Fifa 08 patch

When I go on to the Fifa 08 patch,it stops at 17% and says,Old file was not found.However,a file the same was not found.no update done since contents do not match. When I move the dialog box it says processing config.dat

I downloaded the UK patch from :: FIFA 08 :: Patches ::

Can anyone help

You have to install the three patches in sequence. If that doesn't resolve the problem then move the dialog box with the error message out of the way and tell us which file it has got stuck on.

It got stuck on config.dat

Sounds like you've installed a third party patch that has messed with one of the INI files held in the CONFIG.DAT wrapper. Backup your existing CONFIG.DAT, restore the version from the DVD and the patches should work (assuming you are applying all of them - if you've changed things since installing a previous patch you'll need to find a way of reverting to the CONFIG.DAT from that patch)

I reinstall the game the install the patch it doesn't worki tried everything.

That usually means that you've downloaded the wrong patches. Are you sure that you've downloaded the correct patches for your version of the game¿ If you've bought the game in the UK, you'll need these patches: :: FIFA 08 :: Patches ::

However, if you're located in France, Germany, The Netherlands or Italy, but have the language set to 'English', you'll need the Central European patches: :: FIFA 08 :: Patches ::

The other thing to remember is that there are different patches for the DVD version and the download version

I downloaded all of the patches there is and it still doesn't work only the patch 1 - squad update stops at 17%

Help us out, if i dont patch the game this is what i will say
I cant trust EA im not buying any of your games ill look for somthing else like pro evo 09 i patched pes09

i gave the game to my freind ill buy fifa 08 again if there is a way to patch it
