In this example I like PES a lot more than FIFA.
Fifa has 1000 tricks you can do, from double step overs to body fakes. But why doesnt anyone use them? Right now I am trying to learn how to use them in a game. Beacuse its actually rare to go through an entire game and not see a couple of skill moves in real life. I grow tired of the sprint down the sidelines type of game. But the problem I am finding is that it simply takes to long to do some of the moves. When you are playing the CPU you most likely have about 2 seconds before you get tackled...also the CPU doesnt ever seem to fall for any skill moves anyway. Maybe I am just not good at them yet. But when in real life when Ronaldo starts doing step overs most defenders freeze and wait to recover. But in the game the CPU players just bull rush into you and take the ball. Any tips on preforming tricks in game? Also any links to tricks being preformed in game? |

If the move sequence to trigger them wasn't based on the direction you're facing I might use them occasionally. I don't want to have to think about what I need to do to pull off a move, it's distracting.

Yeah, that is another problem. Like I said this is the one thing I like in PES better than Fifa. I would much rather press L1 twice and preform a step over than fiddle with holding a trigger and trying to rotate the analog stick just right.
And what you just said is one of the problems I am running into a lot. I want to do a step over but I just happen to be faced slighty right instead of forward so the game makes me do some crazy body fake or something. But again, I can barely get anything off because the CPU just bashes right into my guy and takes the ball. |

Too many trick's in this game already, we want real football and doing 1000 tricks is not real football, we need focus on the gameplay not tricks.
Fifa Street on the other hand you will see tricks galore.

What are you even talking about?
I have yet to see a single person online beside my self even attempt to do any tricks. The Cpu never does any tricks. Also, last time I checked there were a good about of tricks that real footballers do in pretty much every game. I mean isnt that was separates Robinho from other people or Ronaldo? If you even consider things like step overs a trick. Would you rather have the endless sprint down the sideline tactics that 98% of every so called Fifa player does? Sorry good sir I have had my fill off Barca down the sidelines for a cross. Hell if you are going to pick Barca at the very least you should do something other than sprint around. But that is beside the point. There are endless videos on youtube that suggest the top footballers should be doing some sort of advanced moves. You sir...I just mad. if i had any idea what i was doing then i would use the tricks more often. the only one i know is just a side step. sometimes you wiggle the stick and your not entirely sure which trick the player is going to make, sending you completley in the wrong direction.
