3 IN 3 OUT !

Preston North End today have announced 3 summer target's
Brian Mcbride from Fulham Aged 25 was expecting to sign for the Lilly whites at a fee of £298,000 on a 2 year deal to help Preston's promotion push.

PNE are also trying to sign Brazilian youngster Kerlon from Cruzeiro for a total of £690,000 on a 3 year deal. Kerlon is known for his seal dribble, he heads the ball while running at pace past defenders.

Preston have also made a bid for T.De Mul of sevilla on a long year loan. De.Mul can play on the left or right wing and has a good pace and a good touch.

All teams have yet to respond but Irvine is hopefull that he will get his targets before the start of the summer

Irvine announced that 3 players will be leaving Deepdale this summer to raise cash for the new signings
G.Szamotullski , K.Hawey and Lewis Neal.



Reports belive that these are the 3 bad apples at the club and are causing arguments in the changing rooms. Irvine insisted these players will leave deepdale this summer.

Preston North End Vs Coventry City

The whistle blew and the match kicked off PNE had a good start with a Neil Mellor strike just whizzing past the post, Coventry looked strong at the back, closing down both wingers Simon Whaley and Richard Chaplow. Most of the Coventry players where wearing gloves as it was a cold and dark night at Deepdale.

It was a quiet match with both set off fans sat in there plastic chairs nibbling at there pie's. Coventry had an attack but new full back Wallace tackled McKenzie with eaze as the light weighted player stumbled over. Preston was on the break with a quick one two from wallace and chaplow, the pace was getting faster as Ward slid into a tackle but got nothing as the skillfull winger Chaplow shimmyed the dangerous tackle. Chaplow smashed the ball accross the ball, it was a fantastic cross but unforunately nothing came out of it.

It was getting onto the 30th minute when Carter whacked a great first time shot to make coventry keeper Konstantopoulous force a great diving save.
The time passed on and the whistle blew for Half time Irvine had some hard work to do at half time.

Both set of players came out fresh and ready as the 2nd half began. Mifsud made a great chance by pretending to shot and set Tabb dont the wing to cross a deadly ball in towards the head of McKenzie, he couldnt clim high enough as St Ledger cleared for a throw in.

The drummer came into action and set the fans alive with his loud racket.This also must of got the PNE players going as they was on the counter attack with Omerod up top a beautiful through ball saw Mellor chasing a delightfull ball towards the corner flag. Wallace sprinted into the action calling for the ball, the on loan Sunderland man shot a powerful strike from 20 yards out into the bottom right corner.

The fans went wild !!!!!!! as it was getting on to 80th minute chants off "We can see you sneaking out was echoing around the stadium as the dissapointed City fans stumbled off to the coaches.

It was the 90th minute and PNE celebrated there 1st win of the season one crazy fan ran on the pitch to congratulate the young Sunderland man but soon got rugby tackled by a 7 foot steward.

We caught up with Irvine after the game he was joined with Wallace and Captain Mckenna.

Interviwer: That was close win but none the less a wins a win.

Irvine: My boys showed how worthy they are by breaking down a strong Coventry team, thanks to my man Wallace we got our first win of the season.

Interviwer: So Wallace.... how did you do it?

Wallace: Well... you know i just hit it right and it went in i guess...

Interviwer: Congratulations on the win hope you can repeat that next match

Irvine: Thanks ! yeah we got a tough match away to Southampton.

Irvine gets 2 of his wishes

Irvine was set to sign 3 players this evening, Kerlon has arrived at Deepdale for £600,000 on a 3 year deal to keep him here to 2011 and De Mull arrives from sevilla fit and ready to play both players will be available for Saturday's match against the Saints.

Fulham have held the McBride bid until they sign Johson from Everton the negotiator told PNE they will only let him go when Johnson is permantly at The Cottage.
