The Season is Far View ![]() The season is nearing for Guus Hiddink and his star studded side of Feyenoord Rotterda squad and with the likes of De Guzman and Roy Makaay the Das Phantom.Feyenoord look to end Ajax's dominance in dutch football.Hiddink will add the touch of a professional as he leads the team for their first match match of the season. many fancy Ajax or PSV to dominate but despite recent performance of Feyenoord over the past few years has gone down,This year it could be the opposite with Guus Hiddink at the helm. With a more attacking type of football infused in the team,Roy Makaay will be the man to lead the team against the super-Giants in Holland. Feyenoord have also claimed reports that they will have talks with Arsene Wenger over the future of Robin Van Persie. The dutchman will provide the vital partnership with Makaay at the top of the strikeforce and will be deadly for Ajax and PSV. "We are in a good position to be in the title contention for a Champions League spot.It is something which we will make it happen"-Makkay "If Persie joins nothing else would be needed for the team, a reguler supply of goals will come from Persie,I have known him from the days he spent in feyenoord"-De Guzman ---------------------------------------------- ![]() "Will He were the Jersy Gain?" He was quickly promoted into the first team due to injury problems among the squad, and made his debut for the club at seventeen, which was the first of fifteen total starts. He was awarded the KNVB Best Young Talent award at the end of the 2001–02 season.
He signed a professional three-and-a-half year deal with Feyenoord at the start of the next season, but clashes with manager Bert van Marwijk saw van Persie demoted to the reserve squad. During a 2003 match featuring the Feyenoord and Ajax reserves, he was one of several Feyenoord players assaulted by hooligans who had invaded the pitch. He finished the season with the first team, making a total of twenty-eight appearances and scoring eight goals, in addition to finishing as runner-up in the Dutch Cup. However, van Persie was sent home on the eve of the 2003 UEFASuper Cup final against Real Madrid by van Marwijk, who was reportedly displeased with van Persie's body language after being asked to warm up for a recent league game.

well, change the text to white, and I voted not to bring him back. #1, Feyenoord don't have the money #2. RvP, or anyone of that matter would leave Arsenal to return to Feyenoord. #3. If you're going to bring him back, bring him back when he's in his thirties. #4. It's just so unrealistic if you buy him now/

The Missing Pieces of the Puzzle Guus Hiddink made two shocking signings for the club after managing to get Robin Van Persie on loan from Arsenal and getting a direst purchase of Nigel De Jong. Both of them are considered the missing pieces of the puzzle to Feyenoord Rotterdam's sucess for the upcoming season.Vanpersie will act as a secondary striker and De Jong the deep lying forward as well as providing stability in the midfield. ![]() Nigel De Jong could play as a central midfielder and as well as a Right wing back.He was a significant member in the Hamburg squad and was selected to play in Euro 08 bu Marco Van Basten. He also played a full 90 minutes when Netherlands beat Holland 4-1.He began his career as a youth with Ajax Amsterdam and soon was on the bench,But he then signed for Hamburg after a good season with the club.He leaves Hamburg to return to his home country to play for the top 3 clubs,Feyenoord. "I always wanted to play for a big club and Feyenoord have ambitions, and with Guus Hiddink we can achive those ambitions. They are a good club". "He could be a great addition to the club sice Sahim is on the loan transfer list and De Jong will the perfect sub for him in the squad".-Hiddink The second addition to the club is the phenominal Robin Van Persie, who has joined Feyenoord on a one year loan from Arsenal. With Makaay and Van Persie at the top it could mean big trouble for Ajax and PSV.Van Persie began his career with SBV Exelcior's youth side but did not adjust with the coach and then he signed for Feyenoord where he was given first team action. He was named KNVB Player of the year in 2001/02. After suffering from abuse in the classic,Ajax vs Feyenoord matches and was close to have beeninjured fell out with the manager and he was unable to conyinie his contract and was then signed by Arsenal. In the year 2005 he was on the Gunners bench due to the presence of Thiery Henry. After Henry left he and Adebayor formed a good partnership. This continued until the summer of 2008 when he was signed on loan to Feyenoord from Arsenal after talks between the clubs were sucessful. ![]()
