Default I got schooled!!!!!!!!

I played this guy online (Ps3) who pretty much made me look like a real idiot lol! He beat me 4-1....doesn't sound like a thrashing but believe me it was. His goals were pretty much triple taps....but it was the stuff that he was doing in general play that left me for dead.

Basically he was doing lots of fake kicks and stepping another direction....as well as little foot jinks before going into another direction. I have tried doing these myself a long time ago but didn't think it was that effective....obviously I was very wrong.

Anyway...does anyone know how to use these EFFECTIVELY????

Default Practice, but you don't need tricks!

Practice makes perfect, but it's so great to beat someone who looks flashy by old fashioned passing, tackling and wing play. I need to learn a few more moves, but apart from moving around the pitch all I use is the following:
Shoot, Lob/Cross, Pass, Through ball.
Sprint(R2), Tackle (L2), Change controled player (L1).

I need to learn to Stop, Tap the ball forwards and Chip shot. And I'd probably be better if I could use the right joystick more, but I'm moving up the ranks and play pretty well - I rarely get thrashed (in outfield play, or goals conceeded).

I've seen step overs, 360's, fake shots and just tackled the guy. I've tried Precision shot (R1) and it makes no difference.

I'm on PS3 Duaine, and it looks like you're on XBox360. And you may well show me up, but it won't be because of tricks, it'll be because you're good at the game, and you have quick reactions. I'm getting better all the time but there's no way I could beat the top players yet, but the good thing about FIFA 08 is that you win by playing good football and having good anticipation. You can tackle any guy who's doing a trick - if you time it right.
