Scolari has got Chelsea back on track in the EPL winning the match right at the death at White hart Line vs Spurs.
Scolari made three changes to the side that drew Newastle at St. James' park last Saturday. Ballack started on the bench making way for Obi- Mikel, Deco made way for Riquelme, Drogba started on the bench, and Lampard took his place. The game was boring for the first 60 minutes, the only notable thing was a Riquelme freekick saved by Paul Robsinson on 47 minutes. The game finally produced a goal on 70 minutes, Aaron Lennon slotted cooly past Petr Cech, and Chelsea were looking like repeating their poor form. But just three minutes later, Chelsea were level, a great Riquelme through ball found Lampard in on goal and he slotted it into the the top corner. There were chances back and forth, on 91 minutes Riquelme hit the bar with a header from a Malouda cross. And another Malouda cross in the 93rd minute found Lampard, who headed it past Paul Robinson to win the game for Chelsea 2-1. Lampard once again was the hero for Chelsea. Chelsea 2-1 Tottenham

Chelsea have come from a goal down at Stamford Bridge to beat Everton 4-1.
Chelsea's squad was similar to the one that beat Tottenham last week:3-5-2 Cech Terry Alex Carvalho Malouda Ballack Essien Joe Cole Deco Lukas Podolski Didier Drogba However after just five minutes, Scolari's team was behind, a Johnson goal one on one with Cech. But Everton seemed to throw the game away on 33 minutes when an unnecessary Yobo tackle on Deco gave a penalty to Chelsea and Yobo a red card. Drogba sent Tim Howard the wrong way. 1-1 and the two teams were level at half time. On 55 minutes, a Ballack full volley forced the best out of Howard, tipped over the bar. The game went quiet for 20 minutes until Scolari took Deco off and replaced him with Riquelme. Malouda took a throw-in to Riquelme on the next play. And he dribbled three defenders to slot it into the top corner past Howard. His first involvement, his first goal of the game. Riquelme took a corner on 81 minutes, and found Podolski who headed it into the back of the net. And finally on 90 minutes, Podolski returned the favour, crossing from the by-line to Riquelme at the far post who from point blank range volleyed home to get his second and Chelsea's fourth. And that's how it finished, a de-moralising defeat for Everton and a great performance from Riquelme. Riquelme:"Well I am very pleased as Deco was to surprise those who doubted me and how I would perform in the EPL". Chelsea 4-1 Everton

Chelsea have edged out Aston Villa at Villa park. Winning with a fifty-second minute strike from Michael Ballack in a game marred by its defensiveness by both teams:
The game was tight for the first half with only one major event, a huge blow to Chelsea as winger Joe Cole was injured on 30 minutes, replaced by Deco. The resulting Riquelme freekick forced a great save. In the 51st minute, Chelsea nearly took the lead, Lukas Podolski's 1v1 was saved by the Villa keeper. The resulting Drogba corner was volley into the top corner by Michael Ballack, one of the few goals he has scored this season. For the rest of the game neither team created any chances and it finished at Villa Park: Aston Villa 0-1 Chelsea Joe Cole is expected to return in mid October.

Chelsea continued their winning form against West Ham last night at Upton park: Scolari made just one change to the side that beat Villa last week, Deco replaced the injured Joe Cole on the wing.
West Ham started the better, Kieran Dyer denied by a tremendous save one on one from Petr Cech in the 21st minute. On 42 minutes Chelsea created their first chance, a great run from Lampard got him one on one with Green who saved his shot, an unmarked Ballack was not impressed with Lampard's selfishness. In the 72nd minute the deadlock was finally broken, a Malouda cross led to a goal mouth scramble and eventually it was turned in by Lampard, deflected in off the line by Anton Ferdinand. Lampard struck again when an Essien pass found him one on one with Green again and this time he slotted it home. West Ham pulled one back though. A Parker cross found Camara in stoppage time who headed it pas Cech to make it 2-1. But it wasn't enough. Chelsea ran out 2-1 winners. West Ham 1-2 Chelsea

Chelsea F.C are considering the sale of striker Didier Drogba in the January transfer period.
Drogba has netted only once this season. From the penalty spot. Scolari issued a statement claiming that Drogba's future was uncertain and that a transfer to Liverpool or Real was likely. Drogba claims he wishes to stay at Chelsea.

