to practice free kicks against a wall of players, also corners and practice saving penalties. Teams play loan players: It would be better your players coming back alot higher with thier overalls. Edit Kits: Surely people from Adidas and Nike etc can come up with a few generic kit designs for Manager Mode, after two seasons you can have the choice to design a new kit in your teams colours, and get payouts from sponsers to be on the front of your shirts, maybe using current kits as templates, like Southend United can use Chelsea's addidas stripes and collars in thier own colours. I do think that lots of things suggested are a bit stupid. Choices to retaliate to tackles, jumping into the crowd and taking your shirt off are normally bookable offenses so having them on the game is a bad idea. Showing managers is also stupid because they change so often in real life people would be complaining when a manager has been sacked and the game isn't realistic anymore. Liscencing is probably the reason the Champions League and Carling Cup are not in the game, which if aquired would make the game better. Last edited by ukandyz; 25-03-2009 at 01:32 PM.. |

David, i appreciate your work for NG version, but i have two suggestions for you and your development team, regarding FIFA 10 (NG):
-improve a little-bit the commentary. As you heard (i think), in some moments on FIFA 09 the commentators replies are intrerupted by another phrases. Can you fix that ? -improve the shooting system. The ball physics and player movement are REALLY GOOD in FIFA 09, but some of the best players like Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo are shooting too slow compared with real-life (the ball speed is to slow when these players are shooting).Try to make the shoots more powerful for this kind of players (for very good players). That's all for the moment. Cheers ! P.S. David, it's wonderful that you are reading our suggestions .Keep it up !

I'll be honest not read every page so sorry if any repeats:
Re Online BAPs 1- When playing online BAPs you have a small stamina meter for your player visible at all times. Easier to pace yourselves them with sprinting etc. 2- For quick games rather than club, the captain can see which gamer is using which player making it easier to boot troublesome players rather than the current list of just GamerTags. Often it is hard to tell who is playing who even if they keep scoring og's. 3- A practice arena for BAP club members to meet up in. For chat and practice set pieces etc with optional AI players. Basically a totally enhanced dressing room. 4- More options for custom tournaments, leagues for Club Teams. At the moment these have to be organised out of game. 5- More flexibility on BAP cameras. Most people I know play with the standard tele view zoomed out rather than the default which I find unplayable. Would be better if you could zoom out further with Tele though. Maybe a small Picture in Picture of other area of pitch either where ball is or where player is would help. |

This damn unrealistic knock-on system needs to be revamped.
How does knocking the ball 10 yards in front of you, makes a player faster than what he already is? I could never understand this. -Nas Esco |

HAHA, are you kiddin' me ? Yes, the idea is good, but that means that EA won't make World Cup 2010, so no $$$ for EA, so this idea isn't good (for EA).
P.S. Another suggestion regarding the commentary: You can't improve the commentators replies when a team is scoring, like that: YouTube - Rooneys greatest goal ? I think that we'll have a unique feeling .More crowd-cameras i think that are good (like FIFA 2004). And, Toilet Paper (sorry for "toilet" word) for the crowds should be very good, too .

I hope MM gets improved alot!
-They need to make it harder especially against the top teams, because even on legendary I can beat man u by loads with a team like bolton. -Make other teams buy lots of players, i hate playing the exact same starting 11 every single season. Though dont make it unrealistic (in my MM blackburn had Fabregas) -Dont let the top 2 in the championship get into the UEFA cup (were EA high when they put this in 09???) -Give us pre-season for friendlies and longer to look for new transfers. -Make injuries last longer than a game, If a player gets a broken leg, he doesnt recover after a week?!?! -Let us change kit numbers, I hate having strikers with like kit number 2 |

The "goal feeling" can be better with super realstic nets and different sort of netstyles.

