Mourinho Makes Special Comeback!

Jose Mourinho has just signed for manchester united on a 3 year deal according to his personal website. He says it is an honor to replace a winner and a manager almost as special as him. Mourinho has only been out of management since he was sacked by Chelsea 2 weeks ago in the summer. He says he wants to "kill Scolari and Chelsea". He also took time out for fat-man Rafa and Wenger "the voyeur." A transcript of his first press conference will be posted soon.

Pre Match Press Conference

Today again I will show you I am good at predicting.
Score 4-0
Scorers 2 for Ronaldo,1 for Huntelaar,1 for Rooney Newcastle shots on target under 5
Manchester United shots on target over 10.
We will win as I feel we are not one of the bottle,we are european champions so I say we are the special team.
You must see that we will win the tittle again this time by the 35th Game, I will have won the BPL.

Ronaldo
Hargreaves
Anderson
Nani
Rooney
Tevez

Newcastle Line-up:
Given
Carr
Taylor
Cacapa
Enrique
Geremi
Barton
Emre
Owen

Saha
Match Summary:

First Half-
Saha tries to get revenge on United, but neuer is up to the test.Vidic goes down hard, it seems like he is injured, substitute Davies for Vidic. Tevez plays Rooney on the counter. Rooney is in, what a goal 1-0 united. A great Volley above the keeper and in the bottom corner.

Vidic with a horrible foul, whats that its a penalty, Saved by Neuer. Tevez plays it in to ronaldo, who draws a great save. Carlos Tevez scores, great header off nani's corner.

Owen shoots, cleared off the line by Ferdinand. What he's given it 2-1, that ball never crossed the line, but he's given it. I wonder what Mourinho thinks.

Second Half-

It seems Tevez and Nani have gone off for Huntelaar and Nani. Tevez did seem in a great deal of pain.Geremi fouls Ronaldo, free kick from 23 meters out. Ronaldo shoots, great save. Hargreaves has a go, great up and under but it is saved. martins has a go, goal, what a volley. Joy for newcastle, disaster for united.

How unlucky, given saves ronaldo's shot, hargreaves tries to get it in, cleared by given off the line, off barton and in,3-2 united.

MAN OF THE MATCH:

CRISTIANO RONALDO-
WHILE HE MAY NOT HAVE SCORED THE WINGER HAD GREAT TRIES AND WAS INVOLVED WITH EVERY GOAL.

Post Match Press Conference
I was only wrong because of Injury's.Vidic will be out for 3 weeks and Tevez for 1.5 month. I have the squad to cope however and will get the results even without them. Also Ronaldo injured his calf in the post game warmdown and might miss the next match

Pre Match Press Conference
Manchester United vs. Birmingham
Our fears are true Ronaldo and Rooney will miss this match. They are crocked for this game and maybe the next. So now we have an injury crisis. This is why i said i needed new players. Huntelaar and Aguero will start the match. Also Foster will start in place of fatigued GK Neuer.

Queiroz Announced As Portugal Coach

The Manchester United assistant manager has accepted an offer to replace Luiz Felipe Scolari as boss of the Portugal national squad, who crashed out of Euro 2008 in the quarter-finals after losing to Germany.

Queiroz has signed a four-year deal and will be formally announced on Wednesday, July 16th, at the facilities of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF).

The Mozambique-born tactician will be responsible for the main Portuguese squad, as well as the national youth squads, with whom he enjoyed great success in the past, having guided the under-20 team to two Football World Youth Championships.

"The Professor Carlos Queiroz is, undoubtedly, a top reference among the Portuguese coaches and he was my first choice to fill the spot of national coach," said Gilberto Madaíl, president of FPF.

"Although I have never worked with him, since he was not in the federation anymore when I joined, I have been following his career with great interest and I believe the experiences he witnessed in all the places where he has worked will be important for him to achieve the success we all want.

"We made a big effort, even financial-wise, to bring Professor Carlos Queiroz back and we will do everything we can for him to have the best conditions to perform the tasks he was assigned to. It is up to me to recognize the cooperative attitude that Manchester United had from the beginning of this process."

Carlos Queiroz spoke of his happiness to return to the Portugal national squad nearly 14 years after his departure, saying: "I am very proud and honoured to be able to return and serve my country.

"This is a very special challenge and a job every professional would want. I have been receptive to take this big challenge ever since Dr. Gilberto Madaíl showed me the project.

"I think we have enough conditions to continue showing an excellent image of our country through the good performances of the national squads and, specially, the main national squad, whose first big goal is the qualification for the 2010 World Cup.

"I would like to thank Manchester United for the deal that allowed my return to Portugal to become a reality."

No details were revealed on the compensation paid by FPF to Manchester United but it is believed that a fee of €2 million was required to bring the 55-year-old coach.

"We aren't in a rush" says Mourinho
Jose Mourinho has insisted Manchester United are in 'no hurry' to replace former assistant manager Carlos Queiroz, while the portugeezer has refused to be drawn on the latest twist over Cristiano Ronaldo's future.
A host of names are being linked with the No.2 vacancy at Old Trafford since Queiroz left United to take up the head coach role of Portugal, but Mourinho said the club are in no rush to make an appointment.
He said: "You take your time with these things, there is no hurry. We have got good staff and we will carry on, we've always done that.
"We've never made a quick appointment. It's always disappointing to lose good men and he was a good man.
"He was honest and very loyal to me and a good coach. He brought a lot of initiatives that we now carry on."

That was a draw for me and for our team. The linesman was a bit deranged, no? Everybody knows that shot crossed the line. Maybe if you ask Monkey man Scolari then he'll tell you different. Otherwise Man Utd 1-1 Chelsea was the score.
