When Juande Ramos, then coach of Sevilla, made the proposal to FIFA that they should implement a "ranking" system for the players of the world, the idea was laughed at and spat on.

But Ramos never gave up, and now that he has completed a move to Spurs, he has brought his old system and perfected it. Scouts have given players from over 30 leagues and 621 teams, or around 15,000 players a ranking in the overall system.

The leagues included in the package that Ramos sent to all the managers of the teams ranked included the following leagues:

Austrian Bundesliga
Belgian Jupiter League
Campeonato Brazileiro Seria A
Gambrinus League
Danish Superliga
English Premier League
English Championship
English League 1
English League 2
Ligue 1
Ligue 2
Bundesliga