Since I joined, I have written down any good ideas I’ve read or thought of for FIFA 2010 (PS3 and 360 versions). Here is the list:
Manager Mode General - Minimum full squad size of around 25. - More realistic league standings and results. - Create a new kit: increases sales but can only be done once every two years - Player form integration from Live Season affected by injury, performance, appearances, and consistency attribute. Form could be worked out by finding the average of the past three match ratings. - Actually create a manager that you can see during the game. - UEFA Champions League licence with the logo as a transition - Manage a national team Season Progression - More friendly matches at the beginning of the season, arranging the usual four then choosing from a range of pre-season tours from around the world. - At the start of the season, you have an option to create a stadium with a certain budget. - When you upgrade your Stadium Manager, you get a certain budget devoted to adding to your stadium. - More League matches in Midweek and on Sundays. - Higher financial income (TV money, league money, money from several different sponsors). - More frequent minor injuries (flu, stomach bug, ear infections, etc.) - Day-by-day option, especially in the transfer window - 7-day training schedule, with the option to get involved though mini-games and practices. - More realistic player growth – growth in spurts depending on form (higher form, faster growth). Players shouldn’t get to ridiculously high ratings as their peaks. - Release players at any stage of the season - Job offers throughout the season, including from international teams - More multiple-choice questions - Edit kit numbers - Cup replays, then extra time and penalties - If a smaller team beats a much bigger team the fans can run onto the pitch and celebrate with the players. Scouting and Transfers - More Scouting from the AI - Reserve squad (optional to manage) - Player Shortlist - AI make more transfers - AI make more realistic transfers - Ability to offer players in transfer deals - Form affects a player’s value - Trial mode (would be similar to the training mode but you could test out a player before completing the signing). - Be able to request money from the board for players, and they give you it depending on their expectations, size of the club, or price/popularity of the player. - When selling, set an asking price for a player. - After a player is bought, you see a photo of him wearing your club’s shirt in a newspaper or something. - Players with low morale hand in transfer requests. Statistics - Be able to see league standings, top scorers, etc. from other leagues. - At the end of the season, you could reward a player of the year award to any one player in your squad (it could effect team chemistry if it’s a bad decision). - If you get sacked half way through the season, then your next job is half way through the season. - Individual player pages, showing their information and historical statistics such as a growth chart and goals/assists. - A team statistics page showing a league position chart, trophies won, etc. In-game - Seasonal and Regional Weather. - Be able to see other match results/scores at half time. - Louder crowds for more important games - A, B, and C team sets (Where you can choose three different sets of line-ups and tactics, similar to how Man Utd can use 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1, or 4-3-3 based systems against different teams). End of Season - Team and player of the year awards - Season highlights video showing match results, progression of league table, edited highlights of your favourite games, and trophy celebrations. This could be saved externally. - Longer trophy celebrations Online - Online player scouting – a huge database of young talents is made available online. You could browse through it at the cost of ‘virtual money per minute’ and download and ‘buy’ players from the database. You could also make requests to EA for new young talents to be added if you know of any - Choose to play games against real people online - this would make Manager Mode more exciting and unpredictable as the other team can perform really well or really badly. The person you play against would be someone who selects ‘random game’ in online mode and participates in someone else’s Manager Mode. - AND EVERYTHING THAT THE CURRENT-GEN MM DOES. Gameplay - Stricter Unbiased Refs - Short-Term and Long-Term Energy Bars - Increase effect of Energy on attributes - More Frequent Backheel Passes - Player Temper Meter - Less frequent pressure from CPU - More frequent use of stronger foot for some players - Opponent reaction to skills - Call up the keeper when losing - Set Pieces: Decide where certain players make runs, who goes up, who takes it, and assign it to the d-pad. You could therefore have up to four different set-pieces for each area of the pitch, and you could test them in a practice mode. - Players dive in front of a ball if a shot is taken in a crowded penalty area. - Control the keeper - Tell players to warm up and see them warming up. See the 4th official. - Diversity in running animations - Choose where to take the goal kick from, can get booked if you waste too much time. - More handballs. - Real-time throw-ins, and corner kicks without cutscenes. Arena - Play as Goalkeeper - A full team warm-up before the game - show off skills, practice shooting and passing, talk tactics – (even better before a 10 vs 10 game online). - See the stadium filling up as the game loads - More camera angles - Minigames Other - Stadium Creator - Photo Face - Save Replays to HDD - Variety in pitch sizes for different stadiums - Play music from your HDD - After goals show scoreline and goalscorers at the bottom of the screen. - Integrate views of the outside of the stadium from a blimp before kick-off if possible. - Achievement and Trophy integration - Create a Club feature - Cutscenes of fans reacting to goals scored and conceded, bookings, offsides, penalties etc. - In team management or before matches be able to see the players top 10 attributes and compare them with other players just by selecting one player and hovering over the rest. - Edit player’s faces and share them online (people rate them out of 5 star) For the future - TV company sponsors such as Sky Sports - Enhance commentary - Enhance graphics including facial expressions - Commentators mention: players form, milestones, league positions before and after match, birthdays, job pressure. - More stadiums and leagues, especially Argentina and Russia. - Improve lighting effects - clouds, sunset, change in weather, seasons - In-game advertising - 5-a-side mode. Player Trademarks - Different Dribbling Styles for different players - Unique Skill Moves - Unique Free Kicks - Unique Celebrations - Enhanced Juggling - Unique Heading/Shooting Styles - No-look Passes - Lift the Ball over Players though Juggling - Unique Penalty Styles - Unique celebrations, including being able to walk and different celebrations for different types of goals (winner, equaliser, consolation) Online - Fantasy XI – three different leagues with three different amounts of points to spend (you can participate in all three if you want). Each player would be worth their average rating in points, as live season wouldn’t affect it. - Replay Centre - Rating and Goal of the Week/Month/Year - Rematch - FIFA 09 Clubs - dressing room at half time. Be A Pro - Play a whole in-depth career - Be on the bench and get told to warm up by the manager / request to be subbed on. - More transfers Atmosphere - Coin toss before kick-off- Not all crowds sit down - Regionalised sounds - Download Team Chants Downloads/Uploads - Songs and Chants - Scouted Players - Replays - Arena Tutorials and Mini-games - Real-Life Highlights - Menu Styles and Backgrounds - Stadium Packs |

