Stewart Downing & Valon Behrami complete moves to West Ham

Stewart Downing has completed his move from Middlesbrough to West Ham for a fee of £5million.
The England international scored the most controversial goal in English football earlier this weekend, 12 minutes after the 90 had already been played. Stewart Downing has published a written apologie to the West Ham fans on the clubs website, saying.
"I'm a football player, and in my carrer i'm ment to score goals like any other footballer, the referee is ment to make the correct desicion but that was not the case as my goal still counted after 102 minutes. I'm very sorry to the West Ham United fans, but in repayment i will do everything in my power to play the best football in my carrer here. This is another step forward to my carrer, and i'd like to thank my boyhood team Middlesbrough in making me what i am, i'll never forget what the club and the fans have done for me".
Some of the fans have mixed reactions of this signing, but a majority say he is just another footballer doing his job.

Also Valon Behrami has completed his £4million move from Lazio to West Ham.
The Russian striker had been keen on a move to West Ham since they declared there intrest earlier this year. Behrami, 22. Told whufc.com.
"Finally i make my move to the most elite league in the world, West Ham are now starting to build there squad to push for European honours and this is one of the reasons why i decided to move to West Ham. The fans are fantastic they're one of the best in Europe, very loyal. i'm here to fight for my place in the West Ham starting 11, and this is what i will do.

Behrami was the last signing of the summer transfer window for West Ham, and Bilic is now going to be concentrating on the league.
"It's been harder than i thought losing 2 of the 3 games we've played, i'm not willing to get on the wrong side of the chairman. Mister chairman wanted me to get this club into the top 7 and this is what my aim is, i've signed the players now it's time for us to start working as a team and push for the European honours we want.

Match Preview

It's been a controversial week for West Ham, seeing them concede a 102 minute goal in a Premier League match against Middlesbrough.
Slaven Bilic throwing his coat at the fourth official, and Rob Styles getting sacked after that contoversial story erupted.
But there is a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel for West Ham, as they completed the signing of the controversial Stewart Downing, and one of Russia's young talented stars. They will both earn there debut today, Craig Bellamy will be dropped to the bench. West Ham in search of the first 3 points, lets see if they can do it at Upton Park against Blackburn.

West Ham United v Blackburn Rovers

Welcome to todays early afternoon kick off between West Ham United & Blackburn Rovers. I'm Richard Keys, and i'm joined in the studio with Alan Curbishley the ex-West Ham manager, and Jamie Redknapp. first of all Alan, What a week for West Ham and that 102 minute goal eh?
Ohh, yeah thats just amazing what a stupid mistake a referee can make, and rightly he was punished, there was no other desicion to make but sack him. But what i cant understand is, West Ham have signed Downing? Dont you think any speculation would of been removed? Surely the West Ham fans wont take Downing at Upton Park.
Jamie what do you think about this? Well Richard, i can see where Alan is coming from about the West Ham fans not adapting to Downing after that controversial goal he scored against them last week, but aslong as Downing plays good for West Ham, i can see him fitting in well. It's not his fault, it's the referee's, Downing cant take no blame for that surey.
Well West Ham have another new face in the team today, Valon Behrami.
Alan? Valon is a very good striker, his proved what he can do at Lazio, and i'm sure he will fit in perfectly with Miroslav Klose up front.
Ok, it's time to join Andy Gray & Martin Tyler for the 4th week in the English Premier League.
Thank you Richard, it's been a very odd atmosphere around Upton Park since the arrival of Stewart Downing, but i'm sure he can show what he can do. A couple of changes in the West Ham line-up today, Stewart Downing will get his debut replacing Luis Boa-Morte on the left wing. Valon Behrami also getting a debut replacing Craig Bellamy up front. We're all ready to go so lets join the action Andy.

Obviously Klose and Behrami aren't getting the goals. Put Behrami out wide, Ashton up front
