This is my first attempt at a MM, so the beginning maybe a tad slow, but bear with me until I get the hang of match reports. I decided to do the Red Bulls because it seems as if America is very neglected when it comes to this forum. The story will begin in the next post, so lets get ready to cross the pond, and convert Americans to a true sport.

The Bergen Record
Osorio Arrested in Drug Bust http://web.mlsnet.com/images/2007/07/09/YgE7v8uL.jpg New York Red Bulls coach Juan Carlos Osorio was arrested after New Jersey state police raided his South Brunswick home on Sunday. The arrest occurred during a STING operation that was focused on a local Colombian drug cartel. The Record obtained confidential information that Juan Carlos hooked up with the cartel during his time with Millonarios, a Bogota based soccer team that plays in the top level of Colombian soccer. Colombian officials are cooperating with both the FBI and New Jersey State Police. There is also some evidence showing that Osorio intentionally throwing games while with the Chicago Fire, another MLS team. Some of these games include losses to losses to the Los Angeles Galaxy and New England Revolution. Through an exclusive phone call with Red Bull's President Marc De Grandpre, The Record has learned that Osorio's contract has been terminated, and the search for a new manager has begun. Some speculators have pointed to Devon Johnson, an American who played for the University of North Carolina, Everton FC, New Castle United, and Marseille FC. |

From the Diary of Devon Johnson
![]() It was sad day for the MLS when Juan Osorio was arrested, but as the say, to me it was a blessing in disguise. Shortly after the arrest was announced, I received a call from Red Bulls. When I finished the conversation and hung up the phone, I was no longer out of a job. Marc De Granpre offered me the head coaching position with the team. After hours of poring over notes and statistics, I have determined the roster that I will be using for the year. I also have figured out a new ratings system, from one until one-hundred, with 1 being the worst, and 100 being the best. So, here is my roster Pos/Age/Ovr Goalkeeper GK/R.Watterus/37/67 GK/J.Conway/30/64 GK/D.Cepero/22/51 Ugh, goalie is not one of my best positions, hopefully I can find an improvement through transfers ![]() Danny Cepero Defenders RB/H.Freeman/22/63 LB/C.Leitch/29/56 LB/K.Goldthwaite/25/56 CB/C.Mendes/27/63 CB/S.Stammler/26/64 CB/J.Parke/25/61 ![]() Hunter Freeman with the shot Blah, I am starting to wish my team was European, it seems Americans just don't care enough 'bout soccer Midfielders RM/D.Richards/24/61 RCM/C.Reyna/34/73 LCM/D.Kovalenko/30/65 LM/D.Van Den Bergh/31/63 CM/J.Vide/23/54 CM/B.Camp/24/49 CAM/S.Ubiparovic/24/56 CAM/C.Mathis/31/67 RM/M.Schopp/33/62 Isn't my team wonderful? On a good day they would lose ten-nil to Blackburn. ![]() The ever youthful Claudio Reyna Strikers CF/J.Altidore/18/68 ST/J.Angel/32/80 ST/J.Laventure/24/51 ST/J.Wolveni/30/60 ST/R.Patterson/22/57 I have about four other strikers, but they are young and rated very low. My strikas are by far my best position. In my next entry I'll paste pictures of our kits and write tidbits about the Red Bulls Franchise History. ![]() My future star, Jozy Altidore ~Devon End Entry Comments are welcome and thank you for reading. I presume you can guess what my next post is. Last edited by chlseafan1219; 29-05-2008 at 09:17 PM.. |

you should use the updated rosters. Altidore is rated better and draft pick E.Brunner is added with others he's good young CB. All the top picks from MLS Superdraft are added in last update, better players and E.Johnson is on Fulham like real life.

Thanks, mate that link proves helpful. Designated player? Wow, never thought I would see that in professional football. I've played my first match, so my post after this one will be my first match report.
********************************************* From the diary of Devon Johnson After spending quite some time with my assistants, have decided my lineup for our first match against Columbus. I am very optimistic about this match, and I expect at the very least to leave with one point. To win, I believe Altidore and Juan Pablo Angel have to be key contributors. If not, Claudio Reyna has to step. But with no further ado, my starting XI. Goalie: Ronald Watterus ![]() Defenders: Hunter Freeman ![]() Chris Leitch ![]() Carlos Mendes ![]() Seth Stammler ![]() Midfielders Claudio Reyna ![]() Dema Kovalenko ![]() Dave Van Der Bergh ![]() Clint Mathis (Couldn't post another Picture, so just use your imagination) Strikers Jozy Altidore ![]() Juan Pablo Angel

maybe you can add these other leagues/cup's besides MLS Open CUP and MLS Playoffs. MLS teams play in these but not in FIFA 08.
