I cant remember his starting, but definately look at getting Bojan as ST.

I was United for 2 seasons, signed him during the first, and the lad just seemed to get goals for me.

Dude, this list dosen't look great. Some of them suck (Gourcuff ain't great, for one), most of these players are uber expensive (Kaka, Rooney, Messi) and there are names on there multiple times (Fabregas, Pique, Ustari, Bale). I want this list to be solid info, not one huge cut & paste job.

Bojan is a great striker once you give him a run in the side. He's my top scorer this season so far with 27 goals

Buy him first thing and play him for the most part of the season (as in every game unless he has below 1/2 fatgiue) and he should be pushing 80 by the end. He's not the strongest at 16 though, so it's good to pair him with a heavier striker, like Heskey or Koller.

Do you mean pretty good players or only ones with elite growth . One you havent mentioned is the Lyon duo of Ben Arfa and BENZEMA
this guy is pure class

Gourcuff is actually good, he can play anywhere in the midfield and wings, and has a really good stat for Penalties.

Also get Kasper Schmeichal for GK from Man City...the kid is amazing after a season or two.

Here's the young players on my Porto side, about to finish second season:

Defence: Torres (22) Drenthe (21)

Midfield: Gourcuff (22) Manuel Fernandes (22) Denilson (20) Kerlon (20) Leandro Lima (21)
Forwards: Rossi (21) Bojan (1 Walcott (19)

I'm also planning on getting Helder Barbosa from Academica, and maybe Giovanni Dos Santos.

Maybe it wasn't Gourcuff I was thinking of. Just some young midfielder at AC. And that's a pretty good team. I just assembled mine with team transfers, put them all to Palermo (pink kit! ).
Ustari
Alves, Naldo, Mertesacker, Ramos
Ribery, Van Der Vaart, Silva, Quaresma
Jesus Navas, Fred.

All under 25. At least my list helped me...

I think these players are worth a mention. Their growth rate is nothing like Messi, Bojan, Pato but are still very very good

Ben Arfa (CF) - 76 grows to 90+
K. Benzema (ST) - 80 grows to 90+ pure class

For bargain hunters.

Lulinha (CAM) - 74 grows to 90+ this guy is the future of brazil
T Kroos (CAM) - 74 grows to 85+, this guy meant to be future of germany
B. Sahar (ST) - 66 grows to 85+
Altidore (ST) - 77 grows to 85+
Patrik (ST) - 71 grows to 85+

btw did you change your thread i thought u wanted under 21s?

U21 was really restrictive, and I realised that if a player is 24 he will probably not retire in Season 10, so it was not as vital for the player to be young. What positions do these guys play in? Thanks for the names anyway.

I actually prefered U21 because once you get older they get pretty expensive.

Oh I edited my oringial post with posiitons. You might want to look at also
Marcello and Castro as defenders

You really must add Lulinha this guy is veyr very popular for his price

I didnt think Reyes and Robben were that good in FIFA09. Robihno is about the same as Robben IMO
