so keepers still cant save a single shot

11 games into my coop season ( be a pro) 24 attempts from my team, 1 goal.
11 attempts from the ai opponents, 11 goals.
how the hell are you supposed to play this game, the keepers are if anything even less usefull than in 07 where in a year of playing i did see my goalie make some 4 saves or so.
yet to see a goalie in o8 attempt to stop a single bloody shot.

what is the point.
besides im so damn slow its impossible to get past anyone. and the same old problem of me getting to the ball first and the ai using magik to clear it, still persists

and just how out of date are the rosters ? there is no way they were done last month.

i was hoping that finally a goalie on world class may stop a AI shot. its not possible setting world class keepers just means you cant score. doesnt stop every single sodding ai shot going in tho.

very dissapointing.

lol. I love the anger through-out this post. what difficulty you on mate?

the shot mechanic works under pressure, get a defender to man-mark dangerous strikers so if they get a clear view, there's a defender pressuring him to make the strike less accurate. that's all good.

i'm waiting for this game to try out myself.

Personally I WILL LOVE THE CHALLENGE! why should my keeper save lots of shots? I don't wanna win loads of games after 1 day of owning it damnit.

even with Grimsby I've lost 5 out of 5 games, due to 6 shots, out of 6 going in.

how would my ability to play in midfield effect the fact that 100% of shots on target are allowed in by the AI goalie on my team. whilst all AI goalies on the opposition team can make superhuman saves?

as for the next gen version its dire. but then i know that because i can afford to buy them, and play them, comes with being smart enough to get a job [Removed]

quite easily. Get your defense tighter to the stikers, thus putting pressure on them and so their shot will be alot less accurate....?

Also the NG version is better than current gen, its the same game for about 4 years....fifa 04 with updated shirts.

and no he shouldn't stop loads but why cant he stop any

that is the problem, I'm not exaggerating either, never seen a single shot stopped yet.

If a AI goalie can stop 40 shots a game, you would think that maybe in 40 games you would see your goalie maybe stop one ? well I'm near enough 40 games so will find out soon.

Still like i said this is on be a pro mode, I'm not controlling the whole team, just 1 person.
when i control the whole team the computer doesn't get the chance to take more than 1 shot a match. and then its under pressure.

I haven't played this game, but it sounds like that GK are much worse than 'FIFA 07'. 1 of the few things I hate in 'FIFA 07' is the keeper isn't reliable, no matter how good their stats/attributes are, they're terrible & leak in the most softest goals. What's even worse is they're only rubbish when they're on your team, but if it's on another squad, they turn out to be the best GK's in the game...

Defence is almost the same ('FIFA 07'), assign them to mark a player, they literally let them roam free, & run mighty slow even though their stats state their best attribute is pace & acceleration. Hopefully 'FIFA 08' will improve that...

Lol i forgot i ever posted this, for over a year i still avaraged no saves ever, while the opponent made 23, average, per game..

took me a while to realise the collision detection was to blame my goalie had to touch balls to stop them, theyres did not.

fifa 08 ? lol, i thought i posted this about 09. nice to see it took them 2 versions to add real goalkeepers to the game
