Default 5v5 Update Change Log

I have just received what changes took place in the 5v5 NG update.

Quote:
Creating and delivering the OTP Update took a huge amount of work on the part of the dev team who really believed they could release the new feature for FIFA 08 even after the launch of the game. During all this hard work they found some time to optimise some other areas of the game after reading feedback from the community. Enclosed is the list of issues we were able to fix in the launch of the 5v5 Online Team Play update.
  • Fixed rare Ps3 loading crash and/or infinite load.
  • FC Toronto is now referred to correctly as Toronto FC.
  • Fixed rare issue where player would lose control of free roam player and/or control free roam player from jumbotron view during online loading.
  • Fixed issue where user would be prompted and forced to download squad files every time they attempted to play an online game if they had changed the arena player.
  • Reduced CPU free kick ability slightly in lower difficulties.

Thank you for posting!

I wish they fixed some more bugs like player-switching sometimes not working aso.

Yesterday I played an online match and my friend and me noticed we had different players of the match each time...

That's the whole list of changes? Nothing else at all was tweaked? Quite strange.

EA confirmed a gameplay tweak, even if that's the only thing they tweaked gameplay wise it still doesn't mean you were right either.

I stand corrected....but i knew the free kick deal had been sorted out...
So i guess im only mildly lalalalalalaed...
So hey EA....lets tweak the other gameplay issues...
I'd hate to spend more time playing COD 4 than FIFA08....
As a side note to football fans residing in the USofA;
Check out premier league fan zone on Fox Soccer Channel; The show has commentary from fans of the two teams that are actually playing, it is very entertaining....Last night some fella claimed that Lampard is garbage and that Stevie G couldn't possibly lead the english national team....

Whatever you say mate...Tweaking free kicks is not a tweak in gameplay. The "smoother gameplay, better framerate, smarter AI" tweaks that everyone was ranting about was simply a figment of everyone's imagination.

I won't say I told you so, but....

Is there a link where you can download this for a disc, or is it just a Live/PSN Update.

I am very happy to see a list of the updated things in fifa.

However I am still VERY concerned over the poor one sided refereeing in this game! I rarely get fouled and I am tackled off the ball constantly! This must be fixed.

EA please create a second patch to balance this part of the game.

If possible could you make shooting free kicks a bit more consistent as well.

I hope others will add to this thread as well.

I wouldn't consider set pieces part of the gameplay that others were talking about ie the REST of my above post (The "smoother gameplay, better framerate, smarter AI" tweaks that everyone was ranting about...) If you really think you're right, please stop posting, because I've made my point and I'm sticking to it...Not to mention I'm sick of making you look 12 not 35...You whine worse than my 3 year old...KTHXBYE...

Perhaps you should have done something about him when he was aggressively shooting down anyone's comments with his arrogant, condescending manner. Perhaps if we didn't wait have to wait six weeks for the answer to a simple question a lot of unpleasantness could have been avoided.

Took a while to actually tell us. So I can safely change my arena player now? Excellent so sick of Ronaldinho.

You need to be connected to LIVE/PSN, which will prompt you to download the update when you load up FIFA.

Is that all???? There is still that glitch on the 360 when you try to join or host a 5v5 match, it kicks you out saying "A team has left blah blah blah". Also if I get through, right after we choose our positions the game freezes. FIX THAT!
