Chelsea F.C were held to a 1-1 draw last night by Spanish champions real Madrid at Stamford bridge.
The game took a while to get going, but in the 16th minute arrived the first chance of the match. Lampard found the back of the net but was ruled offside. It took another 19 minutes for the game to produce another chance, with Lukas Podolski playing a great through ball to Lampard who slotted it home, and this time the linesman's flag did not save the Galacticos. But after the goal. Madrid began to attack. A poor clearance from LB Juliano Belletti was gobbled up by Snejider who laid it off for Guti, who slotted it past Cech on 39 minutes to make it 1-1. After half time Chelsea resumed its control over the game. In the 55th minute Lampard had a one on one chance to beat Casillas but butchered the chance, his shot well over the cross-bar. On74 minutes Real nearly stole it when Robinho's chip looked to have found its way into the net, and would have if Juliano Belletti hadn't cleared it of the line with a header. Two minutes later Malouda made way for Joe Cole. But the game finished 1-1 Chelsea 1-1 Real Madrid

Chelsea F.C have beaten Manchester United in the F.A community shield match. A deserved win as they controlled most of the match.
Scolari decided to keep Deco in the starting eleven despite his shortcomings in the match against Real, Lampard started on the bench. After just four minutes Ballack had taken a long shot, straight at Van Der Sar. The first real chance of the game fell to Wayne Rooney. One on one with Petr Cech, the England striker hit his shot just past the post. Chelsea fought back and six minutes later Deco, controlled a Florent Malouda cross well and shot, but Van Der Sar was up to it. Van Der Sar denied Deco again on 36 minutes when Droga found Deco unmarked upfield, Deco beat the last defender, Ferdinand. But again Van Der Sar was upto the shot. The game quietened down until half time and in the 53rd minute a tired Wayne Rooney was substituted for young Brazilian star Anderson. But just ten minutes later, Chelsea took the lead, and again Deco defying those who doubted his performance. Ballack took a long run up the wing before he crossed perfectly, the ball bouncing right in front of an unmarked Deco whose first time shot flew right up into the top corner. Giving Chelsea a 1-0 lead. Deco was immediately substituted however for Riquelme and Podolski made way for Lampard. Riquelme and Lampard made an instant difference, on 70 minutes, Riquelme made a brilliant run down the wing, beating two United defenders, he made a cross that found Lampard whose volley was saved and then cleared. It was Lampard who would deal the final blow to United. After a great run into the box on the counter attack from a United corner, still pursued by 3 United palyers, pushing him to a tough angle, but his shot was entirely unexpected, right across Van Der Sar off the post and in. Making it 2-0 for Chelsea right on 90 minuites. And surely now they had won. United did grab a goal back deep in stoppage time, Paul Scholes' long range shot flying into the top corner past Petr Cech. Making it 2-1, but United still trailed without any time left to equalise. It finished 2-1 to Chelsea, Chelsea were champions of the community Shield, and United went home 'shieldless'. Chelsea 2-1 Manchester United... again...

Chelsea F.C had complacency as their worst enemy against Wigan in their first game of the EPL season against Wigan.
Manager Luis Felipe Scolari made just two changes to the team that beat Manchester United in the community shield match. Riquelme replaced Deco, and Lampard joined Podolski up front at the expense of Lukas Podolski. The obvious scoreline would have been a 4-0 win for Chelsea, but this was a different game, after just nine minutes, Wigan took the lead through Palacios, Chelsea were then shocked again when Emile Heskey then made it two goals to nil after just twelve minutes. And Chelsea were disbelieving. On thirty minutes, it got even worse, King made it three goals to nil, and Chelsea looked out of it. There was some good news before half time, Joe cole scored a consolation goal, and on 56 minutes, Podolski combined well with Lampard to get his second of the season. In the 85th minute, Chelsea needed a hero, they got one, Frank Lampard's long shot flew into the top corner. And Chelsea were level, Wigan were gobsmacked. A 93rd minute corner from Riquelme found Lampard at the near post and he tapped it home to complete an amazing first day comeback for Chelsea F.C Scolari: "I think in the first half we deserved to lose, but full marks to the team for pulling together in the second half to win the game in stoppage time" Lampard:" Well umm... nice to be the hero but I think if we want to win the title we're going to hav to improve alot." So the final score at Stamford Bridge: Chelsea 4-3 Wigan This actually happened. It's sad lol

Yep, dunno, all the goals were from well-worked freekicks, I'm terrible defending them. They chest it then walk around me.
Anyway my next game is vs Newcastle, and well it might just end up 7-0 to Newcastle (Certainly hope not).

Chelsea F.C have dropped points for the first time this season, predictions ranged from 3-2 to... well 7-0 for Nexcastle, but the final score, was 1-1.
The game was slow to get going but on 30 minutes Newcastle took the lead through a brilliant Michael Owen finish. But just two minutes later Cacapa was red carded for an awful tackle on Didier Drogba, who was through on goal. On 39 minutes, Newcastle created another chance, Emre was clean through and forced an inspiring save from Petr Cech. The game got boring after that, but in the 85th minute, Essien made a brilliant run and crossed from the side of the box to the far post where Lukas Podolski tapped home to secure a point for Chelsea. Scolari: "We are disappointed, our pre-season results indicated that we would do better than this. Podolski: "Well its unfortunate we didn't win, I think we were the better team today." Final score at St. James' park Newcastle United 1-1 Chelsea F.C