Scolari did not offer a squad of top players to play Wycombe last night at Stamford bridge.
Instead it was the reserves who got their chance at making a name for themselves. The squad: Cudicini Belletti Ben Haim Cole Ballack makelele Essien Sean Wright-Phillips Obi-Mikel Anelka Shevchenko After just eight minutes. The reserves had the lead. Anelka netting to the left of the keeper. Chelsea decided they would show how good they were. Taking long shots for 20 minutes before Essien found the top corner with a forty yard drive. Chelsea then found trouble almost conceding from a free-kick on thirty five minutes. The rest of the first half was uneventful. On 74 minutes Chelsea finished the job. An Essien corner found Sean Wright- Phillips at the far post who headed it home to make it 3-0. The victory marked progress in the competition for Chelsea. Wycombe, as expected were ousted from the competition. Chelsea 3-0 Wycombe

In terms of a squad Chelsea's was a mixed bag:
Cech Alex Ben Haim Carvalho Phillips Ballack Lampard Belletti Malouda Shevchenko Anelka It took 10 minutes for that team to score... A Lampard corner found Anelka at the near post who tapped it home. The game was a bore otherwise. Cech was forced into an amazing save on 87 minutes 1v1 with Brian McFadden. The game was as entertaining as this post was long... ![]() Chelsea 1-0 Birmingham

Chelsea go into this afternoon's match against Liverpool in high spirits despite the recent injury to Joe Cole.
Scolari has offered a full strength side. Including star striker Lampard and playmaker Riquelme. Podolski joins Lampard up front. Drogba stayed on the bench, with his Chelsea future in doubt. Having netted once in the season so far. A confident Lampard said last night: " I think that we can win this match comfortably so long as we don't get distracted" Chelsea are undefeated this season in first on the ladder followed by UNited 4 points behind. A win would see Chelsea seven points clear. Essien: " If we can win this then we will be more confident for playing Arsenal and more importantly winning the title." BETS OPEN FOR LIVERPOOL MATCH...

Teams
Chelsea: Liverpool Cech :Reina Terry :Finnan Alex :Carragher Carvalho :Agger Malouda :Aurelio Ballack :Pennant Essien :Gerrard Deco: Xabi Alonso Riquelme :Kewell Podolski :Torres Lampard :Babel Chelsea knew that a win would put them seven points clear at the top of the table. But away against Liverpool was not going to be easy. They didn't get off to the best start either. An Alonso corner found Gerrard on the edge of the box whom volleyed a perfect shot into the posting stamp to make it 1-0 with just 9 minutes played. Chelsea came close on 16 minutes. A Riquelme through ball found Podolski whose volley beat Reina but also the far post. Chelsea gained momentum however. A pointless foul from Gerrard on Podolski in the penalty area turned him into a villian. He was yellow carded. Up stepped Riquelme. Reina went right Riquelme chipped it right down the middle to make it 1-1 on 26 minutes. The rest of the half passed unevetfully apart from a Kewell handball in the box not being given. (44 minutes) In the second half Liverpool came out firing. On forty-nine minutes a Gerrard freekick from halfway found Torres whose volley clipped the post but stayed out. Five minutes later Gerrard should've gotten his second. His chip over Cech was cleared off the line by Carvalho. On 66 minutes Chelsea decided to counter attack from the Livepool onslaught. A Riquelme played a magnificent aerial thru ball to Frank Lampard who slid the ball in mid-air. Reina got a touch but not enough. It bounced off the post and in, making it 2-1 to Chelsea with 24 minutes to play. Torres was given a great chance to level it for Liverpool on 70 minutes. Having passed Cech he had only Alex on the line. His shot from five yards was charged down by a brilliant Alex. Earning the praise of his team. A Riquelme shot from 40 yards almost made a mickey of Reina. Rooted to the spot saw Riquelme's shot hit the bar and bounce up of the ground where Agger headed it away (76 minutes) Scolari made two changes on 86 minutes Bringing on Shevchenko for Podolski and Obi-mikel for Michael Ballack. Liverpool had a last minute corner in stoppage time where Reina was brought forward. The Gerrard corner was volleyed by Kuyt but it turned out to be a wayward shot. Cleared by the head of Deco. Kewell tried one last longshot but it cleared the crossbar. Leaving Cech to take the goal kick that ended the game. A good win for Chelsea over Liverpool 2-1. Lampard: "I think today despite the fact that they dominated the game we took our chances better, and that won us the match today." Gerrard: " I really think we dserved better, considering our chances, but you have to give credit they were better when it came to taking oppourtunities." Benitez: "I'll do better I'm the best remember CL final in 05..." CHELSEA 2-1 LIVERPOOL