since you joined? that's just a copy of R00neys post in the feedback forum. Great idea's though.
Net styles - also very good idea. drooping style nets would increase the realism of playing at lower league's stadiums in the Cup.

I would love to be able to move the players around with the d-pad, the analog stick is rubbish, maybe have an option to choose.
would love to see the aiming arrow back for free kicks and corners so you know just where your aiming. player should be able to move, cut and turn whilst sprinting, its so unrealistic the way it is right now. when in a title race or relegation battle you should get updates about the teams game around you. in management mode, you should be able to "talk" to as many players in one go instead of having a set amount. you should be able to do off season transactions and duties. i don't like the way it is in 09 where your first chance to improve comes before your first game meaning that any new players come in for the second game of the season. before you bring on a sub you should be able to send them out on a warm up, i know in the scheme of things this doesn't really matter but it would look realistic. better crowd reactions and animations, also would be nice to hear some realistic songs, i.e. when at liverpool you're never walk alone is sang. ronaldo should get boo'd just for being ronaldo mangers and assistance on the sideline, with animations. would also be cool to see each manager act like they do so if i'm playing as sheffield wednesday brian laws is always stood in his technical area whereas say wenger would be sat down. if the coms are talking about something i.e. the stadium or a player and something happens like a good or bad tackle they should go back to saying what they was before the incident. more stadiums, both real and made up and an option to create or place a stadium to a team so they stadium a team plays in is more like there proper stadium. whilst mentioning stadiums make every teams stadium available either straight out the box or via downloads, either at a small fee or for free or a mixture of both, maybe doing a special pack like the adidas stat update. a little cut scene for new signings would be good or a better picture on the paper for the player you signed. player, club and manager creator and make them much more in depth the ability to create new kits. when you sign up with a new sponsor it should be for more then one year and have proper companies available. also there should be the added option for shirt sponsors so if your current shirt sponsor is sony after x amount of years the sponsorship runs out and you can choose your next short sponsor. so man utd can go from AIG to insert company here. i would love to see pre and post match cut scenes with a hand over to and from the coms. make playing the game feel more realistic, make ea sports the tv station with on screen stats and graphics. new calls from the coms and would be cool to have a sideline reporter that can tell you about injuries to your players and any other information that can be added, however not have this done in a way that you hear the same sound bites every time. weather needs to be sorted out. it would be nice to have it start raining during the game but this doesn't happen in every game. games are played at the correct time of day so english games start at 3pm and then you ca add in a feature that makes the surrounds change as to the time, i.e. in winter it gets dark during the game. also have games in the afternoon and evening. ea sports featured game, this is something i think would be cool in the realistic presentation. plus its a way that you could get more money in manager mode. i can't think of any more right now, but theses are some of the things i'd like to see

How about when a game is over, players trade shirts or when you win a a big important game you throw your shirt to the fans.
Or being able to do the Scorpion kick. About the Anger Meter someone said that they could do alot of tackles to Wayne Rooney and that he will get mad and be Red Carded. Well it will be better if lets say they make alot of tackles to W.R., he will only get mad if they don't mark the foul and if he gets the foul the player who tackled will get mad and start arguing with the ref.
